I used to have an old Lincoln Mark VIII with bad brakes. I replaced Everything and still low brake pedal. Bought an Autel to bleed the ABS system. It helped but still always had a low brake pedal. Could never figure it out and ended up selling it. Kept bleeding the lines, bleeding the ABS system, over and over. Always had a low pedal. Wasnt on the floor but still low to my desires. Lucky to lose not much money on it.
this is the reason i would never wanna be a mechanic, not cause of the mechanical issues , but the fact i have to get into a disgusting pigs den of a car.

Why do American drivers seem to be such shin flints when it comes to keeping there car in a safe and driving condition . If that driver took his vehicle on theroad in that condition he should be prosecuted for dangerous driving. He could kill some innocent person let alone him self.

I don’t know why some customers don’t clean their interior before dropping their car off for maintenance? That’s like not cleaning your house before having guests over. People should take more pride and responsibility for the things they own.

Kind of lame for GM to charge a restocking fee to a professional shop. I could see wanting the shipping costs if it shipped, but one could argue that bad engineering led to the failed part in the first place.

More than likely, he thought he had the available credit, but it was declined. Maybe he lost his job. Maybe a lot of things, but I seriously doubt he would have declined the work if he had the means to pay for it. If he did have the funds but declined…he's an idiot. If he couldn't afford to pay for it, then we aren't in a position to judge him.
I'm done with GMC. Theres always a Chevy fanboy right behind me saying why? They're the best…uhuh. The truck engines are good, because they've been in development for 50 years. Name one other thing thats known in their vehicles for excellence. The 4L60? Fail. The electronics? Fail. The power steering? Maybe…wait, their hydroboost started leaking. Now I've lost my brakes AND my steering. GMC is good for one thing. Ripping the LS and ECM out and putting it in ANYTHING else.

Seem like the bottle and hose works better than suction plus you only need one person to bleed the system and no crazy loud air vacuum. Had to buy one to do the rear diff on my '13 taurus no drain plug, those silly engineers. Not to mention the PTU catastrophe.
You're so lucky in Florida. In New England, where we salt the crap out of the roads, the hard lines in all large GM trucks rust completely out in about 7 years. One line will pop and you replace it. Then another pops and so on and so on.

Man, the brake line on my '02 Chevy 1500 rusted through…..TWICE! After the second horrifying incident I had the shop replace the lines completely front to rear with Stainless, at a pretty substantial cost. I find it almost crimminal that they don't come this way from the Factory for Rust Belt vehicles. I just recently had to replace the fuel line after it also rusted through.

The coffee cup shows the assist feature is on, then if you drive irratically a message comes up the remind you to have a break, which you can cancel and ignore, or stop at the next service station. If you dont want this, then you can turn it off, and the coffee cup indicator will disappear…

All of those Cadillac SRXs become hooptie rides. My co-worked junked one with 250K miles. It was on its 3 differential, it has the timing chains replaced, 2 water pumps replaced, starter, alternator and 20K miles before he junked it, he had a battery drain and he removed all the fuses except the lights, horn and windows. Also he was adding 2 quarts of oil between oil changes. 1 week before he junked it, he had a new starter and ignition switch installed. There is no telling how much money he spent over the life of the car. He only junked it because his wife made him. Now he drives a Chevy Captiva with a timing chain that rattles on startup.
