Remember this fix the next time you have a day when everything you touch turns to poo. It will keep you sane.
Ford missing its KAPOW!
I didn't quite understand why that didn't blow the fuse?
Broken wire guru.
Have you ran into stuff like Dave’s auto in out west. Had oil come up the wire harness to the main ecu and short it out?
DAMN another lucky find bro
So “F”ing lucky you should now get some lotto tickets
Amazing.
Nice
You find more on accident than most so on purpose ❤
Ford has had issues for years with thier wiring harnesses around the frame shoehorns. Youd think they'd figure out a better way by now. Good find!
Birddog!!
Poking around at green harness, that's brave, how many other problems you gonna get into that way?
Nice work sir!
Sometimes it's just as important to be lucky as it is to be good.
Good eye…
i wish I wasn't red/green color blind, so i could actually see what you are talking about. That's why I HATE auto electric!!! (Ironically the "Red Green Show" was one of my favorites!) When I have to deal with wiring issues i always have my wife or one of my kids out in the garage helping me identify things. That is frustrating let me tell you.
Experience.
Great spot! 😀
Oh I see. The bracket. Nice work, young man.
Well, you and the client must be doing something right. Wonder what it was rubbing on?
Eric needs the Peepers to deal with the connector but spots the green crusties 4 feet away! LOL
Ford has a few electrical routing issues. Vans have the positive cable getting pinched between the frame and chasis on ambulances for several years. Two battery
Ford
Vans should have been recalled for trying to cut the positive battery cable in half.
Good fix good fine I wished you would’ve used your wire on meter sniffing brake wire finder
Another great save!!!
did you know the human eye can see more different shades of green than any other color.
Nice catch there Mr. O!!
👍
THANK YOU for NOT being like someone else we watch…. You do things PROFESSIONALLY, not like a Florida mekanik
(I watched 8 minute of that junk, today…. and HAD to immediately come see a REAL mechanic, to get clear my head and set myself straight!)
That is what a master mechanic does
Great job
As a recently retired 40 yr Master Tech I'll say good eye. I've been under those fuseboxes and I wouldn't go there either….only if it was last resort…..
I learned a ton from your diagnostic skills. I would love to know what scan tools you use, i have 4 scan tools and they don’t tell me what yours do. Thanks again for your channel
2012 F250 .. has the big 5.4. Nope, has the big 6.2! I have one in my F150!
Always accept luck!
Who’s McCoy?
Brilliant trace down. Why aren't more mechanics capable of this grey matter?
Enhance, Enhance
Absolutely awesome videos! Wish I had access to wiring diagrams like you.
Power of a through visual inspection. Great job as always!!🎉🎉
Eric, once again! And it was fun to watch. Thanks for Sharing!
Great Find on that broken wire. Sharp eye 👁️
2012 would be a 6.2, not a 5.4.
great work ,i wish you were within a few miles of me my Cobalt is dead in the water and i am pulling my hair out,at least what i have left.
Long time viewer love your show. I got an issue with the 2012 Kia Sorrento four-cylinder intermittent problem. It loses power like it doesn’t wanna go when you step on the gas it doesn’t feel mechanical something electrical what do you think it could be thanks.
Eric is the best
Another fantastic fix Eric….
I don't about everyone else, but man I love watching his videos! Eric you are amazing with the work you do. I feel like you act very professionally when you're doing your work but at the same time you love to just joke around and make sure we get a good laugh as well. I have watched a hand full of other channels in the similar concept and I don't know what it is, but I just came enjoy them as much as I enjoy SMA. I also live in NY but down near Newburgh, Poughkeepsie, Middletown, Port Jervis and so forth lmfao. I really enjoy watching them even though I am a Mechanic also, but it gives so much more insight than you can probably even learn from going to school for Automotive's. Thank You Eric for your time and videos 😁
Nice find.
That is a dazzling display of an educated guess.
MARK 1 eyeball to the rescue. LOL
Shrank?
you…… the MAN !!!!!!!
With that NOSE he can smell the verdigris (copper corrosion) from three counties away! Score one for the nose of knowledge! Fast and accurate fix= another happy customer.
Can I take you to Vegas? You are a lucky guy with hawk eyes
The money shot haha
Good eyes
You are "The Wire Whisperer"!
Nice work!
🤘👌
wow. Eagle eye…. You are one with the crusties!!!! You should be buying a lottery ticket tomorrow. Not today, you just used up your daily supply of luck!
Nice find!
Impressive! I always appreciate a mechanic who understands the importance of Divine intervention.
Heatshrunk if youre being funny. Otherwise it is Repaired with heatshrink.
LoL
Anyway great job. U must be having a nose for the wiring
Come out where ever you are!
Lucky day there brother!
your the best
For a Guy that can`t see , that is a little or a lot of divine intervention . Always though that , Like we have a broken wire some where in this 10 feet , wait whats this looks like some green puss over there. Saw you or him do it more than a dozen times .
100 plus years of the worst made vehicles and people still lack the common sense and keep buying them.
Would a black light help in finding the green? Just an interesting thought.
Green Pus Patrol to the rescue 🧟♂️
Eagle Eye Eric strikes again, well done.
So it's the kapow wire then
Just brilliant!
Great job, as usual.
That's what separates good technicians from the not so good techs. Nice catch, Eric!
The Wire Gods are with you!
Stands to reason that, as wiring harnesses have gone from 5 or 6 wires and 35-40 feet, to bundles of dozens of wires and several hundred feet, that more and more problems will be wiring related. And I can only imagine that a lot of "unsolvable" problems are because too many "trained" mechanics can't fix things with their magic scan tool and don't care to do the necessary diagnostic work. Keep up the good work, Eric. You should always have more work than you can handle.
I really don't think your lucky Mr. O. It's seem your eyes are so trained to found the green puss on harness it's like a radar or something. Incredible how fast you found this one !!! Pretty impressive. When you look at someone doing any kind of hand work and it seem very very easy, that's when you know it's professional of his kind. Good week.
It's better to be lucky than good. Luckily, you've got both in spades!
you are the man Eric nice job finding the wire
good catch mister
TORNADO!!!!!!!
WOW, you are the man, this is why I like watching you do your thing. One more lesson learned, Thank you, Eric O, … McCoy, just know how lucky you are to have a dad who is an automotive engineer wizard.
might not be able to smell rat pee any more, but you sure can smell green crusties.
young man has the best teacher 🙂
Another great video. You are definitely the master. 👍👍
No joke, but the nose knows!
….Turned out to not a big deal..but lucky for you that you saw that abnormality on the harness. Cool diag and repair… Kudos
What? No mice?
Your sniffer may be off for rat piss but dead on for the green crusties
Green crusties…they're everywhere
Green crusties you better beware
Green crusties they don't care
Green crusties will give you a scare
If Eric can’t fix it no 1 can just wish we had a mechanic in our area that is as good as Eric is
You said it, "Be on the look out ", trouble shooting is a fact finding mission, look for evidence (without destroying it ) build your case, solve your problem ! It's really that simple. We just need to try with an open mind, You have experience and intuition that is a big part of your skill at problem solving, I hope people can see that you are trying to demonstrate in each video that they too can do it.
Great job once again !
You are the best at finding these "green" wires… I can say without doubt most shops and mechanics would not have found that nor would they want to too… most shops today want the quick fix or the easy fix. If its not a 30 minute job they are not interested… too bad because some of us like to keep our cars as long as possible… and have alot of pride doing so… I don't want to a new car every 3 or 4 years. I like my old car and until the frame rusts out I want to keep it on the road 🙂
Eric, You Dazzle me more and more everytime I see a new video. Sounds like you have a few apprentices in the video, Wow are they lucky to have a teacher like you!!!! Great Video
Hey Eric… Great job. You know you help us out so much….. Maybe I can return the favor a little. You need to make a little merch with whatever slogans or pics you want on them that are all green or a portion of that exact same green color, that your bad eyes and great nose search for and easily find…. Like a green ballcap that says…. Go for the Green. Or In search of green! But have some of that exact same green color on it so people can see exactly what green color they are looking for in wiring issues. Maybe green lettering! Ok there ya go. Hope I helped! Later! J Poll.
Owner is a lucky dude.
Good find
Thak you so much for taking the time to TEACH us this much needed information.
