Ok guys you asked for it so you got it! Here is a short video from my brothers shop as he just finished the MILLION MILE service on this 2000 International 9900I with a Cummins ISX CM570 engine that produces 600HP. This rig rolled in with 934,000 miles on the clock and was in need of an "In-Frame Overhaul". Now that the pistons, sleeves, main bearings, rod bearings, one of the cams and a new cylinder head just to name a few things, it is time to adjust the valves, injectors and exhaust brakes. Let's see what this is all about!

The rack process has been basically the same for 35 yrs. Gotta love it
Fun fact: the term Rack comes from old Detroit engines that actually had a rack that controlled the injectors. Today you would call it overhead adjustment

Detroit you run the rack. ( looks like a rack of ribs is why the slang term exists). Everything else is "Do the overhead" as in over head cam. Anyhow nice video. I'd love to see an overhaul, or some EGR tuneup. Doser , turbo, DOC, Regen…love the video. Thanks.
Not understood yet that why injector camshaft always bigger than valve camshaft? And… and where is ifsm gear pump gets power to rotate from??????

I have a cm2350 2016 kw t680 with 758k on the clock and so far shes been strong but im looking into getting a new head from atl diesel with all new cam, gears, rockers and everything its much better than the oem head ive heard anyways this is my 6th time? I think watching this vid i learn something new every time!

As an early 1960's three ticket tradesman, general machinist, 3rd class stationary engineer, and heavy duty marine diesel mechanic (primarily military) myself, when you held up that connecting rod, my memory cells went from low idle to amber region on the tach in .0001 sec. Love your stuff Eric.
When I drove 26 ft box trucks I hated international branded trucks. Just didn't seem reliable. But the company I worked for never took care of there trucks
