In this video I have a look at a 1999 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins that came in with a short list of things that stopped working. They include but are not limited to the radio, intermittent wipers, the power seat, dash lights, marker lights, and dome lights. Customer told me it had been a long time sense they last worked. -Enjoy!

Mitchell in my opinion is the best version of detailed explanation wiring diagrams and teardown repair instructions..
I have a 2001 ram 3500 , no dash lights , no park lights an , it wonโt start โฆโฆ Iโve checked wire schematics, fuses, checked parts an nothin โฆ.. didnโt kno till after all this had a aftermarket radio. Put in an they tried hooking the dimmer wire to the light under the radio an everything went out โฆ. Any suggestions????
Thanks! This gives me some direction as to where to start tracking my power issues
I went to BBB's website on 2/19/2022 and this is what I saw. (BBB no longer offers TSBs and wiring diagrams. We apologize for the inconvenience).
Logic is key.
Nastf…… that's factory antitheft/ key programming right?
Great work buddy im gonna try it on my i have that same issue i will keep u updated
I just checked BBB and like my girlfriend they no longer give it away for free.
I'm sorry , When Eric said the dashboard lights are on I couldn't see past the dirt .
I feel like people remove the fuses on purpose to know what the problem is but they take it to mechanics to see if theyโll get ripped off for something that wasnโt the cause of the problem thatโs just me though
My first thought was that this truck was a peice of shit but than when you showed us the rest of the truck, my thoughts were, why bother fixing that peice of shit. I would have driven that to a junk yard.
Someone's testing your honesty๐ง
You passed the test Mr.O. This sure feels like a set up to check your integrity.
Watching this, i got a bit con-fused.
I guess the owner was โconโfused…..
Good information Eric
Curious to where fuse went
If he has overloaded the fuse because of the additional items, measure the amperage and add 10%.
Sounds like a blown fuse, at least.
Did you try to sell him on a wash job?
Do you ever take the time to submit the errors that you find on the mitchell diagrams to mitchell?? Apperently they update the system frequently and correct errors that customers point out.
I like doing electric diag. You can make a lot friends or a gf by fixing the " from the day I bought it".
It's not like it just jumped out by itself … someone knows when it was removed
Unfortunately, bbb industries seems to have removed their diagrams. The site is down, or no active links…… I'm at my witts end here. I've been working on this 2007 Chrysler sebring for over a month. Fixed the 62te solenoid pack issue, now I've got a u0024 and u0019 on my can bus b circuit. Seems to be a broken wire between the airbag module and both door modules. I had both doors torn apart and half the dash, tested the wiring from each door module to the connectors just past the hinge, both side test fine, looks like I'm going to have to tear the entire dash apart to get to that airbag module under the radio…. I've really reached my limit of patience on this thing. I've spent 100s and 100s and 100s of hours doing research online, only half of which you can rely on,and herein lies my dilemma. I'm just trying to help my mother out, but I'm at a loss of knowledge here now…. I wish I was one of those assholes who just calls your shop Eric, but I'm not one of those guys. I'm literally about to tow it down to your shop 5 hours from me…. I just want to learn how the hell to fix it… Sorry for the long winded reply.
Sherman from Malone NY, frustrated….
10 seconds into the video, Iโm thinking this one is a case of the green crusties on wires or relays. Letโs see if Iโm right.
This proves always check the basics first before getting too involved in fault finding. I always check the simple things first in my job as an electrician
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Don't you just love it when somebody else Mickey mouse the car TRUCK up how fun
If I could do it … spend a couple hundred a month for schematics… you can do it …
Second time watching
Well there's your problem lady!
I know what not to buy know. I thought my bmw is a pain its simple compared to Chrysler junk
It's only $15 for a car wash.
So this guy is going to pay about $80+ for a missing fuse. Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!
It's pretty obvious after watching a couple dozen of your videos, that I can't do it, nearly as well as you.
After market bull shit again
Did you ever find out where the fuse wen?
The car worked , so the fuse was there. The car didn't work and the fuse is gone. Where'd the fuse go? Did I miss something?
I have the same '99– way better shape– whenever I have something fishy going on with the electrics, I always visually scan that fusebox under the hood first. Great vid– thanks.
Primary problem is that it's a Dodge. My horse stalls are cleaner then the inside of that truck.
Thanks for the DIY links!
Wire schematics? I have used Haynes or Chilton's manual to a very good results.
