Doesn't Toyota require ATF for power steering? Looks like regular PS fluid in the bottle, but I can't see any details on the label.
And then the battery terminal will fall off and they will want to blame you for it! That's why I stopped dealing with customers a long time ago. You are a patient man Ray.

Crowsfoot wrenches are trash it would have been a lot easier if you would have just cut the line and put a socket on it from the jump
A 3/8 crows foot flare nut set may have helped. Great job!

the new lines had one end I would call a double-flared. Not a compression. most hydraulic lines have triple lock fittings or double flared. The flare fits inside a housing similar to brake lines and the nut compresses the flare into the male end.
You should look into getting some ratcheting line wrenches they would've been handy here
If I'm replacing the lines anyways I always just cut the line and use a 6 point socket if there is room

Ray a drop of penetrating oil would help break those fittings free. How come you don't have flair nut wrenches in your tool box?

TOY uses some pretty low end bolts and stuff, all that corrosion, materials are low end

One of the worst jobs I've ever done was change power steering lines out of 2006 Honda Pilot. Never again will say no every time no working room had to use a crows foot and my hands as the ratchet.
Imagine working at the stall next to Ray and hearing him narrate his work all day long,. Unclick, click, gravity, come to me, I know you can't see..😂
I Need Some Advice Please!
I (23yr F) have my first car for 2 years now, it just showed an engine light an I took it to AutoZone to run a diagnostic. popped P2181. since I have a 2020 Hyundai the guy said if have to get the part from my dealership to fix but I can't even get my car checked out at there since they're booked into Nov an I'm due to go on deployment probably before that. I don't know what the best action to take is and I never taken my car to a mechanic shop so I don't know which one will best serve me either. please help I'm so embarrassed

Design engineers have proven time and again they are the absolute laziest corporate drones to have existed. How much extra would it have cost to place fittings in an accessible location. And how cheap are the executives of almost every industry to insist on parts being made of cheaper materials and processes? Simply disgusting. Always pandering to a penny.

Hey Ray :), I'm curious do you have specialty wrenches for use on hydraulic lines, sometimes called flare nut wrenches? Its so easy to butcher a stubborn nut with a regular open end wrench.

i use a behind the sink wrench for a lot of hard to get at fittings both getting on and off and i use red dexron on toyos like your videos but northern ohio is such a rust hole i am jealous
Seems the hardest power steering pressure lines I have replaced have all been Toyo's! Also I think it takes ATF versus power steering fluid.
Was that black hose nicked by the blade?
Please use open box end wrenches. Never use an open end on line nuts. Sorry to rant, but I see you do that a lot. Rounded line nuts resort to vise grips if there is room.
I was wondering how you would break those lines free. Cutting them and using a socket was brilliant. Rather than a sawzall I wonder if a dremel with a cutting wheel would have been better.
