It gives you "cramps" – – – but you LOOK so good wearing it. Keep up the quips!
Not much of a "driving can be fun" guy, is you?
What I like is I live in a river valley, and when I am stopped at a light going up the hill, people get up right on your donkey, giving you no room to roll back at all when engaging first.
Most Americans don't know that manual transmissions exist.
Not a problem in Florida, I guess, flatter than Kansas.
What does a can on an exhaust do?
I have people decline them all the time at our shop… Sway bar bushings are such an easy and cheap fix!
I'd need two of these. One for each foot 🤣🤣🤣
I had a lady tell me she had a scrape noise. Test drove it and heard scrap, clunk, and grinding. Found backing plate rubbing LF rotor. Bent it back scrape gone. Wrote up other noise she came back the next day and tried to say she wanted the other noises diagnosis not just the scrape luckily when she dropped off the car we had her write what she wanted looked at and it said scrape. So now I'm doin brakes all around, and struts and shocks with new springs in the rear.
My 70 fiat 850, rear engine,….like a go cart with headlights…..
Was the owner of the Mazda a jockey?
That’s a “chick car”.
Yes,your driving a real European car not an American car pretending to be European and white van man doesn't like it. Every one is in his way. Further you are getting better milage then him and have better performance and he hates that too. Now if it was right hand drive you could shift with your left hand all the time.
I broke my right arm two years in a row & had to drive my Scirocco with a short shifter with my left hand & it was extremely sketchy. On the plus side I got really good at wiping my ass with the wrong hand.
Fun fact the NC Miata, shares the rear suspension design with the RX8. Great suspension design.
There's a sidewalk on the right side of the road.
Swerving back and forth over it should produce the clunking noise.
Good to see one of the elusive MANUAL transmission cars. Being from Europe, this is the norm here.
When renting cars in USA, I'm always asked "do you really know how to drive stick shift?", when asking for one.
A little statistics: "According to a study by Edmunds, more than 80% of cars sold in Europe have a manual transmission, as compared to just 3% in the U.S."
My 85 Mazda RX-7 was a daily driver for many years and similar but maybe a tad longer in size to the Miata
I can in honesty and with assurance call you wrong for once. It’s a roller skate not a skateboard. Naughty, naughty…🤣
People hate us miata drivers lol no idea why we just enjoy the handling of the car on the back roads going home lol
How small is the owner that they need a peddle extension on a mx5
ok well Ray you found the problem and the customer says that's not the noise, then he can either pay you to randomly replace stuff that is not the problem or he can fix it himself. Ray you found the problem, buy like the old saying goes you can lead a hose to water but you can't make the idiot drink. or something like that. LMAO
I would not normally negatively comment, but this time I must. It seems to me to be likely cause wear on the sway bar like to spin the bolt. That causes the ball joint to spin. Isn't that likely to cause wear on the ball and socket?
Aftermarket Rubbish!!!! …. does not need that crap!!!!
Rey gettn cramps!?!
only reason I dislike is because you always leave us hanging what was the outcome?????!!!!!!!
Going over a speed bump at 32mph while turning left 🤦🏼♂️
what is the difference between a Miata and a MX 5?
The car gives you cramps because it’s a lady’s car. 🤣🤣
Tuned the suspension to eat my tool….Lmao. luv it~!
I love how the owner hears a clunk over bumps, you find the source of the clunking noise and then the owner proceeds to tell you that isn't it the noise he was hearing.
Perhaps it was psychosomatic clunking?
a matchbox car
Let little man fix it.
Did you tell him that Miata’s are for girls…?
Isn't this position the softest now? Would've guessed it stiffens the other way 🤔
j KJ,M
Isn’t a bad practice spinning the stud instead of just the nut on a stabilizer link ?
Shifting with your left hand is easy! I do it every day…
Hi from Australia 🙂
The parts on that car seemed to be a mash-up of overkill parts and right next to it maximum under kill. I would never fit in that car, 6'2". Kinda like the early S10s.
Diagnosis? Don't drive around with that one dude in the car.
You don't get in a Mazda Miata. You put it on!
If he has aftermarket endlinks like that up front, he should check to make sure they're not chaffing the rubber brake lines. Mine were, luckily I caught it right away and zip tied for clearance.
That’s small car survival 101, drive like everyone is trying to run into you.
Why doesn't the customer think it's the sway bar bushings? They do 'clunk.' Maybe he should just turn up the Mazda's stereo–then, he won't hear the clunking sound so much…
One time I was stoned and mistook a 17 for a 19. …only human.
Whát a FEMININÉ Gháyhé Veee-Hikull for ân Power-Phull Aadmé to bé Driving 😲😲😲😲😩😩
The car not made for the tall anytime over 5ft8in gonna have a tight fit!
Why do you always leave gravity turned ON when you work on these vehicles?!?!?! It's a headache…
It really bothers me when you put the floormat paper upside down. You need to make sure the feet on the paper are facing forward. Just like the way you like your belts and oil caps.
i live in hamilton canada. i have trouble finding a smooth peice of road so i don't have to hear any noises / stop laughing . you have a great show!
At last a gear shift. It must be owned by a Brit.
I was asked to diagnose a clunking noise that the guy said was coming from under the car. He said when you turned left or right you would hear the rather loud clunking noise like there was a major problem with something very loose underneath from the center toward the rear. Well, I took it around the block and heard that loud clunking noise. Opened the trunk, and there was this bowling ball back there that had rolled out of it's carrying bag and was just rolling around freely. It sounds like this is not an unusual problem based on at least one comment below.
