Ray some people are so critical the half shaft axle seal when hit in with a hammer should be just as effective as the axle seal tool. If it leaks you will be replacing it. The brake Klean can throw was great. Have a good day Ray

Love your videos Ray. I had to laugh with the cotter pin. Nope to big try this one while I am looking at the one taped to the lower control arm in the video for the nut! LOL So easy for us to see but when you are involved with making the video and explaining things you are not looking for pin to be taped to a control arm I am sure! You using that diesel heater in the shop, please do not use Chlorinated Brake Clean. The fumes will get reburnt in the heater and it makes Chlorine gas.

Dog's name is Duralast.
So the correct orientation of the forward bushing is at the same angle of the rearward bushing. I would have screwed that up by not torqueing down the forward bushing until I had weight on that wheel and the control arm was near parallel with the ground.
Pulling the axle to get the ball joint is how it is on my VW Golf. Took me a few minutes to figure it out. Now that I saw your trick I'll do it that way from now on!

If you got a seal for a Toyota hub as one of the wrong ones, I may know what happened. A few weeks ago I got a hub assembly kit for a Toyota and it came with the output seal you need.
Must times it's not from rust it's because some one used the wrong size suckit and spon the cap on the nut.the resone I say that is all of mine were that way after I got new tires. Not all 24 nuts are going to rust.

That's the 6 speed 6F/6T transmission shared between GM and Ford. The driver side axle seal and bushing is very common to fail and leak. My mom's 2010 Fusion she had with the same transmission, did the same thing.

Hi Ray(feel free to remove this post, really, it's ok)I was told ( in fact bolocked good and proper, and I'm not a proff mechanic even) compress the suspension, then tighten the bushing bolts, so the bush rubber is in the 'rest' position when locked, they last longer. I also got a bollicking for not cleaning the splines, I got bollocked a lot,
Bolt first in that squre thing dont hammer new parts please from beginning first step there . By the way nice 1 min video paper intake we all do similar when tired from long day.
