What!!! No "clicks" from your imaginary torque wrench, Ray?! 😆

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Fred Walker says:

Ray: my shop has done hundreds of these Escape bearings . over the years ! There are no short cuts! You followed the road to victory, a bit labour involved, people don’t realize it! Press in bearings are cheap to buy, expensive to replace, hub bearings are more expensive but less labour ! Good video for Escape owners to see what is involved to make one front wheel stop sounding “like an airplane”

Videos where you don’t talk, I struggle through. Giving explanations and saying the sizes of fasteners really helps out! The longer a video is, the less boring it is when I can get a reasoning behind the actions of someone wrenching. The number of times I will close out a video when I don’t get details either visually or (preferably and/or) verbally of what’s going on, I can’t count.

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tracey Jones says:

This is at least the second time I have seen your slipring slingshot pliers fail to launch the slipring into the Bermuda Triangle. (Ordinarily I would say "into the "Twilight Zone" but given your location I customized it.) Stay safe!

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gerry Carmichael says:

I always smear a little assembly lube on the new bearing. Makes pressing it it easier.

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Steven Leach says:

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Anime Red says:

I miss the old days when they put zerks on everything, and you lubed the supension and bearings as needed. Seems like it all rigged for failure now due to drying out of grease Seal bearing are a joke. if you kept the bearing packed and put grease in the zerks right and properly, you only had to keep replacing rotten rubber bushings on the supension.
