I was absolutely 100 wrong about a whole bunch of stuff 1987 buick, regal, 3.8 liter v6 throttle body injected. I mistakenly call this a gutless 305. It's actually a gutless 3.8. So, anyway, over the weekend, this thing got itself a break, inspection and kind of a comprehensive overall evaluation uh, as you guys saw in the video yesterday, i walked in and just kind of did a walk around on this and made some commentary on the subject and Uh then the re started showing up about how i was making fun of people's cars or whatever, and you know i find that funny because, like i work in a place where we take old cars and then we fix them and we make them functioning old cars, You know, and that doesn't just apply to 1980s cars or 1970s cars or 2000s cars that applies to 2010 cars as well.
Regardless, that's what happened here. I i walked around the car. Looked at it and made some commentary evaluated and now we're going to fix this whole thing, sure she's, showing her age a little bit and there's some broken stuff like that light bulb right. There there's some body panels missing.
You know a couple things here and there not a not a huge deal and the thing still runs and drives and functions. You know it is what it is um. It actually would appear that uh everybody misjudged this book by its cover, because the guy that owns this car wants to do uh, like some mechanical restoration on it and the fella is prepared to spend about six thousand dollars on this car. That's that's three! Zero! Six thousand dollars, like i said yesterday in my primary feature, video people have a habit of saying things and they have no idea what they're talking about.
They have no context to base their opinion off of, and they just run around the internet. Just spewing vomit out of their mouth as if there's some kind of authority on any random particular subject that they may encounter like. I said yesterday do better digressing yet again as to why an individual wants to pay six thousand dollars to fix up a uh old buick is uh. That's not for me to say people have their reasons.
This could have been someone's dad's, car or grandpa's car. It could have been out in the barn for 15 years. Who knows, i don't know, and i don't speculate and i don't i mean i care, but it doesn't um, it doesn't really influence. You know what i do here.
That's because my job is to take this and make it into whatever my customer wanted and - and i can very easily do that - sometimes sometimes it's not so easy but uh. That's what i do. Oh look. It's a dangly antenna, i'm making fun of it, see how fun that is there.
Look at that, after making fun of it. I made it right showing you.
$6K to keep that thing going is a lot cheaper than double sticker price at a dealership, even a used one.
Tell em Ray. It's not like you drive the very latest or greatest ! π
