I donโt know how many times I was told I was torturing the equipment. I was told to get bigger hammer. But donโt let me tell you what tools to us.
With all the work of R&R and disassembly/reassembly, I don't understand why all the bearings and chain were not replaced. Also, there's a better solution to the pump tab wearing thru the case – modified pump housing with large flats instead of thin tabs.
Tosh is right 100%
I wouldnโt worry about parts made in china as long as itโs approved by the manufacturer. I own a BMW, โSiemens VDOโ is an OEM supplier for BMW. The exact same part from the same company without the genuine BMW stamp the quality just isnโt there. Itโs really bizarre!
More gm garbage
If you wanted to gamble, dorman makes tccm. Any aftermarket part store have them.
Why didn't you get the case saver part for the pump\case?! Good vid! My transfer case is bad on the out put to front…. May just get used like you said!
Look it up bro gm is Chinese really now, they sold out to Chinese companies after the bale out they just hide it
No worries im here with ya til the end..๐๐ค๐ค๐
Iโve done two or three of them before a couple dodge rams Chevys an one in a olds bravada all wheel drive automatic transfer case it was a job . A little different from the standard transfer case but same basic ideas.
Metric crescent wrench
Man… I needed this video. It was a lot of help for me to understand what I may have to do. The rear output shaft bushing that you replaced, I need to replace mine also, and just the bushing. Can I replace that bushing without taking the whole transfer case out. Or do you think that I could remove the old one and drive the new one in around the output shaft? Thanks!
Je tangage bon travailles
Awesome job thanks for doing it for all of us thanks amen ๐
Lol the whole GM truck probably made in China. We now know for sure since Covid19. Itโs down to the ECM, bulb, axlesโฆ.and there are NO new trucks coming out on dealers lot-2022 now. If anythingโs made in America, they have to pay Eric here quite a handsome salary and trucks will be in the same price as Ferrari and Lambo. Those cars ARE made in their own country thus why the cost.
click clacks thingy do dads did not order parts using plyers on the 38 mm nut . this is shade tree
205 were gear drive cases back in the day 203 were good also back in the day never heard of 202 but could be wrong
PUT IT ON YOUR PRESS TO GET IT IN TRUE . / NO /YES / A HAMMER CAN BE 50/50 TO GET IT IN TRUE AND WITH OUT DAMAGE
That bearing packaging moment struck me to the core
Please tell us all. What exactly is an all American made car or truck? I can't find one U.S. sold vehicle whick doesn't have foreign parts.
Holy crap Eric yesterday I made a mistake with my avalanche on dry tar four wheel low range I gave another my junk plow truck, vehicle a push and I heard a loud bang and the shutter from the front end ๐and I turned on this video to have YOU explain to me what the hell I couldโve broken….LOW AND BEHOLD โ๏ธโ๏ธ in the middle of your low/high range ANIMATION ๐คฏ
Iโm sure I know what broke now because 2 Wheel Dr. goes along just fine no troubles and I think four wheel high is going to go along just fine but four wheel low makes one hell of a thumping noise and it makes the whole front end jump I bet I broke THE HIGH LOW SPLINE inside that planetary gear๐ณ oh boy not looking forward to fixing this one!๐ขโค๏ธ๐บ๐ธโค๏ธ๐บ๐ธโค๏ธ๐บ๐ธโค๏ธ๐บ๐ธโค๏ธ๐บ๐ธโค๏ธ๐บ๐ธ
REMEMBER when OBAMA๐ฉ bailed out GM, Dodge …………..well I heard at the time that they took the money because they built 11 new plants in China not to make trucks……. but to manufacture the parts for all their trucks so you can thank the President of the United States and our Congress๐ฉfor selling America out!!๐ก๐ก๐ก๐ก๐ก๐ก
So I'm bored over Christmas. I have indeed watched this video again.
Since you mentioned the electric transfer cases…
My old truck 05 Chevy 1500
On start up would randomly put itself into a Random 4wd setting. Was a total pita because the system would rarely work when you wanted/needed it to.
I replaced the dash switch, had a garage do the actuators, and replaced the harness end to the front axle after finding and repairing a broken wire.
Never did get it working correctly
Any ideas?
Bye bye miss American pie, drove my Chevy to the parts store but the parts store was dry. Nobody was working any more they were drinking whiskey and wine they were singing this will be the day that I die.
Great job on the transfer case. Big but, where is your helper Hanna? She hasn't been around much and you could use the help.
The ever fuel efficient 6.0 lol, I know 2 folks that sold their trucks due to that – your sarcasm is the best!
why not use Chain Bar Oil to protect all of the inner stuff until it is installed on the truck. It will stick better until the oil pump starts turning.
CLR takes rust off pretty good. I pack seals with lithium grease to prevent that spring from escaping
"Don't give up good enough for perfect". Thanks for sharing this!
When you put your name, town & business name etc. People are gonna find you & call. Just say'n๐คทโโ๏ธ
My fuse was actually blown! i changed the switch 3 times and it would work for a while then kick into service 4wd before it finally stopped working and now i know why! Thank you!!!
So what ford and dodge parts also come from china and Mexico . Talk to New Prosses manufacturer who builds the transfer cases
Parts are probably by Dorman…….and we all know how you just LOVE Dorman ๐ ๐๐๐
Now I remember why I stop watching n following his dingbag all the whining this is what happens when ppl think their booboo donโt stink .bye forever ๐๐๐ฉ๐ฉ
I think youโre awesome, youโre hard not to watchโฆ
Please keep up the good videosโฆ
Hi
I use the red, Locktite gasket maker, apply a very thin, .003" on BOTH Surfaces. Take away the air and torque it correctly and it makes an impervious gasket forever.
Mode: In Music, a C major scale, starting and ending on the notes C, is a C Major scale in Aeolian Mode. Use only the white keys on the Piano now, start the same scale on the second scale degree, D and end on D, Dorian Mode; no, D is not for Dorian Mode, start in the third scale degree, you're in the Mixolydian Mode. I think… There are better sources than me. Modal music, in any key signature that focuses on a note other than the Tonic note or the first note of the key you are in, is Modal music.
Next time put a case saver in it and maybe you did I was in the middle of a 6l90 build when I was listening to the video also you can tighten the case halfโs and then pull the shaft up to the snap ring it wonโt bind up just so you know I watch your videos because your a lot like me on how you repair things you definitely know what your doing keep the videos coming and good job thanks for all you do !!
But it's not a hammer that is a percussion insertion and calibration tool. I have you said too many times to calibrate a huge number of persistent assemblies., ๐
Give it to beans! Is that some sort of saying and you're part of the country? Sarah
intune says that term all the time and she's from the rust belt somewhere it's a lot cuter when she says it ๐คจI'm curious I don't ever hear you say the term Geez I was wondering if that came from some mud hole up there in the American Siberian tundraYou can try using green scotch brite to prep for a seal โฆ
On the last snap ring, You could try lifting the main shaft by hand at the tail โฆ
Shift lever .. โrooster camโ?
I have a 261hd clunking randomly in 4×4 hi and low. Great video. Disappointed I can see the tear down through
Precision transmission used scotchbrite pads to remove rust and polish metal parts,,, ๐
Ling long parts ๐
Yea Timken used to be the bearings I used to try to get.
