In this video I have a look at a 2010 Chevrolet Traverse 3.6 that was dropped off with a customer complaint of, stability light, traction control light, ABS light and engine light on. They also noticed that the transmission would not shift. Let's have a look. -Enjoy!

My uncle has a 2013 chevy traverse ltz and it is a no crank no start no gauges it says service airbag service traction control service stabilitrac and the dtcs are u1511 p1682 p2535 also has no locks and no windows
Those the transmission for a 2012 requires reprogrammed ? Junkyard told its needs reprogrammed
Enjoyed your video. Now to see if this is my issue as well….
I think this is what's wrong with my 08 Buick enclave CXL yesterday I was driving and then out of nowhere bit just wouldn't move anymore no forward and no reverse and no communication with the transmission had to have it towed home
Thank you Eric, this video just saved me a bunch of money I was about to buy a tcm for my 2011 traverse. I had the exact same issue!!
Thank you for this video, me and my family are on vacation in North Carolina in my wife's traverse had the same problem. Your video was awesome to help me fix it in the parking lot of the condo we were renting. Thank you so much save the trip to the dealership.
Today's JOKE : A guy walks into a shop . They are not to well trained . He says : I have CAN BUS trouble . The shop says : I don't know anything about the 🚐 BUS to Canada . Why don't you call Greyhound ?
Your brain must be incredibly dense. Because your head seems to be of a normal size. Gosh youre sharp my friend
Outstanding track down. My 12 Traverse had the EXACT same fault. Only thing I did different was solder in a splice wire in place and finished with heat shrink.
Amen on the crimp and seal connectors. There's nothing worse than a cold solder joint that fails inside a heat shrink connector.
I always squeeze to hard and split the plastic. Stopped using them and switched to a lineman's splice with waterproof shrink tubing.
What’s the odds of having a faulty wire on the inside of a wire loom/jacket if the appearance of the loom/jacket is clean with no damage? Deciding whether to remove the whole tubing or not.
They were probably intimidated by the daunting task of searching it out
Gotta love those left handed tape jobs .
Just got this issue on my wifes 2012 Chevy traverse code u0101 and found this video After work was done But I ended up taking it to the dealer and instead of it being a melted wire the now call it a Corroded wire issue so it would not be covered under any Warranty.
Step one….pop hood. Nope crack a beer
Bigclive did a video on those heat shrink solder connectors before I even got a chance to waste my money on them, now I’ll never know if they would have been good enough for what I do or if there is a way to get good adhesion on them because it’s too much of a risk to knowingly go against Clive and his review, if I watched everything he puts out and all of project farms videos and remember the results, I’d be able to afford shoes that seem the best when watching rose anvil videos XD
Awesome
love watching you diagnose problems, you are a true craftsman!
You're an amazing mechanic man. been a mechanic for like 10 years and you still make it look so simple. I just wish I knew electrical systems more. I always have to look up numbers and all.
I will have to buy those connectors and the torch. You are the cat's meow!👍👍👍
Description says Chevy Traverse but Eric O said Chevy Equinox.😳 There's your problem lady!
It's not the type of solder. It's just solder. It alloys with the wire and the whole thing becomes brittle and doesn't tolerate the shaky environment of a car. I've learned over the years to just stop being a soldering nerd and to just crimp things. Quicker and better.
Heya, Eric! What's your view on the LGBTQ+ Comm? It is June now after all, and it is pride month. I do enjoy your videos but I think the transgender remark was a little uncalled for without any context.
Thanks Eric O! Long time fan of the channel. Well today this is exactly what I found wrong with my wife’s 2012 Traverse. The way it acted and with all the lights on you would have thought the thing was ready for scrap.
Great job again like always
My trunk only opens 1 out of 20 or so pushes maybe sometimes – drive & push the switch & the odds go 1 out of 4 – my car is like my ex wife – except cheaper
South Main Rock Hard Auto. Love it bro!
I love it when you brought out "Bob"!!!
So you like Good Mythical Morning / Rhett and Link??
hey what brand are those green and black t-handle nut drivers
How sharp was that connector edge to chafe the wire? I always use the smallest quarter drive short socket that matches tape width. You're a sharp troubleshooter!!!
Chevy Traverse owners outside of manufacture warranty need hazard duty pay.
Edit: Wait. A 2010 still on the road. Whoa. New record for Chevy Traverse. Off course its probably had at least 1 warranty transmission repair …
Connector designed to accept suitably sized poly loom….. poly loom stops short, wire looks to have rubbed on connector housing. Fantastic engineering 😶
Bro, first thing I was thinking was you gotta blown "trans gender" fuse on that General Moneymaker…but then I was in disbelief when I seen you had a bright light when you poked your test thingy in there.
But duuuude you totally found her by goin down and giving her the good old "spreadaroo" and given her a little extra lovin' down there.
BTW, it always comes out the front when you are doing it correctly 😂😂😂
Agreed on the solder connectors…I've found they are not the general go to and are far more dickin around!
Ohhh poor Dick, his name is always used to describe poorly made products.
"GM forgot to put the battery in the car" – that's funny stuff. Audi Q7 engineers did the same thing. They are a bear to get to. Thanks, Eric. Always good to watch.
Nice work Mr. O.
I concur about crimping, nothing like a good mechanical crimp for wires in my opinion.
@BigClive actually recently did a review and tests with the solder butt connectors, junk. Not enough solder to make a solid joint….. Keep it up with what you do
So um why did you say it's a Equinox then it clearly says in the title of the video and description it's a Traverse??
Isn’t it always that the most complicated faults just start and end with a crusty wire! Good job Eric! 👍
I'm going to download your knowledge as soon as I exit the matrix.
Thanks for the great video!
Great Job, enough said. (Thumbs up everyone)
It's a GM thing….. My '48 has it in font of the passenger seat….
Had the same problem 2 weeks ago, cust brought in his own trans control module in wanting it replaced. After taking apart found same wire coroded, Also why don't you use your sand blaster on brake brackets
I believe its showing error because it was driven while speedo wasnt working. (Technically meaning the car thinks the miles arent correct) know what I mean?
