Neil deGrasse Tyson says we can't be in a simulation. The only way we can be in one if we create one, which creates one. He says it isn't possible. But I dunno.🤔🙄😳

Good Catch. I would have caught that. Anytime you install a part and it's already at the end of it's adjustment…… Anyway i have been watching all your video's and hitting the like button. I'm hoping it will give me motivation to work on my many broken things. When I was 40 I was a machine. Now I'm 60… I love work (watching other people do it) I am waiting for the 2nd video for the car with the motor mount that is still loose….. and one other one you waiting for more parts.. Anyway was It me when you backed that car out….. the check engine light was on? just curious not sure. That phone ringer though the speakers makes my head explode. Good luck Take care. Hope you can retire early

Those part places sell crappy knockoff belts…I had one drive me crazy…it would squawk on and off…Gates belt…I think…some people say use Gator belt… No pun intended

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Bartz says:

Not going to address the check engine light?

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars numberyellow says:

5th time's a charm because the other 4 were only interested in selling shit, whereas you were only interested in fixing the problem.

Which is the difference between a proper mechanic, and a salesman with a wrench.

We might be Living in a Simulation Form of Life but in Reality about 20 years ago I Talked with an Angel in Human Form on a Walmart Parking Lot and Watched him Disappear right in front of my eyes. It was a Test that the Holy Spirit told me and I Failed the Test. Be careful who you Refuse to Help as it could be a Angel–it could Cost You a Blessing!!!

Ray i wish i was in Florida i would trust you with my 65 Chevy pick up with over 2.85 mill miles all original stuff on it still and i drive that thing everyday to and from work

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars TheOnespeedbiker says:

I had the opposite issue with a Rigid Drill press. To adjust the speed there are 2 v belts that you move to different positions on two sets of pulleys. To do so you first need to loosen the belts which after much consternation I realized could not be done because the OEM pulleys had been pried onto the pulleys at zero adjustment. I ordered the next size larger pulleys (it turned out one was enough) and the tensioner actually has some play to allow you to move the belts without having to forcibly roll the belt off the pullies.

Guess you want all of us to call the office…you go wako bobo…luda luda loo. ..those other belts are for a dyson.

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Steve McRichards says:

That happens in the automotive world: you get a belt that is supposed to be right for the application and you just need someone with enough knowledge to say try the next size down v-belt and that worked out.
That and Hyundai's are weird; even the Hyundai parts guy gave you the wrong belt!

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Raul L Calzadilla says:

"Is real only what you smell, taste and touch?" Ray off-handedly states while at the same time he repairs a car. A little insight into his great capacity to think.

It never ceases to amaze my how people will always overlook the most simple things when problem solving. I lost count of the times I was called out to broken down cars , trucks and even tractors, only to discover that they were out of fuel. Cheers from Australia

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tim D says:

Previous "mechanics" probably just took the number off the wrong belt and replaced it.

I know what's wrong with it! It's a Hyundai…. It was broken before 100,000 miles. I've driven my Toyotas to 300,000 without ever fixing anything. Oil only

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Copes says:

On Hyundais, 9 times out of 10 a squealing power steering belt is in fact the alternator belt loose and the water pump doesn't have the grip to transfer the motion to the power steering pump. The load of the power steering especially on cold start up is too much for the alternator belt to drive.

As for this, of course it's unacceptable that a tech would let this go when the belt has obviously poor tension, but it's really weird that the OEM belt size simply does not fit. I've never encountered that on any modern vehicle.
I'm sure that after following all the correct steps, a flat rate tech would be pretty frustrated with the results, and not eager to figure out a modification when the clock is ticking.
Luckily for the customer you had the patience to figure out a modification that solved the problem.
Chalk this up to shitty build quality I guess.

hey ray have problem with the reduce eng power on 5.3 what would your shop charge for u to take a look at and i can tell you what i have done and ask you how fix or just let u do it

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars mark price says:

I was waiting to see a side by side comparison between the auto parts belt and the OEM belt. Good video as usual.

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John Baumgardt III says:

Nice job. I don’t think I would even call the last 4 guys shade tree mechanics by not figuring out that problem. Where did you get your ratcheting box-end “crows foot” set?
