  1. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Peter Out says:

Maybe the parts were ‘just replaced’, with crusty, worn out, used parts?

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars thomas savage says:

He's broke, and will replace those parts himself.

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars J W says:

    Junk yard parts

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Lowell Pofahl says:

I used to do deal with customers ,I would just ass soon beat the crap out of them

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars VDub says:

Would that missing lug cause the rotor to warp?

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Shaggy IRL says:

Does that mean you’re a soggy bottom boy

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daniel Wichartz says:

fortunately I live in a country that has a regulation for such things as road safety of the car that does not let such wrecks on the road

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Eric G says:

Actually rotors that aren't coated will begin to rust within a matter of weeks. I bought cheap rotors that weren't rust proofed and I was shocked to see them rusty just a couple weeks later. I live up north so maybe that's why

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Eric G says:

I hate it when I'm hauling and people jump out in front and I have to slam on the brakes do these ppl realize that a truck is not gonna stop on a dime like their little car will?

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Eric Bajalis says:

One thing you didn't check was the front slide pins. Most likely they froze up causing the rotors to wear unevenly, I've had this issue in the past too, it explains the customer saying the brakes would drag sometimes too since the caliper wouldn't return as easily.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Beekeeper Brad says:

That's crazy that you guys can sends cars back on the streets like that

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Brandon Boehm says:

    Chevrolet definitely made a Prism
Google it before making stupid ass videos

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Phillip Garrow says:

That car is a refuge from junkyard

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gregg McClelland says:

That car is incredibly cheap to work on. And the engine will go 300K miles without a problem. The door handles are $5 on Ebay. A whole set of 4 for $10. The corolla, prism had like 60 million units sold over its lifetime and still going. Great cars for the money.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars EagleAutoshop says:

Probably should have given the customer a Link to the video so could let the "Other Guy" who just worked on it have a clue……😎

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Luna says:

Do you have any advice on what to do with a 2001 Cadillac Deville, usually after a while is there will be days where he does and does not start and the heating doesn’t work and there might be something wrong with the steering The radio stopped working entirely my father has neglected this poor car for no reason

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kevin Ryan says:

The Prizm WAS made by Chevy after they were bought out. Not much of a mechanic if you didn't know that…

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Duramax Daily says:

I'm usually pretty good at determining different brands, but I had no idea the prism was a rebranded corolla

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Heverin says:

    Put on your seatbelt…

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Hardy Sr says:

The other shop show owners/managers all talk. When we have a difficult customer we pass that info along to each other.
I have gotten to the point I do walk around and document dents scratches etc.
We have had a few folks that have claed "shop damage" and we let each other know about that.

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Moose Mobile Auto Repair says:

What kind of a customer is this? Such a waste of time. Those are the kind of customers you DO NOT want in your shop wasting your time. Those brake rotors look like they have been in the trenches and the customer says he just replaced them?! Why come to the shop in the first place? What a joke! If I had those kind of people I would flat out not deal with them again end of story. Have a great day Ray.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Marc Shaner says:

Commonly referred to as swamp ass. Not fun.

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kenny Higgins says:

He just went to the junkyard and picked up a rotor, and other parts, and there ya go!!

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Aelle's Matisse says:

He probably did replace 1 side only. People do that thinking they're saving money but in the long run, they're not. I've always been told don't cheap out on your stopping power spend the extra and get it done right the first time. I've been told by my father and by auto mechanics to replace certain parts in pairs. I had a car where the front passenger-side brake caliper kept sticking, damaged the rotor and the brake pad was done. I gave in and said to heck with it and had the left and right caliper replaced along with the front rotors and brake pads. Cost me a bit more but I didn't have to worry about the driver-side caliper sticking and saved money. In the same car, I needed 2 tires and a 4-wheel alignment. I couldn't get them because the ball bearings were going bad in the front passenger and rear driver-side, the rear passenger side was already bad and the front driver side was okay. I ordered all 4 ball bearings because it was easier and cheaper to pay one shipping fee. Why replace 2 or 3 out of 4? To me, it's more expensive to order 1 at a time and pay 4 shipping fees.

.. Wow! Almost 3 million views. That's amazing. Congrats. 🙂

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Barry Humphries says:

He probably had those brake parts fitted about 7 years ago but, he thought it was only about 2 years ago!

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Barry Humphries says:

I'm shocked you can let it drive off like that! How would it get an inspection sticker? It would definitely fail the MOT in the UK. 😬👀

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Barry Humphries says:

Yuk! That car looks horrible… 😬👀

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hunter Parker says:

i really would like to see a rear drum brake job , on my 04’ Ford taurus i get a lil creak when i finish braking and come to a complete stop. i don’t know what it could be but i had a theory it may be from my drum brakes on the rear

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Mathew says:

hope you put lock tight on all them lug nuts and oil plug bolt dont want an accident to happen on your watch. yep some people all right😮 Ive had a dude mechanic do my warrent of fitness and politely said your clutch is worn ,I replied oh Ive just had it done i did it myself dude said Nope okay its not anything to do with w.o.f anyway. the dude was a,seasoned mechanic and must have had so many stories that he thought i was going to have a go at the man. turns out it was my clutch pedal assembly slowly cracking its sheet metal that made it so short. I had been adjusting it for weeks wondering w.t.f and found out whats up when it finally failed. It definitely was not an issue of w.o.f but yeah this dude been in that business for at least 25 years thought i was going to have a spak.
    lol

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Taylor Sutherland says:

Man, that thing is cherry. That is what a 2 year old car looks like up here in the rust belt…

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars neil ward says:

You just have to look at the interior and exterior of the vehicle to know what sort of customer they are. Idiots driving around in a pile of junk

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars GeekMoto13 says:

you could always anonymously report the car to police as being a dangerous vehicle on the road, they may do something with it or they may not, but if it were me I would flag that customers file and warn the staff to not accept the vehicle unless some things were fixed immediately

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Brian Andrews says:

Nothing worse than a car that is not worth the price of the replacement parts it desperately needs and an owner that is looking to upgrade his ride at his mechanic’s expense!

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Phil w says:

Priorities are all wrong wasting money on a oil change when you running around with 3 wheel nuts and striped out studs just crazy my understanding in the UK the repair shop would not be able to let car out on the road

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MOSPEADA 11 says:

This is a great idea and takes away the likelihood of sham services. It's a shame such issues have come to this, but perhaps it should be an industry standard.

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The FearGrizzly says:

I love how people with no experience in the subject try and tell a professional they are wrong… seriously how dumb

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars x4TFxDoomfist says:

The customer has no functional knowledge about car maintenance.

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ashley Peel says:

Wants scrapping it's a death trap

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Shock Hazzard says:

If this is “heavily rusted” for y’all, you might have a stroke up in New England. After 5 minutes on the car, everything is flaking with rust.

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gregory Fairchild says:

    You said it partially right.
If you feel it in the steering wheel and pedal it's fronts, pedal only rears.

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gregory Fairchild says:

People please clean out your car before having it serviced.
    Especially trash.
I can't tell you how many times I had to unload cars, trunks etc to reach a fuse or wire etc.

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Linda Diana Kohler says:

Did I hear you mention that you're in Florida? Where? I'm in St Cloud and need some honest work done. I used to be my husband's assistant (he was an honest and great mechanic).

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mikej1592 says:

that car is a rolling deathtrap and the owner is a male karen. "I just replaced those breaks not too long ago!" yeah right, 1980 wasn't all that long ago m8… if he's being a dick, I'd say you can't drive this vehicle out of here, it's too dangerous and require he call a tow truck to haul it off your shop floor. It is what midass breaks did to me after they cut the springs on my 4 wheel drum breaks on my 69 plymouth. Oh, they also stole my chrome master cylinder cap when they replaced that for me as well. I had them replace the breaks because conveniently enough, that price was just slightly lower than having it towed. Incidentally, the shop I went to got caught ripping people off and was part of a huge class action suit and shitty garage sting operation. I was too young and stupid to get in on that sweet sweet payout (likely would have got a check for $5)

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Barrison _ says:

Ha! Small world. As soon as I saw your second shop behind the strip mall I thought damn I've taken that detour several time to get back over from 53rd to 34th.

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars K1LLERsm0ke says:

He probably just had the oil changed a month ago too.. he was just trying to give you some work.. lol freaking people! 🤦🏻🙅🏻
No matter what you found wrong with this car he’d say it was something else either way
