In this video I have a look at a 2003 Chevrolet Express that came in with a customer complaint that the low beam headlights do not work. Could be just the bulbs but I doubt it. Let's have a look. -Enjoy!

I really enjoy watching your diagnostic strategy
Spiders come as standard equipment on the Chevy Express'. Thanks for the video.
After crawling around under the hood of my Silverado with the BIG 4.8, I will definitely skip the van idea for future reference.
Hoy hoy south main auto fantastic channel, I have a 2013 silverado with the big 5.3 . My question is do you have any video on afm problems or fixes fortunately I do not have a problem yet I just want to be able to recognize a problem early. Thank you and you need to move to North Carolina, not as cold and snowy and no rusty crusty ,I also have what would be an antique in your area 1992 silverado short bed. Thanks again mike from pleasant garden nc.
Mr. and Mrs. O.s are best examples to us all. They are sitting examples in team work. Mr. O is the funniest father ever along with a great Mrs. O.
hey Eric I got one I have a 2000 blazer that my internal lights don't light and my drl don't work please help I checked fuses and I have neg on both sides of one fuse is that right ?
My 2002 gmc savana 3500 has NO HIGH BEAMS. Fuses are ok. In the beginning…I could repetitively flick the high been stalk on the column and the brights would come on for a few seconds. Then they’d pop back to Los beam. Now it won’t do it. I replaced the headlight switch. No change. Could it be the steering column stalk???
Eric you are the man. Subscribing commentors….. The icing on the cake
if I recorded every car I fixed I'd be you…but I'm me 😢 and thus don't hit record
Whenever I talk dirty to the "Fuse" the opposite happens.. it turns itself off. 🙂
These videos help me with troubleshooting computer problems that aren't car related cuz I don't think the way Eric does–i think in a circular pattern and spiral my way in, which works if something is just busted but if it''s intermittent will drive you nuts.
Im sorry to point this out Eric but "puss-y" isnt a word to describe something that has pus on it LOL as always great vids and thank you so much for everything you've taught me
"Valeo Made in Canada"… Am I supposed to draw any conclusions?
So, you're operating two businesses? South Main Pet Adoption Services. I'll come by next time I want an arachnid.
It could be shorted at light switch.
Low beam relay in engine compartment.
Your diagnosis skills are nothing short of amazing. Love these kinda of videos.
My Eric favorite is, “Hey! It’s that guy!”
Awesome sense of humor and still getting stuff done
I have a very quick fix for that van …. don't drive it at night.
Next time my headlight goes, im gonna try dirty talking to the fuse box🤣
Can we get some alignment videos ?
Don't give up Eric we know these times are not easy
Its like I'm watching myself work, why the hell is this so entertaining??
Clearly they still haven't gotten all the bugs out of it yet.
the crusty box bar and grille, "warm beer, bad food and crusty pies"
I had the exact issue on my 2004 express and I ended up swapping the wires at the headlamp connectorcand have no higj beem and low beem works in high beem position (LOVE THE VIDEO)WAS RELUCTANT TO PULL THAT FUSEBOX AND MY EXPRESS HAD CURRENTLY 599444 MILES ON IT)
owner probably opened the hood, looked and said nope, to the shop it goes 🙂
Back in my day when Fred flintstone roamed the earth , you hardly had problems with headlight stuff. They had that heavy duty switch s for low to high on the floor. But some electrical engineer said hey we can make it real fancy to change fro m high to low beam. Kiss!
Eric O.: "This video's probably going in the trash"
560K subs simultaneously: "NOOOOOOOoooooo!!!!….."
The Crusty Box Bar…………Not a sponsor! Have a similar issue with the DRLs on my Colorado
Typical
Arguably the best narrator on YouTube. He verbalizes every single thought that goes thru his mind, and how hes mentally going thru the steps.
Here we go again
why after all, would you put the fuse box where it is somewhat easy to get to.
"Don't go poking in the wrong hole, because that ………."
How may of us said "will get you in trouble" , just before he said " will get you in trouble "?
Lmao what turns this relay on? Pmsl
Those connectors are a freaking PITA to remove lol
The dimmer switch slam tilt 2 or 3 times lmao
Genius. Pure, 100% Tabasco, genius.
No reason for these idiot engineers to run headlights through a module other than job security. No computer chips might make cars great again.
Yep, my express lane to hell will be receiving a new wire ran from relay to a toggle switch somehow when needed. It will out last all the other Play-Doh operator controls GM ripped every body off on.
Funny this company is the least of the evils out of all these car manufacturers, it's like they are in competition to out do each other in terrible design and quality, and it's only getting worse, it should be against the law if they didn't have government their pockets. Sick of it all, and would love to meat n greet these engineers. Seriously though, couple people just got run over on the bridge other day because car died in middle of bridge. How many families have gotten killed because of deliberate manufactured failure into products in the name of greed. The scene in the movie fight club about recalls is not a far cry from the truth.
I was wondering if you have ever heard of the Power Probe 3. My dad and I use one all the time when we have to diagnose electrical issues on semi-trucks. You can apply 12v to a line, or ground to a line. They work like a charm.
Great Video Mr O
Hey Vern quit using that there test light..Use a Lo ad pro or a power probe there Jr…
What year is it? Then I'll know when to get rid of mine
isn't the express and the savanna vans the EXACT Same Van?
I cant see entire sticker put i assume it says "Work Harder Nation's welfare depend on you" What kind of guilt trip -sticker is that..
"A proper gentleman does not motor about after dark". Lucas.
Very informative….
Those relay tester jumpers are very handy. you don't need them a lot so it could be argued that it is an expensive tool for what it does. When you do need it, it saved a lot of time. Thanks, Eric. Excellent, as always.
