Done.
Nobody can build those actuators anymore. They're all garbage even when you take them out of the box.
The most annoying sound ever.
Fu** Auto. GO MANUAL and be GOLDEN!!
Enough with the Vertical phone video "old school"
Please use Landscape. Not that hard to rotate phone.
Thank You !!!
It's called an actuator. It has +/- drive voltage only (two wires). The computer counts commutator pulses for postilion control. But has a couple of plastic gears that cause this. Needs replacement.
You had me at Dodge…
The limit switch is the real problem
Wait till Borderlands 4. Lol
Wow, nothing but plastic parts that will get more brittle and weak as the car ages. Planned obsolescence!
Forever Vacuum replaced by hi maintenance expensive Electric……..Go Feature !
Not going to lie, I had that same problem like 2 months ago on a 2015 Jeep Patriot. Stupid thing would start clicking when I unlocked the jeep. Had to crawl in on my back to get under the dash. All in all, not too difficult to replace.
Sounded like an airsoft mp5
Have not bought a dodge product ever since fiat took over. But the others are not too far behind them. Unfortunately.
Dang! : (
That design is a disgrace. Manufacturers have been relying on measuring motor stall current to determine end position for decadesโฆ..and for decades it always ends with broken gearboxes. Cheap bastards!
Sadly for the caravan I tried to replace the actuator…..the problem is the climate control unit not activating it
Sounds like the drill you used to try removing….not OK
Took me a minute to figure out what I was watching, then it all came flooding back to me. Had to replace this part in my Avenger once.
Almost seems like theres a defective limit switch that should shut off the actuator once it reaches the end.of its travel range that isnt.activating, so the actuator motor dorsnt shut off when it should and just grinds itself to death.
I watched the full vid this morning but I'll give a like on this to support my favorite Florida Man grease monkey. ๐๐ป
The determination to use a motor and a computer where a cable used to do the same job. 'Progress'
kinda looks like the dodge avenger. Flip the gear 180 and youre good for another couple years lol
Not gonna lie,,,got me with the gearbox lmao……already seen the video lol…๐ค๐ค๐๐ฏ๐บ๐ธ
Plastic gears.garbage…cheap suppliers.
I'm liking the Aerosmith
You get the thumbs up but I despise all you tube shorts. Surely it benefits them more that the channel creator.
I have to swap the actuator out on my Impala at least once a year. Thank god it has a lifetime warranty. Cheap ass plastic parts!!!
Thumbs up for Aerosmith (yeah, already saw the long version. ๐

Ford's do the same ๐
