Maybe the dude sleeping in his car IS home.
Nice job Ray.
Ray you missed the oil cap ….. Kama!!
Booster hose loose
You can tell it’s quitting time on a Friday. Ray left the oil cap upside down.
********That wiring harness makes it easy to confuse those two injectors.*********
You didn't mention the upside down oil cap
i had a 1.25 fiesta with just over 300k miles and running like a clock .. under body rust ended its life .. needed nothing but regular service parts and a couple of batteries … great little car …
The main problem is the oil cap is on upside down. 🙃
One other thing I always do is fuel injector o rings. Not really a bad job. Good video
But please tell me you fixed that upsidedown oil fill cap 🤣
Remember, it's not paranoia if it's true!
Nice job Ray! Good diagnostics. Always enjoy your videos!
Do you ever check your plug gap on new plugs? I only mention it because the last set of iridium Autolite spark plugs I put in were 44 thousands for two and 52 thousands for the other two
Does anyone make magnetic sockets, so we don't keep losing bolts in the engine compartment?
hand start threads first?
Ray, did you not notice the problem. It was staring you in the face. The oil filler cap is on upside down
barely running on half a roll of duct tape at 300k 😉
You missed the problem that would have solved everything! The oil filler cap was on upside-down!
I'm not sure if you know how much you're helping me learn mechanic work. So i just want to say thanks ray, even though you'll never see this, I'll still post to help with the algorithm.
Cheers from the horse capital!
Best wishes
I pray you are using eye protection each time you use compressed air! Just closing your eyes does not work real well.
Yep…that runs good
Old Henry's smiling.
Surprised it worked out with the oil cap being improperly installed 😁
I have a 2001 Escape with 285,000 miles. It really prefers OEM plugs. Replacing the rubber boots on the coils at each 100,000 tuneup is a good idea also. Put dielectric grease on the battery terminals.
Had a fire escape to that had the same problem was told it was a bad valve in the number 3 cylinder so I sold it for junk
Fords and toyotas run forever…….unlike GM garbage
Should have stopped checked on him or her could be dead said car
One more satisfied customer. Victory!
The Psychology Of Mans Attraction To Shiny Objects
It is no secret that humans are attracted to shiny things. This is a fact born up by the popularity of such products as the iPhone gold, diamond jewelry, shoes with studs, chrome bumpers and many other examples. Scientists have been interested in figuring out the psychology behind the human obsession with shiny objects, leading them to conduct research into the topic. 😂
My grandson’s 2004 Mazda 6 is equipped with this same engine. There is NOTHING easy to repair on his car. It is as if an engineer from Ford made a bet with a Mazda designer: “Hey, I bet you can’t shoe horn this engine into the Mazda 6” the Mazda designer said “Oh yeah? Hold my beer”
Of course when you are working for free, nothing is easy. I can’t very well charge my grandson for fixing his car. But doing any work on that engine is a lot like trying to get fly sh*t out of a pepper shaker while wearing boxing gloves.
Good video.
Nice work Ray. Enjoy your videos.
It's the CLAW
A deep well in Fl, all you get is salty water.
On your dully when you were putting shocks on.. you back out and I noticed your hanger bearing on drive safe needed replacement. I like to see that video.
I think Peter must be blowing into the mike out of your peripheral vision.
i hate this video you didnt pour any thing
i had a service manager that used to like to tell everyone their stuff would take 20 mins the flag time is 6 hours but nope 20 mins so i feel ya
710/genie lamp cap left upside down.
holly crap. all this for some spark plugs
That guy sleeping in his car was probably traveling.
only criticism …………….you didnt turn the oil filler cap round …the writing was upside down , but we'll overlook that this time cuz it was Friday going home time after all 😀
Peeeetaaa
I use to have a needlenose pliers that had a little spike thing on the tip of the jaws and I used them to gap iridium plugs, not sure what the pliers was for.
I would clean areas under both blue sets of gaskets before reassembling 🙂
Another great video. Thank you
Pretty good looking (relatively) high mileage vehicle (we've never had a single vehicle go 300k miles). Nice work with the diagnosis.
the oil cap is on upside down
