Where is the compressor oil added to compensate for the condensor replacement 🤔 never mind the leak… Manufacturers do specify the ammount. Toyota engineered to work on is nice.

replaced condenser on moms scion xA. only thing is my harbor freight gauge high side hookup is STUCK. even replaced the valves and blew everthing out with compressed air and added 4oz oil mix, then a 12 oz can

This week was starter problem week for me at the shop I work at. Diaged 4 no start issues, 2 of which were bad starters. Other 2 were starter wiring related.

THE 2 BOTTOM BOLTS (as I see it…) SHOULD HAVE BEEN PRE THREADED IN PLACE…THE 2 BOTTOM BRACKETS WERE SLOTTED FOR EASIER INSTALL WHEN LOWERING CONDENSER INTO PLACE…(I guess you didn't spot it…)

THE CLEAR LIQUID USED TO MAKE A STONE IMPACT OR CRACK DISAPPEAR…IS ACRILIC ACID…IT IS UV SENSITIVE…A UV LIGHT LIKE YOURS WILL "SET" OR CURE THE ACRILIC ACID…IT KIND OF BONDS THE GLASS TOGETHER…HOWEVER IF THAT VEHICLE GOES INTO OR OUT OF A STEEP CURVEY DRIVEWAY…THE BOND WILL CRACK FURTHUR BECAUSE OF UNIBODY FLEX…(This has been a NUTSHELL Report)

I did the "oh what a feeling, Toyota" today installing a remote starter and trailer hitch on a new RAV4. Tomorrow I will probably get GMs and be in a bad mood and yell across the shop GM is now small enough to allow to fail.

Great video. I replaced a radiator in my 08 CRV and a condenser in my old Jeep. Two separate occasions. Both parts arrived in the mail slightly banged up and under close inspection, bent/broken. They are fragile. I wonder why they don't just pack them a bit better.

What makes Ray special is he says all the things we think as he works. Plus it's real mechanic talk. I also see this unit was designed to drop over the bottom bolts before the top screws are applied. I will keep a mental note in case my Camry ever needs a condensor.
You ain't kidding about repair trends. I have taken out 5 dashes in the last 3 weeks. 4 for either evaporator core or evap temp sensor replacement and 1, an H2 for a BCM replacement. Shop owner is calling me the Dashman 🤣

The mounts on the bottom of that are open slots. Not throwing shade here, but you could have threaded the bolts before installing the part, then just guided the slots onto the bolts rather than playing "find the hole".
