This is f150 is a sister truck to one that came in with a blown up engine. The same issue killed the last one. This time I think the driver saved it.

I remember being summoned up to the vehicle manager at a company I worked for many years ago after a company car I used to drive decided to commit suicide and destroyed its engine. I had to sit in his office and was made to feel like the naughty schoolboy as I was being lambasted. 2 weeks later I found out that he didn't even have a basic car licence. I told my boss that I was going back to see him and to gave this out with him. I don't remember how many expletives were used by me but for some reason most of the security staff were hanging around outside his office
Love your videos, but can't help but think your talent would be better served as a teacher of the trade. Our younger generation has no idea how to do basic matinance on their vehicles. You are a great youtuber don't ever stop.
There should be warning labels on your nipple clamps… LOL…
You survived an attack by an alligator ……………….. clamp.
Ray, you really do great job showing that not everyone can work on cars. With that said, I throughly enjoy you videos and look forward to your daily struggles. No offense, but it makes me feel better 😌. I always get the same comment from customers. "Just hook up your fancy scan tool and let it tell you how to fix my car"….you know, because I am stupid and shouldn't be left unsupervised….smh
I cold in California is automatically treated like COVID.
It was a FORD mosquito
If pouring things was an olympic sport you would be a gold medalist Ray.
Was that battery clamp an off-shoot alligator or snake when it attacked you? You do live in Florida…! I'll go with python off-shoot. Does anyone know for sure?
Ford has the hands-down most annoying key in the 'nishion sound, ever…
“Gravity”, “click” and “dangly bits” have worked their way into my vocabulary when working on stuff.
You are master of pouring sir 😂
That’s why it’s called a crocodile clip 😂👍
Hopefully you fixed it
To rays comment about the stuck tabs and using some sort of aerosol liquid to loosen them the best ive found is aerosol glass cleaner (sprayway) is my favorite and the nozzle and straw from a brake parts cleaner can is the best for most dirty electrical/fuel/def connectors gets the dirt/debris soaked and soft and then you can use air to blow it out. Best part is its mainly soap/water so unlike brake cleaner or other petroleum based aerosol’s it wont swell/damage seals/o-rings in most connectors. Works well for me does take patience but beats damaging/destroying a connector.
-8+yrs of field equipment mechanic experience been around the block once i’ll let you boys know when i make it the second time
blow up 2 Ford v10
Is not using a funnel some kind of mechanic's rite of passage?
If you F, 250 times. You get a Feerd
He thought the tab was depressed but it was just him.
Tell the truth…..how many had to make a trip to the bathroom after he drained that coolant……?
II had this exact problem on my 2014 f150 it was NOT THE HOSE there were O RINGS inside the hose and they were the problem this is a very poor design by Ford the sad news for me i was told these O rings have to be replaced about every 20000 miles
why didn't you drain the cooling system before pulling that hose off?
Say goodbye to universal heater hoses.
Oh brother drives without coolant, must drive without air in his flat too. Whiskey tango fox trot. Angry battery clamp yikes.
With my projects I always find myself saying "nice and shiny" now. Just like Ray!
Why not previously check dipstick oil, in case of head gasket leak.
I like how manufacturers and engineers think plastic is a good idea on heater line joints I dont mind plastic expansion tanks or rad tanks but every plastic joint or connection on heater hoses on my personal vehicle I'll replace if possible tho I own nothing newer than 06 so I have an easier time with it
Do you think when you two videos can you do the (do da da do) when the phone rings
Pouring things ?
🤣 what ,WHY 😅lmao ,been there many a times
I know i've been working on cars to long when i can smell the anti-freeze burning off the block from my chair here. The brain is a weird thing.
Hey it's running hot or making a loud noise what do we do put it on the floor. LMAO
Curious when the new thermo installed itself 🤔
cars used to be so much easier to work on, cars from the 60 and 70 had no hoses or electronics to get in the way.
the last car i had was an auxr8 falcon ( im in Australia} made in the late 90s changing the spark plugs was a real adventure.. and not a nice one
Why didn't you just drain the coolant prophylactively, so to speak?
It is bad when you have a clamp on a battery terminal and it doesn't like you so it comes off and bites you. Too bad you couldn't bite it back.
Call a Tow Truck. Much Cheaper in the Long Run…
hahaha Forest Gump reference 😂😂😂
Made me laugh! You are correct, the pocket screwdriver is the greatest tool you can carry. I can't leave my house without one!
I wonder how many mechanics would be ojt of a job if vehicle owners had all specified maintenance performed and did a inspection every week. Just giving a peek under the vehicle before driving off.
It's gizmo!
You need to add some kind of dye to that 'test coolant' so you don't accidentally mistake it for blinker fluid. As least with muffler bearings you can tell them apart from other types of bearings due to the stripe painted on them…
Gotta luv how what used to be a chunk of 3$ heater hose turned into a 165.00$ factory authorized part. Progress sucks??
You're not gonna burp the system.
I didn't really go as high as the hood Filling the bottle with liquids.
Pour something like that while outside on a calm day the wind picks up just then
Can someone buy Ray a selection of Funnels for filling Oil, Coolant and Hydraulic Fluid or get them back from the Guys who ' Borrowed ' them.
Would two ruined F150 become one X300? 😁
That negative clamps name is Charlie, right?
I see the r*pe wagon is outside the shop, like a predator. 😂
