I'm playing catch up on old videos and have question. Why did the old job not want you recording? Bit strange to loose a person of your calibre over recording for YouTube. As for diag and not completing fix, why diagnosis at all. Nuts.
Found your channel a couple weeks ago and I have been watching your vid's catching up. I have been doing car and truck repair for about 50 years now and you did just what I would have done on this car. Keep up the good work and you will always stay busy. I like the way you try and find the problem before instead of just replacing parts.
When you can…. IE have the cash, you should open your own shop, you are good at what you do, very thorough, and trustworthy, a great combo for a shop owner.
Glad to see you working where you're at. I notice you obscure it…but not super well. Obviously your employers are cool with you doing this, and you've said you had some customers who didn't want their stuff video'd. Is there anything different about your process than a tech who's not a youtuber (in terms of customer signoff, etc?)
Have you ever talked about how your employers feel about your video "moonlighting" with the video camera ? As much as we all like it, I can see how an employer could have some heartburn about it. Did you discuss this with them beforehand? Just curious.
Well leaving the other job had to be easy. They didn't want you filming repairs. Just looking at subscribers and watched videos you are making more on YouTube than as a mechanic. Kudos to you!
I wanted to thank you for your note about the location for the thermostat on the Camaro my brother has a 2010 Chevy Camaro with a coolant leak and it's coming from the rear of the engine on the passenger side and for the longest time I haven't been able to figure out what the hell is leaking back there now that I know that's where the thermostat is I think it's pretty clear what the hell is going on again thank you
Love your content Ray! Hope you're happy at the new shop! You have such a great attitude, I wish I had the luxury of working around a guy like you. Keep up the good work!
I had a thermostat go bad on the pickup my dad gave me when I turned 16 and paid for it myself. If I remember correctly it was only like 200-300. Why the hell would you pay a tow fee, diagnostic fee, risk missing work or being stuck on the side of the road for just a couple hundred bucks? Unless certain cars are such a pain to be in the $1000+ range, you gotta think they're either gonna try to scam on a trade in, or get old Uncle Lester to do it for a 30 pack.
I've got a 2011 V6 & it's spotless under the hood. That being said, changing the thermostat on that car is a 🤬. The next time, I'll pay to have it done 🥴
Why does it seem like the TPS warning light is on with a lot of the cars that you work on? Is driving on under inflated tires a thing in your part of the country?
this dude had a friend that was like "they're charging you how much just to replace the thermostat???" "buy the part, I'll do it for a six pack" lmao

Well I guess if it overheats again, and blows up, they definitely won't like the camaro.
Why even bother buying a Camero if you're going to get the V6????

Casinos make you wanna shop around after… when it's "double or nothing"

I'm sorry to hear you left the other job but as always money talks

Can’t stand filthy engine compartments
Hey you forgot to tell me to have a great day !!! LOL.
Was the diagnosis ever confirmed after adding coolant?
Losers!
Did you guys get hit by the storm
How do you like that Topdon tool? What model is that?
Is it really a camero if it has a V6?

These wee little 6 cylinder Camaro's are just so Kee ute! My 2ss likes to see her little brothers getting tlc, even if it's not from the owner =/

Love the videos.i wish I was able to do the work with a learning dissability it's kinda hard sucks
So THIS is where you end up in the garage the newer videos show, noice
Can you tell us numbers about the repairs cost, or how much you saved to the customer by proper diag? If you could that would be an interesting info.
Why does it seem like the TPS warning light is on with a lot of the cars that you work on? Is driving on under inflated tires a thing in your part of the country?
Congratulations Ray!
On another note.. beautiful car and the owner treats it like a dump inside..wth. 🤦♀️
Big change in the 4ish months of your present location. You ways of presentation show alot of confidence now, and having fun.
Hope you don't waste booze like that.
You should get yourself a head mount for your camera so you can have both hands free.
