In this video I have a look at a Hyundai Elantra that came in with a "idle problem." The engine light was on with several codes pertaining to the Idle Air Control Valve and also had a code for a large EVAP leak. Let's have a look see. -Enjoy!

love your way of getting results very informative thank you
Cycling the IAC with your scan tool when it was off the engine would've been a good check. Maybe the IAC was gunked up and just needed cleaning. Did the junkyard IAC get cleaned before installation?
How does a modern car not have a temp gauge

Every time I bring my car to my mechanic it runs perfectly LOL.
Do they not sell paint in your town looks like a lot of homes need a little attention
where is the idle air control valve…you showed it in your hand but not in the engine…needing to replace mine and dont know how
My 2012 Sonata is now idling around 500rpm after changing spark plugs opposed to the 700-750rpm before I changed them, I didn’t touch anything else, all wires and coils put back correctly. I don’t “feel” any misfires and I haven’t gotten any codes in the month since I did the plugs. Is there an idle relearn I need to do or did I fudge something up doing the plugs? Or is it actually just running better?
Your hat looks like mine! Lol
Love your fire procedure 😂
Don't ya hate crusty lips?
Car works fine one day and the next day keeps running at high idle
14 sonata getting cam and crank codes replaced them all and still getting same codes any advice??
Why do YouTubers call you all day long what kind of weird things do they want to talk about
Whoa, more codes than a two-week-old Mercedes Benz !!
Hi idol
Why would the evap cause a maf and fuel trim codes ??
CAHfee !?!?!?.. What kind of NYer are you? It's CAWfee!
I beg to differ with you on the car chase. No, all was not good. A lot of people suffered damage. Of course in your Communist state where vehicles are rapidly trashed you see no harm in cars getting run over because Communism skews your thinking so radically that destroying someone's property means nothing, like any Good Communist state believes, that it belongs to the state and YOU HAVE NOTHING. That my friend is how Communism works.
Great job and video like always
I believe this mechanic does lot of hillbilly rigging on vehicles then what he shows on youTube. Also just throws parts at it to try and fix it.
Crazy all the wheel bearings. Here in California it’s very rare for them to fail and I see 300k on cars.
Looks like a nice little town. Odd American houses don’t have any fences between them, makes them look very exposed and public.
And what’s with all the American flags everywhere?
Well done Erie. Sam
good move blowing the gashole.
Put some lipstick on the gas hole
I’m amazed you actually did the drive cycle, it takes so much time that I thought mechanics just sent the car back to the customer and told them to come back if the problem reoccurs.
Should check and see if the test lead company will donate a kit to Josh’s school.
You have the power Obi won.
Worst car ive ever owned

Light snow in the background…… my wet dream of a neighborhood to live in.
I had an '84 Camaro V8 4 Brl that would hold the throttle when I took my foot off the accelerator I had to put the clutch in, coast to a stop and turn the engine off..Talk about scary. Back and forth to multiple dealers, multiple times, plus a new catalytic converter, with no satisfaction. I found out from a friend, after I sold the car to a used car dealership, that the problem was from a bad mass air censer. Friends daughter had the same problem and her dealer found the problem.
What a lemon. I won't mention the clutch pin breaking 5 times. Chevrolet could care less when I complained. I'll never own another Chevy.
