In a previous video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrUe_Pv0m6Q I had a look at this Outlander and we found it had a blown fuse. The question at the end of the video was, what blew the fuse. Well a quick test of the 4wd may help lead us to the root cause. Let's find out. -Enjoy!

Another wierd yet useful info is that if the USB located on the armrest if its faulty it messes up the airbag fuze, somehow the airbag is connected to the radios usb.
My grandson just installed a backup camera in my 2017 outlander sport (not 4wd). Now I’m getting an error message showing the air bag needs servicing. He said that often it’s just a sensor but he couldn’t find anything with his code reader or by visually looking under the seats. Could there be something in the radio connections to which he connected the camera? He said ‘butt’ connectors were used when I had the radio installed and he wasn’t a fan of those.
Any suggestions? The camera work great. But the flashing warning is a little disconcerting.

Dang Erik, You Sir are a Mechanic JEDI!!!! Thanks for the Awesome Content.
"Oh, goody goody gum drops" about 19 minutes in. Sounds like a kid at Christmas.
Great 👍
Without a lifter way difficult too….thanks buddy….so much to learn from your works.
On some multimeters, you can hold down the backlight button when turning it on to disable the timeout. Not sure about yours, though.
I hate when the "wiring diagram" fails to show what we need to know. Then I like you have to guess and prove instead of just diagnosing strait up
"Goody goody gum drops" I'm still chuckling at that one
That's some troubleshooting! ring ring hit that bell!
Unreal diagnosis. You need to be an automotive collage instructor
Can you imagine driving down the road having your head out hanging on looking at a test light under your vehicle to see if the 4 wheel drive works. Camaras can really help. I have an FPV camara I got for flying RC planes, I find it works for many uses. Fpv is flying personal view. Using a set of goggles with a video you have a camara remotely operated while flying and you get a pilots view WHILE you control the plane. It works for HVac units too. You can run a tiny RC car with camara down the heating ducts to find problems. Its awesome!
There's your problem lady
Are we having fun yet
Enjoyed this video,many thanks Eric.
I sold my 07 s60 2.5t awd fully loaded because no start.
I replaced everything from fuel pump, cam sensor, crank sensor, fuel pump, fuel pump module.
Finally I bought the Volvo dice and vida and diagnostic software.
Found it was the CEM, which lay under the windshield half under the hood half interior.
I gave up and sold it to salvage yard.
Bless you for fixing these things.
Bleh, I'd fixed many cars before this era. I have permanent scars from pulling out that CEM.
Love the Blade Runner reference! Oh, the vids are good too. Ha!
Ah Finally! Found the the problem, I know the feeling! Don't go walking out in traffic. That was the LOL part! HAHA! Great Video!
Other shops wouldn't spend the time looking- great learning lesson!! You deserve an ice cream.
What OBD are you using to diagnoses ? I saw it may be Maxisys com, but i am not sure what model.
Thank you Eric. Good job. I appreciate your videos. Have a blessed and safe week.
I'm concerned about part 3.
There are hitherto undiscovered species of mountain lion that knew you were not happy with the end of Part I. Excellent work as always.
You are a true mechanic my man. Forget the part swappers, you truly diagnosed. Very fun to watch you figure it all out. Once again, if I ever hit the Powerball…… I'll buy a Chevy and go to you every other month!
Not sure you were the first one to pull the wiring out of the housing…
Im no mechanic Eric but i had a funny feeling when you poppped that wire out it was gona be just as it was . Not being a smart allic , just had a feeling . But as always great job an video .
All because of a hidden broken set of wires ding ding
Lol at sick underglow
Great video Eric , got some of the fuse buddies myself from Wurth , been in one of my boxes for some time , also bought trip fuses from Wurth too, saves replacing when looking for faults , perceiverance pays off at the end , well done , it makes you feel so good when we find the root cause , even though it might try our heads for a while 🤗🤗🤗🤗😎
NICE !
👍👍
Fantastic work Eric!
Well done Eric , the smallest things can be the hardest to find. A big thumbs up from us here in Ireland 👍
You should of filled up their spare tire under the car. It was off of the rim if you go back and look. I work in a auto shop as a lube tech and foreman at a local meineke in lasvegas and if I seen that I would of filled the tire up or made sure it held air because you will die here in Vegas if you break down and your spare is also flat from not being used the whole life of the car.. so just a small thing to think bout Eric. Not bagging on you just putting in my two cents
I have watched and enjoyed you videos for the past few years and you are great at what you do! However I’m from the south and don’t understand how or why you treat your fans the way you do. I would consider donating to your patreon and more probably would too if you had a slight bit of humility! It’s sad to say you should learn from those kids at Goonzquad. They love their fans and I assume the numbers show. Keep up the good work and I’m sorry your fans irritate you as much as they do. Any who quit being a yankee douche 😂!
Great job again like always
Nice work!
Another brilliant job done by a first class triple A technician!!! Your sense of logic and knowlege of how things work is what makes you so much better than everyone else that I know. The way that you attack a problem and stick to it, but your natural ability to logic things out is really fun to watch. You make the most complicated issues look easy to resolve. I have noticed that you sound a lot like the tool test guy, AvE who is also great fun to watch just in an adult version. He definitely isn't rated G. I think you watch to may of his vids cause your are picking up his lingo hahahahahahahha.
eric u said u couldnt test drive it cause it didnt have plates. do mechanics not have a version of dealer plates? in Ireland the police would turn a blind eye too a mechanic test driving a car they're fixing as long as they can prove they have garage insurance
Good show!
Thanks for making sure we were safe pop pop. Now we want to ride the roller coaster please please please. Are we there yet! Great video 🤴🏼 hail the king.
Anyone can be a part-swapping monkey. The REAL mechanic does diagnostics first. Well done sir !
U go boyyyyyy.
Nice work
Them damn mice get everywhere!
Hi Eric, I have a Diagnostic question. How do I go about diagnosing a 2001 Ford Taurus that the Engine starts to break up at around 3800, no codes I have the Launch Pro Mini.
