I just bout the same can of brake parts cleaner and I love it.
WHERE IS MY T-SHIRT? MY ORDER IS IN!!! BIG DAVE GOT MY OLD SHIRT DIRTY 🙂
Your Memaw is one smart lady! I'm going to use her tips on my next brake job.
So , car owner bought the cheapest set of brake pads that money can buy and pay a professional to install them lol 😂😂
Why would u let people bring their own parts ? When they fail, they’re going to blame u.
Just finished the SMA Miata YouTube marathon (clutch, suspension, now brakes). I've done everything but the clutch on my own '91, down to taking the whole dash out to replace the heater core. Suspension was a lot of work on the ground, but I'm in CO and it's not rusty. (How on earth do you deal with all of that all the time?) But that clutch? Oh, hell no. Glad I had that done. Congratulations on tackling that without picking up the little car and tossing it across the bay.
Your vids are always great. I've done video on some of my work, but getting lighting right and not ruining my camera equipment with filthy hands keeps me from ever achieving your level of quality. Plus, I end up swearing so much that I'd spend hours just editing the audio!
Fun seeing my car represented and providing challenges to someone else, too! I don't know how you keep that sense of humor, but it makes all of this very interesting as well as entertaining. (Must be – as I said, I just watched 5 or more hours on all the Miata stuff.)
Keep up the good work!
Oh man, I'm so happy I watched this video! My Fusions brakes are just like this one (with the spring clips) and I definitely need the vice grip trick! Thanks, Mr. O! They'll make my next brake job way easier!!n
" Braaa "… I just subscribed and chit… now…back to my armchair to critique away….
Well done CRC ..
Wait……you can't use a rubber twice? We're doing it all wrong in the south!!!
best free tip ever
What happened to the "napper, not a sponsor" brake cleaner?
Does anyone know what type of blasting media he uses for the caliper brackets in his videos? I don't think he has ever mentioned the type.
Another sweet video. Thanks Mr. O. I think I am beginning to know my way around Avoca…
Bring your own parts. Charge extra for that .
The ANTICIPATION!!!!
Break Cleaner !!!!
Wow!!!
The brake clean drama gets me everytime.
Here in UK most garages will not fit customer supplied parts as they are usually secondhand or poor quality – when the parts prform poorly they blame the poor guy that fitted them….
Hi Mr O please make a sound effect when you use the blueish grease on the breaks. Rob from Australia.
I've come up with a new method to remove bolts that are stuck in your socket. Take the socket off with the bolt and slam 'em on the ground semi horizontal. Try it. quickest way I think.
You hook up with a "hooker" …. really… after that "one hole is bigger than the other one"….
It would seem that not buying pads with the hardware is a false savings. You are spending too much time cleaning the old stuff that it’s probably cheaper to spend the extra few dollars on the premium set.
Is this the same MX-5 you did the clutch on last year?
Been doing my own brakes for years. After watching a couple of your brake videos, turns out I've been doing a half-assed job.
I got to ask, when you say your "Memaw taught you" is it just something you say or is it true?
Eric O I have to say you really love your attention to detail and that fact that your so miticulas about everything and that's why you are so good at what you do keep up the great work and P.S. I would watch you do a break job any day
What kind of brake clean sounds like rock ‘n’ roll
Is that the one you put the Clutch in?
This video score in the high 90's for innuendo… How long until that violates some idiotic standard on YT? SMA and chilll….
Usually you change brakes in pairs so it wares evenly
Only a case of brake clean? That won’t last long in the hands of Mr. O!
Eric you are more thorough with every brake job than 99% of mechanics, your customers are lucky to have you. I usually don't replace the hardware if the original hardware is still reusable. Even though they appear to be stainless steel, most hardware kits that are included with brake pad sets rust terribly within 2 yrs in salt states.
Electric windows on that thing ?
Love the brake sound effect
I watched this video 3 times … lets get on to the next NEW VIDEO !!!
"Gotta work the lube"……….That's what she said!! Lol
Love me an MX-5 👍🏽
Shame that the ricers have shot the price up by thousands.
Hi there really enjoy watching your videos and the work you do is excellent keep it up!!
LOVE YOUR BRAKE JOBS ! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I only like your challenging repair videos more….
We miss you SMA must be a busy week there at SMA was looking for my afternoon Zen session with a new video from you… went back to the archive though all good wishing you the best
Marry me.
What you're doing cleaning the caliper mount slide groves and the caliper mount bolt holes plus the lubrication to prevent rust as well as noise is the difference between changing the pads for 89.95 and a true brake job. If you charge extra for cleaning old parts the cost of cheap pads versus quality pads with hardware will be offset. A 1 job. That is the way PROFESSIONAL mechanics do brakes!
Most problems in life can be fixed by the proper amount of lubricant. "jarhead Andy"
Congrats on 300k and soon we will have been down all the streets in your town 🙂
Sound effects activated for FF👍!
Congrats on the 300k plus subs … Followed your channel for a while now First time commentor ever of YouTubes lol…
Thank You for being such a sharing out going individual … Love you channel and appreciate your knowledge and humor.. Was curious if you could answer this question for the Millionth and One time … What do you think of the
What are you using on cleaned hub before rotor
Is a bear catholic? – lmao at that. So, Mr. O., are those calipers and brackets painted red, or are they red from a sloppy paint job?
