1st off thanks for that, im about to get my car serviced and that sent me anxity skyrocketing… but it also deminstrated that although i know the basics in theroy, the fact it took me till almost half way through to relise it was faked video really showed me how much i dont actuly know about my car or the jobs that are required to maintain it… so now im prob going to obsess over it and watch 400 videos on what to expect… thanks ray

Super thanks man, my moms 2022 Corolla is very happy now. I did everything as you instructed down to swagging the drain bolt. Did go in a little tight but that just goes to show she ain’t coming out on her own. One thing I did different is I TIG welded the oil filter to the engine so it doesn’t loosen up. Don’t want that brand new car breaking down n running dry
I don’t get what you’re doing outting sealant and the other shot in oil filter….? A swap of oil around the o ring and filter filled half is fine throw it on and good to go…?

was happily watching and learning as i have over many of Ray's uploads, then we had the gasget goo etc etc into the filter, and i thought, Ray has lost the plot a bit, maybe someone spiked his coffee then of course on came the bolt getting the chisel treatment, and i shout STOP RAY JUST STOP, waht on earth has happened too this dude.. I came here to "YouTube" my first oil change. You failed to mention leaving a second seal on the filter mount. Luckily I did see where you had done that.

And people thought I was CRAZY to add 1qt. of JB Weld to my Oil to stop the leaks, Laugh is on them, I haven't had ANY leaks going on 2yrs now, Of course the engine hasn't turned over for over 2 yrs. But no leaks.
