hey, I think you've just given me a possible solution for a problem in my last two cars! I get on and off pressure hiss from my current car when I pull the gas cap, and the previous one never seems to hold any pressure in the tank.
I just found your channel and I watch it often I am an auto body technician with 20 years experience. I enjoy watching you work. You forgot the bolt in the left bottom corner of the window track but but it's not like I've never done it.
You have the patience of Job my friend. In all honesty if I had to go through what you just went through with the door motor I would have scrapped it, left it that way and just motored on.. Or I would have destroyed the door out of frustration, broke the window, thrown a tantrum and then maybe walk away after a little more destruction.. Then I would calm down a bit, go check what I just did, felt guilty and then take it somewhere to pay double what it would have cost to fix it in the first place plus the extra damage I created.. LMAO – – You are a saint..!! :)~
Maybe a softer rubber doorstop for holding up the glass. Better gription maybe. Sort of thing you buy and it sits for a year before you need it again. But when you do your glad to have it. Occasionally may find other uses for it which adds to the value in the space it takes up. Got a handful of objects like these on my truck.
i'm stealing your comment econo box with a jeep badge on it when some one says they have a jeep other then a real 2 door jeep I say no you have a in this case a liberty its just made by jeep but I also tell people with 4 door jeeps they have fire wood made of metal or a low class Hummer not a jeep haha
I've had good luck using a razor blade on the black door seal goo. It leaves some on the door and it leaves some on the liner – super easy to get off and super easy to reattach the liner to to the door. Just pull the liner away an inch or so and make slices with the razor blade.
You should of open the oil spout cap to see if the motor has a lot of blowback , I had one that did, they sold it to me like that, unless I'm wrong , that's a sign bad piston rings or possibly a head gasket on any other motor that does that,,,,I mean you could hear the exhaust coming out of it and it covered my hand with an oil film, I quite sure it shouldn't be doing that,,,,,I took back to the dealer and gave it back, I hadnt even made the first payment,,,,they can eat that one !
You are the man Ray. Had a shop repair a broken window and the moron that did the repair just took a knife and cut the plastic door liner so it ruined the barrier.
I see you forgot to snap in that cable tail end into its plastic button hole. No big deal but it could chafe or rattle around. I've done this repair on various vehicles half a dozen times. It's nice to see Jeep has a sorta bullet proof door panel removal sequence. No hidden hardware to bust the panel out.
fixed a couple smashed windows …..tons of glass at the bottom…make sure you get the pieces around where the glass slides into the frame…cut my wrists …sharp as hell those areas….
couldnt you just put a glove on a wedge to help to stop it? I you recommend shelf liner, or some type of rubber, but since you always seem to have rubber gloves I figure that was an easy fix.
Am I the only one who noticed that you didn't replace (or mention replacing) the pin retention clips once you had correctly aligned the pins in the regulator?
As well as the third screw/bolt at the bottom of the regulator assembly?
I'm no mechanic but I love watching these videos. I try to learn as much new stuff as I can…but I mist have missed a step? I didn't see how you got those little clips back on the pins of the window slide?
02-07 Jeep liberty are know for window clips on rear passenger to break you can just replace the clips. Also the white pipe that the worm screw travels through breaks at the ell on the window track or at the motor sometimes you can clean the joint and glue it back.
I'm a do it myself guy when possible , I had a 98 dodge grand caravan and had too fix the power window no new parts but the cable messed up and it was NO FUN getting it back in place , winter cold snowing and no garage.
I thought the video was good, the only thing I would do is put the make, model and describe area you are working on (example window regulator) in description. TY BE SAFE

Ah it’s the 3.7 V6… the Grundy noise is normal 😂😂
is that your regulator, or is your window just happy to see me?
I absolutely hate dodge electrical connectors!

I knew from the thumbnail it was a Jeep Liberty. Worst regulators ever.

good job , just one question , did you put the second bolt in at the bottom of the vertical tract ? the camera didn't show it . any spare parts ? lol
Your code scanner obviously doesn’t speak Italian.
you know when the cord is coming out of the window, the regulator is Fucked, with a capital F.

Did you remember to put the two paperclip-like pin clamps for the window bracket inside to the mecanism?
I laughed my as off. Can you imagine going down the road at 70mph, and that wire comes up. I'd have a heart attack.
This is one of those jobs that sometimes you have to walk away, Relax for awhile, come back and fix it…
why did u replace window regulator, the cable needed tobe rerouted
You for got 1 screw…. The windowslide will now be unevenly loaded and might breake due to this misstake.

put your suction cups on window Ray!!!!!! lol
Good video Ray look forward to more 👍👌

Didnt see him put the pins back in holding the glass lol
Thanks for showing all the details and not just saying "remove the door panel" and then jumping to "disconnect electrical".
The second lower bolt for the vertical bar of the window-mechanism… Reeeeeeeeee!

I have to work on my car myself , thanks for info
I was reaching for the Valium when I saw it was the power window. I've done a few, not happily.
A rubber door stop can be used to hold the glass up. Or put friction tape on your wedges.
Cover those sharp edges in the door panel with masking tape.
I am glad to see you didn't install the speaker in upside down. When you do accidentally install them upside down, the music plays backward.
Looks like you forgot a bolt on the railing, bottom part.

I’m so triggered. How dare you gender that connector as female. You have no right telling it it’s pronoun. HA!
Yes Ray have got my F150 back from dealership with smudges allover the 👓
NOT COOL, 😑
Your so slick ….you skipped over a missing screw on the regulator assembly . I know you saw it , we saw it …. we know !…

I hate working n doors…lol
Are the two metal clips already in place in the new unit to hold the glass pegs?
The window regulator fix/install was different. Enjoyed watching. Thanks for another great video!
