So on the driver's side of my engine on my mazda 6 I have oil that some got on electrical connectors the small belt that runs the water pump its sprayed everywhere on hoses the under side of engine cover I sprayed silicone lube cleaned it a bit because from what I read you should only use brake clean to clean metal parts.. would it be an issue if sprayed the belt and pulleys and everything covered in gunk or should I not be a lazy sob and take everything apart and clean it?
I think there was a speck on the driver's strut tower just behind the screw 🤔 I always get told I use too much brake cleaner. "Too much?" Naaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh! No such thing!
None of the shops which have worked on my vehicles clean ANYTHING with brake cleaner except brakes. They just leave everything covered in oil and schmoo. Latest was the garage that did a BG transmission fluid service. Spilled fluid everywhere,dripping on my driveway.. I used two cans of bake cleaner on it myself..
Really funny until you get the cancer diagnosis. Read the damn contents I've lost more than one friend and coworker to this stuff and other carcinogenic materials used in a variety of work places. The guy who used to laugh at us complaining died the most horrific long death to multiple myeloma, and another guy had 7 different cancers and had to be kept unconscious for the last month of his life. IT'S NOT WORTH IT GUYS!!!
I cleaned a engine with foam tire cleaner before and it killed my battery. Totally drained it……wouldn't even take a jump. Last time I spray any kind of liquid all over the engine. NO battery problems until I sprayed the foam tire conditioner all over the engine.

But Either way sir.. I know you are a stickler for returning customers cars in better shape then when you got them…. you most likely will need two more full cans of brake clean to get that spot clean?? I just really wanted to point that out to you.. just in case?? You might have missed it.. Great video once again sir, stay safe.

When I was working on cars, we would buy break clean in 5 gallon containers. Then I have a nice refillable spray can. Fill it up with cleaner. Add sone compressed air and away you go. Worked great. Of course it takes a little time to fill back up and add air once you ran out. A lot cheaper Going this way, then all them cans. Worked just as well.
