why would anyone mess with a brilliant piece of quality german engineering, and RUIN it by adding some stupid airlift system to adjust the ride height, which was perfect, but now is unbalanced because of that..
That's not an oil leak you noob! That's a expensive rust prevention system (RPS). Only the kids with money have this. It also contribute to the under car airflow so it's top speed is + 5 miles. This is high end man….
I have pressure washed my engines for years, never once had an issue. I do however remove my K&N filter element and stuff a towel in the intake tube. Just saying Ray…..😉
“I’m gonna park the car…” Until you can get into Hahvahd yahd? Just a rolling advertisement for not buying Mini. Enough tough places to reach on my Xterra, much less that thing!
I bought a mini some years ago thinking it would be perfect for my daughter to take to school. It was a pos. Constantly had problems with it. But to my surprise I got $9000 for it as a trade-in. Broke even. Just proves one thing, people have a taste for shit.
I have been washing engines installed in vehicles ever since sealed spark plug wires were invented. Mid 1950s?. I have yet to ruin or damage an engine. As well as pouring water or warm water on my windshield to remove frost, ice or snow. I have never had a windshield to bread from the warm water .
I owned an 08 Mini Cooper and did all the work on it myself. Not easy! You can take the front plastic bumper loose and trim then loosen 4 bolts and move the front forward 3 inches to get at all that stuff. The most fun is installing a water pump on one of these cars. Love the car, not easy to work on.
Ever hear of "Super Clean in the purple jug you can find at Walmart automotive department? You can find it in other places but will cost more. Spray it on full strength or dilute it with water depending on how nasty and oily things are. Let it soak a few minutes then use pressure washer or hose with a spray nozzle with a brush if needed. WARNING! DO NOT ALLOW on painted surfaces!! It will destroy paint!!
I see the Automatic distribution Anti Rust fluid is working well, don't forget to have a really good day Ray…
what is that spray you are using?

That's a real SLICK car, dude . . .
Way back in the early 90's at the Chevron station we called junkers "Gems" in the shop just in case one of the customers was listening.
Good thing you covered that air filter before dousing the engine bay with brake kleen and water. Very professional, good job ray.
I love how the cold air intake is directly behind the entire engine block. You know that has to be extremely effective in adding ponies.

You should be Sainted Sir! I would have said F.O.!!!
That suspension is terrible..
It still has that freshly stolen off some dude's lot smell too!
Looks like somebody’s mod fail car.
Never use a pressure washer on your cars engine! Doing so can result in shorting out the main computer or other issues!
Man those 1.6 "engineered by BMW, built by Peugeot" engines are crap as standard and new. Let alone old an modified.
Im wondering why not just cut the hose and get more room for to work in and get the clamp out since that hose is being replaced anyway
I hope you charge all that cleaning fluid to the customer just saying

Like trying to spit shine a turd.
It's got the Exxon Valdez mod
Spends all that money on mods but neglects the important stuff! 🤷🏻♂️
Great title for this episode.
You just got the owners hot air. Cold air intake filter all wet. Good. Charge him for carbon cleaning.
The douche mobile.
I'd have cut the radiator hose to get it out of the way.

It’s got one of those hot air intakes 😂
What…kind of HOSE would this be, that leaks oil?
hot air intake, nice.

That oil leak keeps the tire from undo wear when it rubs the frame.
Was there a part 2 video? Thank you 🙏
There's so much oil everywhere I was afraid the car would slide right off the lift.
What's that spray?
Now you can find the oil lik
Should that even be on the road?
Not used to hearing Ray cuss. Used to the goofy dad like commentary.
We have the weight reduction mod — OMG that had me rolling.. LMAO — Love the content Rainman.. 🙂

It's obvious they do a lot of work on this car without a mechanic. Not sure why they need you to fix it.
externally lubricated combustion engine……man thats rare as rocking horse poop
making low cars even lower what could go wrong?

That car should just be taken to the scrap yard and thrown in the trash. Owner ruined it.
I wouldn't even offer to work on that thing
