All that electronic gadgetry in there looks like it was developed to interface with the brain chip that will soon be going into our heads.

I’m from Canada, that isn’t even cold enough to warrant long pants. An ice scrapper helps clear windows…

One more reason why I don't own a dodge.

Guys, this is historic! The moment Ray pulled that drain plug, he discovered a new component called The Spray Bar!

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sven Schwingel says:

Your wiper blades just love to scrape over ice. It makes them last really long 🤣

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars r m says:

    😆 🤣 use the defroster.

Come to Streeter IL when it’s -12 outside. We can go sledding

    Snake oil

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars spacedinvader69 says:

Credit cards work as ice scrapers in a pinch. Use the side that doesn't go thru the machine though. 😆

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tsty5 says:

As northeast u buy a scraper and u don’t use the washing fluid as that would freeze too.

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars gearheadchef says:

I live in South Dakota….I am just putting on my winter coat at 32 degrees!

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Black III says:

OMG, I'm cringing at your wiper blade use in cold weather.

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dan Glenn says:

I've been watching and I think I've watched almost all of your videos . I love all of them But this time you scared me when I thought you extended the mirror out before you backed it up past the lift. I could definitely see that happening very easily. Yikes! Has it happened before? I can keep a secret.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gustavo Di Palma says:

You should know that closer to sun up the temperature drops rather than going up…

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars nachojones1 says:

Don't forget to use the defroster option. ,,,, 🤣

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Justin Ferguson says:

Heck yeah that’s awesome, a Nc shout out. Garner, Nc is like 2-3hrs away from me

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dallaschef says:

I too own a disel and am located in Dallas Texas but have to add non freezing products to the gas tank in order to keeo the fuel from gelling.

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Diz Awn says:

Use your Canadian Tire credit card for a scraper. Also that's not a cold start, it's not even freezing

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ricky Brazzell says:

That big nator is a motor/alternator and lithium batteries which is a cheaper hybrid and provides short bursts of extra power for the engine. This thing will be a mechanics nightmare if it goes kaput.

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris Barclay says:

Advice from the north. A credit card will pass as an ice scraper in a pinch.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars midnightelectric1 says:

Cap less fuel systems cuz they weren't happy just fucking up gas cans.

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Scrappydog1 says:

Yer block heater on a timer sure helps speed defrosting, set it about 2 hours before you go to work when cold weather is on the way.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Angry Beaver says:

I always put new oil on the seal

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bill Chmelik says:

    Where is your ice scraper?

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Sonic Zone says:

    The weather is abnormal, world-wide.

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ashley Hall says:

That would not happen to your oil filter after you use a oil filter wrench instead of a pair of oil filter pliers but you still make amazing videos and you're an amazing mechanic thanks for the content

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bryan Dalton says:

Un-dialuted screen wash in a kitchen spray gun to de-ice screen, 3:1 diluted in the screen wash bottle, add dish soap to cut grease and remove bugs. On a bad morning 6 pint milk carton with hand hot water from the tap (faucet) douche the screens and mirrors its cheap.

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John Solomon says:

I founded out if you turn on defroster on high will warming up engine that I did in Kansas for 3 years.

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars xshanghu says:

    Cold

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daniel Ventura says:

During last months cold snap I actually had to warm up my car for 15 minutes to get the ice off it.

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dave s says:

Here in Oz, in similar cold areas, I used to leave Newspaper on the windscreen overnight, to stop the ice forming. Also used to carry a large container of water in the Boot (Trunk). In an emergency No. 1s also work! 😉

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Alford says:

The E-Torque thing looks like Chrysler’s BSG (Belt Start Generator) unit. Basically a 48v+ system that can be used to start the car or add extra torque at specific times.

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Willem says:

Ray, you're a great mechanic, and also king in spoiling liquids… And for de-icing you need de-icer and a scraper..

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sargent Sakto says:

They should make engineers do basic maintenance on these vehicles they design. I mean the oil drain plug is 2” from and pointing directly at the sway bar. There’s no way they could have moved it to the left or right side or even directly below the center of the oil pan?

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sargent Sakto says:

I live just 20 miles from Garner NC. Do they really still have classes like their auto tech? I believe that’s when public education started downhill. When they started eliminating all the shop classes. Look you can make an easy six figures as a welder with no student loan debt. Now you get out of 4 years of leftist indoctrination with a liberal arts degree and 200K of debt and can’t get a job.

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bradley Spear says:

Brake cleaner is also good for killing wasps! Spray them with this when they're about five feet high and they will be dead before they hit the floor!

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jonathan DeMong says:

Hey, I was curious if catching the old dripping oil could also introduce contaminants to the new filter, or if it's just the drain pan itself that was the issue.
Love watching your video to help me growing own diagnostic techniques. And I love seeing your sense of humour at the inevitable "reeeee"s that appear.

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Zero says:

    Those FCA engineers 😑

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars thegreendank1 says:

That's the high temp for me

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars AdmiralAss says:

30 is balmy a day here, let me know its -40 outside and your turning wrenches lol. Thanks for the content.

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars kevin r says:

Will you be making a video on the 6.0L Sonoma? Sounds insane

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars J. Cooper says:

No ice scrapers in florida…lol…here in Michigan there plentiful….lol.. curious do u recommend doing this flush…196,900 miles.change it every 5,000 miles.. never used flush…hate to hurt my motor…just common chevy lifter tick on cold start up…

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jonathan Wilfred Michelin says:

I'm sorry but I came across this video this morning and I looked out yesterday morning I had three inches of snow and two inches of ice on my windshield I'm in Eastern Canada it's been minus 38 Celsius, the last few days

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars srvrace says:

I’m from Minnesota, hilarious to see Floridians in winter distress. 31 is shorts weather for many here. Also a credit card would have done wonders for your ice up. As a guy who has worked on stuff most of my life I really appreciate your videos. You remind me of a good friend of mine growing up. He has owned his own shop for the last 19 years or so. Good stuff 👍🏻

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Brad Noyes says:

I put the oil filter or oil (only works if you buy jugs of oil) on the driver's seat so I see it when I go to start it. I started doing this after forgetting to install the filter on my truck. I was doing power steering work and thought "I'll leave the filter off for now so I have more room to work on the power steering". I had already filled it with oil, but then I forgot to install the filter and started it. When the oil pressure didn't come up after a few seconds I shut it off to investigate. Turns out a Melling HVHP oil pump can pump about 6 quarts of $10/qt synthetic oil out onto the ground in just a couple seconds.

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Greg Karampelas says:

Under the weather and I have sequestered myself in the bedroom. I am binging your vids. As a Californian who takes the occasional trip to the high mountains near Yosemite, I’ve learned that half a cup of rubbing alcohol per gallon of washer fluid really helps to cheaply de-ice your wind shield. Keep up the good work!

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The Stig says:

What brand of XL wrench do you use ?

  49. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Stampley says:

I had a Mr. Stevens in my autoshop class in a small town in texas… back in my jr/sr year of high school….. nearly 14 years ago now lol love your content. keep it going!!!!!
