Hello everybody! Good day to you and welcome back! Glad you guys are here! This is a 2012 Ram 1500. It's got the 57 Hemi Uh, we're not doing any repairs on this Doge Ram right here. Uh, we're actually going to add some aftermarket go fast goodies. We are installing a uh, a custom fitted gauge pod that goes right here on our a pillar.

Uh, similar to the setup that my truck has. Um, it's actually nearly identical to the setup my truck has because it is a Uh A Banks ID Dash system that is going to integrate into the vehicle's OBD2 system to provide supplementary gauges and it will also serve as a foundation to uh, add additional performance electronics and with the addition of the banks ID Dash uh gauge pod system that will serve as a fantastic foundation Uh, in order to install future performance components uh on this particular vehicle. So what we're going to do, we're going to go ahead swing this thing into the shop. We're going to get it all prepped up and set up.

I've already taken the uh, the custom pillar and uh, thrown some paint on it I uh I did whatever I could do to match it as close as possible. I I Think the color is going to be a little bit off, but I tried to match up the paint as best as I could. So let's go ahead and get started. So disclaimer: this is going to be a Lot of interior work on this particular truck.

We're not going to be under the hood I don't think uh, it's mostly all electronic and interior trim. so if that, uh, if that doesn't float your boat, maybe this video is not for you. I'm going to try to make this as, uh, as comprehensive as possible. Let's make sure I clear the door.

Yep. I'm going to try to make this as comprehensive as possible, but you guys are aware. I I Do not prefer uh to video at least interior work I mean I Really don't like interior work as it is, but it's very hard to record so I'm not sure if this video is going to be a yay or a nay, or just somewhere in the middle. Uh, let me know as we progress what you think in the comment section down below.

Uh, if you like what's going on here, please do not forget to consider tapping that subscribe button while you're down there. That way you will not miss out on any future opportunities to see similar types of content. and that will end my moment of Shameless self-promotion So at 17056 Mi let's go ahead and power this unit down and we're going to head over to my shelves of inventory and we're going to bust out the banks box and uh, get started on this install. So the world being what it is today, unfortunately.

I'm afraid I have to make this announcement. Uh, this is not a sponsored video I do understand that I I Do personally enjoy uh Banks Power Products I stuck one of their banners on the wall cuz I like decorations. Um, the customer bought this particular system for his Dodge all on his own and I'm not being paid to uh, create this video and I'm also not being paid to promote any of these products today. that is.
uh, that's my moment of transparency and I hope that suffices for all the re out there. for the people that are going to call me a shill for doing work on cars. I I don't know, it's one of them situations. It's like damned if you do and damned if you don't and sometimes I just feel kind of damned for doing the right thing or or just doing my thing.

I just I do what I do and I get some read out of that one. So anyway I don't that's not for this. this is mine. That's uh, that's the bank's tuner.

that's for my truck. see I told you I use this stuff on my own but that's not the right box I Don't think I have a pedal monster and no, yeah no no no no, none of this. I'm in the wrong box you guys I'm sorry I'm in completely the wrong box I need to be in this box I'm looking for a pedal monster and the ey dash for the Dodge Cannot believe I had the wrong box. Yeah, there's our pedal monster and and that is the Banks Eye Dash Okay That's what I was looking for.

So I Now need to find my freshly painted a pillar cover that's going to be the housing for the gauge. Let's go ahead and start unboxing all these goodies here. That's the bezel and I'm looking for some Hardware which I should see some plastic screws around here. Maybe they're in the other box I Don't know I'm talking to myself, not even talking to you guys.

Anyway, let's get all this stuff unpacked, make sure our inventory is correct, and then we can go ahead and proceed with the Uh, the tear down of the truck, and then the installation of the components. Okay, I found my plastic nuts. They were inside of the Uh, the hardware and instruction packet, so I'll be needing those later to secure the gauge itself to the cone. Now what we've got with the ID dash kit is the OBD2 connector that plugs into the connector under the dash of the vehicle and then and that's going to plug into the backs side of our gauge.

I Think it's the four pin right there. Then In addition to the gauge, my guy wanted to order one of the pedal. Monsters Uh, what this thing does is it exponentially increases the gain that the ECM sees from the throttle position sensor on the throttle pedal. So basically like let's say, you apply 5% throttle position on your pedal.

What this device will do is actually command you know 10 12% of actual throttle to the engine. So it makes your throttle very very Snappy and quick responding without extra input from the user Aro the driver uh it basically makes it uh, it makes it accelerate and it makes it respond at a much faster rate than what your foot can apply to the vehicle. So it's a it's kind of a performance thing. Uh I'm a big proponent of these pedal proponent of these pedal monsters.

It is a very very nice piece of hardware We and it does combine very well with the gauge. and the reason that I like to use the gauges with these pedal monsters is you can set these up where you can adjust the uh the gain on the pedal monster just by using the buttons on the gauge itself. If you don't have the gauge to go with it, what you've got to do is use like an app uh, on your phone or whatever and Bluetooth to this thing and that's how you can make the adjustments. but I like to make adjustments on the fly when I drive.
So I have integrated my pedal Monster in with one of the gauges and of course that is done with this auxiliary cable right here. So we take the six pin and then reconnect it over here to the other six pin. So now we have completed our introduction for the situation at hand. let's head back into the cabin here.

I'm going to start to disassemble the interior components. We'll pull the uh, a pillar cover out because we need to disassemble the Cover install this piece of the cover and then I'm going to have to throw some paint on it. All righty. So we're going to need to remove this aill pillar cover first now I need to do that very carefully cuz I don't want to gouge up the surface of it, but we need to pull these little covers off which somebody has tried to pull this one off right here.

It's already a little scored up but I need to get these covers popped out and that will expose looks like a torx fastener. I Can't even see it's dark in there. but I believe we're looking at a Torx bit. Nope, Nope, that's a 10 mil.

That's 10 mil. Okay, yep, so we need two 10 ms. let's pull this guy out and then see what uh, what lurks behind the pillar cover. All righty.

10 mm coming in and you know what, while we're disassembling, uh, we have slight change of plans that's just developed. I Had inquired about what we're going to do regarding the paint mismatch on this new piece versus the old piece and I'm just going to paint the old piece one solid cover, but we're also going to paint that side as well one solid cover so it's going to match the doors and the dash very well. But we won't have a a two-tone look so to speak, because I'm going to get all of it repainted. Let's pull that one out right there, drop you off in your hole, and we're going to end up repeating this procedure on, uh, both sides.

This is good. Okay, so that's our pillar cover for the driver side. Let's get the next one out off to the passenger side. we go.

Okie Do's clip numeral Trace coming out and that one there good. Let's pull these 10 ms out. Are they in there? Yeah. singular unclicks next there we go.

Okay, Okay, so we're going to pull both of these out and I'll set this thing off to the side and get this painted real quick. Like this one as well. We need to get them cleaned up and then resprayed and we should be good to go here. Yeah, those are kind of nasty and dirty.

See that all the fingy prints we can't paint that or that or that. All right. The foaming bubbles do the work. So I don't have to.
Yay it's baring. Give it a go all wipy down here. Remove the thingy prints, the evidence of fangi contact the dirt deposits, staining. That's a lot better.

Now we don't have dirt for the paint to not stick to. Got to let this dry up and blow it off with a gun so we don't uh fish either the paint and we'll get this thing sprayed while it's drying. We can install the electrical components starting with the pedal monster and then the wires. All righty.

we're prepped and kind of ready to rock and roll. Bust out the rattle can here. it's more duplic color similar to what I was using on my truck when I redid the interior. so we're going to get this sprayed real quick.

Like first, we want to purge the can. this uh duper color vinyl paint has a tendency to separate and you can be in Midstream and all of a sudden it'll change. So I like to purge the can first and then you can start the spray. It's kind of cold today too, so this is probably prone to wanting to run.

I'll end up doing a couple coats I Think think give that a flip. you guys really are watching paint dry. That's fantastic. Gotcha there we go.

Little bit on that little cap there. Okay, that one's pretty good. I'll come back to it later and hit it one more time with another coat. Set that off to the side.

then we can get uh, this other one. See that I find that clever, nice and shiny I like it so extra shiny. Let's get the other side. I'm not going to move the piece because those are kind of uh well I don't want them to fall down and then ruin the finish.

So we're just going to leave that right where it is. There we go. that's looking so super duper nice. All righty.

So let's let this stuff dry up. In the meantime, we're going to go back to the truck into the cabin and we're going to connect I think the Pedal Monster down to the accelerator pedal position sensor which is on the accelerator pedal down at the driver's foot. Well, okay, back to the cabin. the unboxing continues.

So this is the Pedal Monster Module. This device will connect to the come Here You Brake pedal position sensor with I think that connector and then uh, on the other side at the wiring harness. It'll plug in on this side. So this thing basically just Taps into the circuit.

uh in line with it and it will, uh, that's where it performs its modification to the signals. So we need to get this guy connected down here in the foot. Well, first to the A. All right going in.

Let's get some Lumen set up in here and this part is fairly easy. Actually, the whole the whole system and setup is actually fairly easy. What we need to do is get a hold of this connector and I can't let's get that connector disconnected here. Bear with me here.

There we go. un clicks for that guy. So that's our connector where we tap the other two connectors in. So we just need to plug the unit in and then we'll find somewhere under here to zip tie the actual module and keep it out of the way.
Then we can run the other wire up to the uh Banks Ey Dash Okay modules coming in. We'll set that just over off to the side and let's get this thing connected here. We've got the uh female connector snap that in and then the mail side is going to plug in right here. see if that's going to line up properly here.

It's kind of a a tightish sort of squeeze here. Let's see if I can't uh, can't get this thing set up. It's a cramped space I'll tell you that I'm on my knees There we go. snap that guy in so that's in good shape now.

I Just need to take the actual unit and find a way to secure this to something. What can we secure it to? Let's see, let's see. how about maybe I can zip tie it to? Uh, I'm thinking this piece of structure right here. See that right there you? We'll probably just zip tight right there and then tuck the wires away.

Or maybe over here somewhere. might be a better place over here somewhere. Yeah, I believe I Have it figured out. So what I've done is taking the wiring, run it over top of the steering column.

Now this piece of the column right here in front of us. that metal tube that does not turn when we rotate the wheels so it's no risk of rubbing Through the Wire as the wire touches it. So what I've done is taken. That pedal monster unit, run it over top of that column and it's now hanging out right in front of us right here.

and I'm just going to probably zip tie it right here to this harness section and that will secure the unit. So I think that's probably good. That's the best place to put it. It's out of the way.

It won't get caught up in the pedals and it will not trip up the driver. So after I drop this. See! This is why I Don't like to do interior work guys. It's really hard to to like film this.

It's hard to do it. Do it well. I mean interior works not the greatest as it is, but then you you try to film it at the same time and it presents a whole another level of of difficulties and things like that. For example, I was recording and commenting and you weren't even looking at what I was doing cuz I wasn't even looking at what I was doing.

Anyway, that guy's tight. it's in position. so let's get the cables and start to get these things connected and hooked up. All righty.

So I have here the OBD2 connector. This is the unit that will tap into the vehicle's uh communication Network and it's going to supply information to the ID Dash Banks gauge and it's also going to have the pedal Monster Cable running parallel to it. So what I need to do is take these two cables and run them from the floor up behind the dash and they're going to exit at the a pillar area. uh, where they come into like I said the uh, the actual gauge and where they connect or where the gaug bolts onto the bezel.
So what we do is we're going to connect this, hook this up, and then run the cables down, plug it in, and then the other side of this extension cable we have here is going to plug into the Pedal Monster and that's going to integrate all of the components in this build and that will be integrating both of the components together for So let's start with mounting our gauge in the Pod. We're just going to slip it Down in the Hole here and this pod is specifically made for this truck and it also came from Thanks Power Squeeze that guy in it's sort of in its home. We're going to give it a push close and another push. I'm getting getting fingerprints on my uh on my paint job.

It's fine though. I can wash it off anyway. I Do believe that that is the correct vertical orientation. so when we have this thing kind of set up, the gauge should be pointed vertically.

So I believe That's right. let's go ahead and push it down the rest of the way, send it home, and then we can bolt it in. It's a really tight squeeze in. These pods actually may not have to run bolts in it, but I'm going to so we can see it's flush.

We'll flip it around, slip that thing thing down and over like so and then the two nuts will thread down on the studs and that's going to secure this gauge to the Pod plastic nuts. How about that? Let thread this guy down again. This is kind of redundant because the fitment on this was so well engineered that I don't even think it needs this retainer. but we're not going to use that as an excuse to leave it out, are we? cuz that would be poor craftsmanship? There we go.

Okay, so now I'll take both of the connectors and we're going to go ahead and get everybody plugged in here. So we've got a six-way extension that goes down to the Pedal Monster, so we'll plug that one in first if I can get it lined up. it's a it's a very tight squeeze inside of here. Okay, that one's in, then the next connector that is the four-way and that's the one that goes down to the OBD2 port that has the uh, the plug.

So we'll get this guy plugged in. Click There we go. So now our pod is wired up so at this point we should probably test it out. So let's take our connector and get it plugged into the OBD2 port as I fill it full of dirt.

Plug that in and we should see this gauge power up when we hit the key. Get back up there now. keep in mind that pedal monster is still disconnected. We're just kind of going to run a test here to make sure this thing fires up.

So ignition, Key Ignition on starting the engine. Super Gauge Powering on! Beautiful gauge setup. Please enter Engine Displacement! So we have to go through the setup. Well, we're looking at 5.7 L It needs to know our engine size because it can make calculations that are outside of the Ecm's parameters.

So we're looking for 0, 0, 5, 7 L that's five. And then 5.7 There we go cuz it's a tree fitt. we're close to it. Okay, we have engine RPM vehicle speed, coolant, temp, engine load, battery voltage.
These are all the defaults and of course you can go through your menus and change which gauges you would like to have displayed here uh, as well as well as multiple pages of gauges. So let's say I set up a gauge set set up here and I want another one? I can open another page and create an entirely different gauge setup that I can just scroll through those setups to see what my different Uh data parameters are which I think that's pretty cool also. All right. So what I'm going to do is take the uh the cable ends and we're going to run them from the bottom of the dash.

uh, up through. I'm going to follow the light. see that little bit of light right there? We can, uh, run these Cable in towards that light and they should be popping out like right about here somewhere. I think so here.

you guys watch that and grab those cables when they come out. Lauren Are you nearby? Yeah. Oh, come here Peabe come here. I Need I need your assistance? Um, that hole in the dash right there.

Like right here. there's a cable coming up. Can you grab up there? Can you grab that table? Got got it? Pull it. give it a tug.

That's good. Stay right there. There's there's one more coming. Uno M Uno m I Can't see.

it's not yet. Not yet. Here it comes. Maybe uh-uh uh.

stick your finger in there. Can You feel it? I don't what? I Don't feel anything? Seriously? Oh no. Oh I Feel it. Got it.

Pull that out there you go. Perfect. That's good. Excellent, Thank you dear.

Appreciate the assistance. All right. So going back down below and yes, I do have to tie these wires up and make them more organized, but we need to plug in our six Way to the Pedal Monster which is conveniently located right in front of us. Now you can see here there's two.

There's two six-way connectors here and I Do not believe it matters, right? I Believe it does not matter which one of those connectors we're we're going to use because the uh, the BBS Network in the bank system ties all that together anyway. So as long as it's connected, the the system will know what to do. So we plug that guy in right there. See, That leaves us another port for like a tuner or uh, or like an exhaust brake or any other.

Any of the other Obdd OBD2 components show. Let's plug our module back in. Now we have power supply the Pedal Monster and the ID Dash So let's fire this thing back up and calibrate it and see if it's going to function properly or not. Beginning engine restocking sequence now and our gauge is alive.

This is good. Okay, so what we're going to do is go down to Banks modules. Enter that menu and we can see it's got the Pedal Monster already pulled up. If you don't see the unit pulled up, you can go to Rescan for Bbus modules and it'll rescan the the network and again it'll pull up your uh, your component here.
So we're going to enter Pedal Monster and we need to calibrate that unit. So we click calibrate, We click yes, and it wants to depress the gas pedal completely so I will power it down. Unit's still turned on, key is back on, and we're going full throttle with the accelerator pedal and I watch the the values We are: 100% Release gas pedal completely, Gas pedal is released completely 0% We hit okay Press gas pedal completely 99% That's good enough for me Hit okay, release, Successful download the app. Okay so now what we'll do is we're going to go into I think it's gauge layout.

We going to set up the pedal Monster gauge. That's not the way I wanted to do that. Let's see here. Well this does illustrate how it works.

So we were just on stock. we're turning up the power level and Watch What Happens We're going to turn this all the way up. We have sport mode and track mode. Do not drive on track mode but I'm going to give it a little bit of throttle pedal.

watch this. so this is how much pedal I'm giving it. but this is how much pedal the Pedal Monster is supplying to the ECM See how aggressive that can get? Now granted I don't use track mode cuz even on like track one or two even sport mode you can see how how incredibly aggressive that can be. But when you have her turned down I like to run like City 7 or City 8 we have a fairly decent throttle gain.

see that see how exponential eventually it increases and we can turn it way down to like city1 or stock mode. There's stock, just there's your pedal. There's City one and of course it climbs. You see the difference in the amount of gain that you get out of it depending on your higher level and this is why I Recommend using the Pedal Monster with the banks gauge because you can adjust these values on the Fly this right here.

That's insane. That's that's not even fun to drive. That's way too much insane. So so we're going to back out of this and I need to set this pedal monster or set the eye Dash up to accommodate the gauge.

Uh, gauge selections a little bit better we're going into. we want to do gauge layout. This is where we want to set it up. So right now we're on the six gauge page so we're displaying six gauges.

Overall, we want to go back into layout. We going to go all the way down. We have Pedal Monster and then Pedal Monster Combo. That's the one we want.

See what it did there? We've got half the screen set up for the Pedal Monster and then the other displays right here on the right hand side. We can program those to do whatever we want. I Know what we'll do. We'll do.

Did not mean to do that category. Going back in temperature we're going to do Ambient Air Temperature That's going to tell us the outside air temp Ambient Air Temperature 100 That's Going to be under the under the hood by the radiator. So we've got 100 on that one. We'll do gauge selection.
Uh, let's see pressure. Let's see if there's something in pressures. Ambient Air pressure I Don't know if we have that I Don't think this truck maybe it gave us a value, but it gave us 146 which is normal pressure. Uh, let's see what else is here.

Boost pressure: No, we have no turbocharger. Calculated engine Load: Yeah, we can put engine load in there. That's cool. So we have temperature, engine load and let's pick a third one.

Let's see here: Engine Air Process Exhaust System Vehicle Dynamics What's that? Accelerator pedals? Nope, we don't need that one. I'm thinking fuel system, fuel tank level, air fuel Ratio: There we go. There we go. So now we've got outside temperature, we've got engine load, just.

we're giv some throttle load goes up, and air fuel ratio which theoretically should remain the same. Uh, these can of course be adjusted. The primary focus on this particular gauge setup again is to use this as the interface to change the gain on the Pedal Monster. and again, we can stack additional gauges.

or we can make additional pages so we can just scroll through our pages. So if we don't need to have the Pedal Monster active all the time, we just roll over over another page and then use the Pedal Monster on on page one. and then you can use other Pages for uh for different uh data parameters. So I think that will suffice for now.

Let's go ahead and grab the pillars and get these pillars reinstalled and put back together. Then we'll go out, hit the road and we can measure and kind of, uh, see the difference in how this vehicle performs with the Pedal Monster turned up uh, versus stock. So let's get to it. We're going to do the easy side first.

that's the passenger side. it's going to to slip that thing back into position, make sure it's dry. Paint looks good. We have paint saturation all the way around.

There's no gray spots in there. Very nice. All righty coming in. I've got the pillar.

The paint is, uh, fairly dryish. It's dryish enough to handle anyway. just need to slip that thing down into the dash. It's got these little fingers in there.

you've got to line up just right and then it sort of slips down. I think I need to pull the uh, the weather trim or the door trim or whatever back there. That'll make it a little easier to tuck this in. Please, tuck in.

Tuck in now. No. I I Think that's right. Feels right.

But it's not right. It's close. But what's the deal here? So we got a clip on the inside. that's got to go in that little hole there.

All right, Why don't we want to go? That means the other side's going to be kind of more fun because it's got that extra piece that goes over the top of it super Where so close there we go. Got it? Okay I just was not aligned properly. It was the uh, the boss up here for the bolt that was kind of in the way. strange.
no matcher. We got her here. so two Fasteners Coming in, screw this guy down Auto aligning this is good and then put the little caps back in, snap those into place. Voila! I Like it and it matches fairly well.

It did come off of this uh Sandstone color a little bit and we've gone to the gray. but I think it'll match the rest of the Uh interior scheme without uh without issue. So let's take our our weather strip here and just kind of push that back in. It's got a little Groove that rides on the body lines.

see where the pinch welds are. The groove on the weather seal slips into that. There we go. Very good.

Okay, that side's done. Let's grab the driver's side a pillar and get that one into position. Paint looks good. We have paint on the back side of the handle, front side of the handle.

Very nice. So on this Uh driver's a pillar. C C I've gone ahead and removed the cap here because I believe that the Uh gravity paint Scratch gravity I believe that the bolt that secures this piece of the bezel uh to the a pillar has to go through that hole. So I had to uh I had to take that cover off of there.

and I'm also going to have to cut some holes in this to accommodate the wires coming through. So let me let's pull these up some and I'm going to go ahead and disconnect them from the back side here. We need to mate these two panels together. So like I said, it's tight squeed.

We need to mate these guys together and then install it in one swift motion cuz doing this in segments on the a pillar is not going to work and I'm going to end up scratching things. So here's what I need to do. We're going to take the gauge and we're going to kind of mock it up onto the pillar right here and then on the back side I need to go in and cut out a section of this a pillar so that we can run the wires through it. That's what we're going to do next and I'm going to do that the easiest way possible with a step bit.

So we are right here. I'm drill a hole in it right here. just keep cutting. there we go.

Ugly hole. look at that you nasty and we'll bore it out from the back side too just to clean it up. Cool beans. All righty.

So now get rid of that de Bris. We set this into position. We got a good line of sight right there to reach, uh, reach our connectors, re returning to the cabin. We'll take our two wires.

We're going to run those through the hole that we just drilled like. So then we can set this pillar back into its home where it belongs. just like the other side. Slip that down in there.

I Got to pull the door seal back a little bit. ding text message. All right now we're coming up into proper alignment. This some wiggle action.

Good to go. Please clip in just like the other side. It doesn't seem to want to. Uh, there we go.
doesn't want to line up. but it did. So we got it. that's in, it's flush.

Let's put the top Fastener in here we go plug it up. Beautiful! So now we've got our two wires sticking out of the hole. Let's take these guys, plug them back in to our gauge Again, let's see how we did. This space is getting a little limited here cuz I cannot reach That's the pedal monster connected and then this one goes down to the data link connector.

or OBD2 connector Plug you in right here. Come on. I Can't see. Can you guys see what I'm doing? Nobody can see what I'm doing.

Not even me. All right. We're plugged in, powered on. hopefully.

Yep. Gauge came back up so reaching down below I'm going to tug on these wires. Some pull them, pull them through and get rid of the slack. Got one.

Where's that other one at? Okay, those are both fairly tightish and we just sort of slip this thing in and it should line up. That's actually a very tight squeeze right here. Get that right there and then I Think we need to find some kind of a push pin or something to stick in here to secure this unit. All right.

So I've been staring at this for a few minutes now trying to troubleshoot how to get this thing secured to the pillar and it looks like the design has a bolt hole. uh, like we talked about earlier right here where the other bolt goes through. Uh, the problem is is that actually actually does not align the way that it should. Um, I think and and I don't have any hardware that go in there or that does go in there.

I I was saying I was going to put a push pin in there, but then with this cover removed from the Uh from the handle, there's nothing for that push pin to engage. So I I think I'm actually missing something out of the box. I'm wondering if it fell out like during transit or something like that cuz there was like a little bit of a gap in the Box Um, so in light of this development, rather than beating my head against the wall trying to make this thing boltt on, I'm just going to put in a screw right here. and I'm going to put in another screw right there on the other side and that will secure this part of the bezel to the grab handle up here.

Uh, it will emit the plug that's supposed to go in there. but I think we can live with that. So um, I'm going to go ahead and just drill a pilot hole Here we go. Start to damage things I Just installed.

We're going to drill a pilot hole in this and I'm going to run a screw in there. we go and I'll use that screw to secure the bezel to the uh, the handle here. There we go. that's better that Gap is no longer there I don't know how I did that, but I did.

Okay, there's one screw and I don't like that screw because it's sort of protruding. It sticks out. So we're going to back that one out and change it with another one. I've got a uh, a black.

It's got a larger face on it, but that one might look better. overall. see this is why we hoard this kind of stuff cuz you never know when you might need. well, anything.
really. Oh yeah, that looks, uh, that's much better. Okay, so now it's at least secure. Let's go around to the back side and we'll do one more screw just to, uh, even it out.

Plus look here. it seems to have formed a little bit of a gap so we'll push that in and I'll run this screw in. probably right right there wipies. it feels good pushing it up good.

Let's get her started here. This is the not the correct screw but I want to use this one to open up the hole a little bit because the other screw that I used the final one had a it's got a blunt tail on it. Get in there. There we go.

Now it's screwing down good. Okay So we've opened up the hole, let's back this little screw out and we'll put in the larger decorative screw. No power tools. when screwing plastic, you'll strip your plastic.

There we go. it's hooked up, threading, tightening, tightening, and threading. There we go. Beautiful! This is good.

So now we put our uh, weather strip back in position. just push that up I'll wipe off my fingerprint. We're good to go here. I Think let's clean the goodies out of the truck and go out.

hit the road. Go on a test drive. Okie dokie ladies and gentlemen, we are uh, nearly ready to get out of here. I've done a little bit more work on the uh the gauge Aesthetics here I changed uh I changed that back to RPM I changed the color a little bit I put engine load on uh the second gauge and then I did ignition timing over here on our first gauge.

Now naturally the uh the end user can adjust those and change them to whatever they want. uh I just figured uh, that looked kind of cool right now because everything seems to change and we've got some activity going on which is cool cuz it looks good and we like things that look good Anyways, let's go ahead get this thing backed out. Honk the horn for safety. we're going to turn the Pedal Monster all the way down into stock mode.

Oh real quick. One thing to keep in mind here. Um, when this is in reverse, the pedal Monster does not actuate. It does not have any throttle control when the vehicle is selected Ed into the Reversed position.

So that's a that's a key safety feature cuz folks are wondering, you know, hey, if I got in reversed and I hit the gas, does it just? you know, kind of drive away on me with the extra horsepowers and the answer is no, it does not. All right we're out of here. Let's go ahead and get her out on the row ad now we can see it's in stock mode. One thing you should also know about these is you can't adjust them while you're giving throttle input.

Uh. Additionally, should the uh the Pedal Monster develop of fault, it will immediately go back to stock mode and take away all of its uh, all of its performance little uh, adjustments that it makes. So we are in stock mode, we're going to go and pull out. It's drives normal drives like it's built to drive.
It's got a bunch of lag in the throttle and that's just how she runs. But if we take this and we're going to crank her up a little bit, you get a much much better throttle response out of it. That was too much. I Gave it some throttle and it downshifted little back or down.

Now the coolest thing about this is it increases your throttle response time. It increases your fun level and it's it's just some really cool stuff to have. No, you don't need it. but when people decide that they want things, they want them and this is definitely a a positive upgrade for anyone's vehicle.

um, I Personally am of the opinion that if you would like to get more more performance out of your vehicle, starting with a Pedal Monster is the best bang for your buck when it comes to dollars per smile. For example, if it's a $300 or $250 I forget what they cost. Well, let's call it 300 bucks. So you spend $300 for the Pedal Monster and it will not increase the amount of horsepower that your vehicle produces.

But what it does do is drastically reduce the time that you're able to enjoy that horsepower. Just kind of speeds up the process some and so it gives a much much better feel while driving. it's more responsive. it's Snappy it almost feels like uh, remember the carburet vehicles back in the day how when you gave it throttle it was instant.

but then as we switched out to fly by wire over time, the uh, the pedal acceleration or the response rather got laggier and laggier. and that's just indicative of the drive by wire systems that we use. Now we don't have throttle cables or carburetors and what this device does is it uh, it brings back that old school carburetor feel and again, you can adjust these on the Fly however you want. For example, if it started raining right now I would turn this way down or if I was in some kind of a mood and I felt like going fast I could turn it way way up and again it's not for everybody I know but if you want one, they're really cool to have again.

it's best bang for your buck because for the money you're going to get a a a better feeling and a better result out of it. You will get more performance. but that doesn't mean you're getting more power, but you're able to deliver your power more effectively and more efficiently. and that's why I think that that's the best bang for your dollar.

So anyway guys, that being said, all that being said I think I'm about done for the day. It's about 4:00 I'm actually going to close up a little early today because my baby girl wants to hang out with me some. I I was I Got home real late last night and we did not get to spend much time together. so I'm going to go ahe and close this video out.

I'm going back to the shop I'm going to close that out as well I'm going to get out of here I'm going to go home, hang out with the kids, have some dinner, and uh, I guess I'll see you guys on the next one. So as always, thank you for watching this video. Certainly hope you enjoyed this video if in fact, you did enjoy this video. Please feel free to let me know about that in the comment section down below.

I personally wouldn't bother with a pedal monster. But an I-dash for my half ton sierra might be good. I'd love a temp reading for my rear diff and maybe engine oil. Just for towing Temps. If thats possible. Especially for the longer camping trips where I'm driving 3 or so hours and lots of hills.

The best way to adhere interior paints to the plastics. Is Acetone. Lightly mist the part which soften the part. Spray while tacky. The paint will etch to the part. I use Sem and have had great success doing this.

Thats pretty cool Banks has parts for as far as i can tell 2012 scion TC but do i need to spend that kind of money on a pretty fast car to start with. Thing scared me when we got it. And i have a 88 supra turbo the TC was close in horsepower just a higher center of gravity.

Great job, Ray. I installed the Banks gauge mount and OEM a-pillar cover in my 2012 2500. Knowing I would destroy the OEM cover by drilling holes in it to run the wires, I removed the lower 1/3rd of the OEM cover. I cut it off right below the lower screw hole location. This made an easy installation. The Banks gauge mount covers the bottom 1/3rd of the a-pillar.

Stupid question, if the ga. Plugs into the ODBII port why doesn't it have a pass threw, it would be nessary to unplug it to use a scan tool, and if it was the equipment causing the problem you couldn't find out yes or no its the issue
Sorry Banks everyone makes mistakes i don't see a way to test this part like it is.

Raymond, if you want sponcer ship
From BG or Banks and they offer it take it, save some money for retirement because no one else is going to support you.
If anyone who watches disagrees they should look back at what you've taught them for free.
If you have a sponcer and they don't like it plenty of other channels to watch.

I get a kick out of what just drove in. Its a metrical these cars are not wrapped around a telephone pole.
By the same token, i took my car in to have the tires rotated and balance checked (big o tire) got it back with tires out of balance, next time got it back telling me i had bad shock i had just done a brake job less then 5k miles ago shocks were fine. Cars on factory lowering springs and 3up on rim size 19" rims on a scion tc and rubber bands for tires. The shop labor sucked, next time i see a whole new crew in the store and a lot of work being done on cars that didn't need it. I do my own brake jobs.
Seems every time a shop tells me my brakes need to be replaced I'm
    Rebuilding the whole system.
In 50 years I've only had to replace 1 set of calipers. I rebuilt a few sets one i should have replaced the cylinder was badly pitted from moisture. Thats why its important to flush the fluids. Most the time i just do a pad slap. If you change the pads before you scare up the rotor its ok to just replace pads.
Like it or not thats a fact. Your cars still going to stop. Now this is also dictated by the area you live in the rust belt you're going to replace most the parts everytime but you'll only have the car 10 years because by that time its a pile of rust.

Pedal monster I can see in racing, but normal driving? Really? It can't be that hard to press a pedal faster, yet using electronics to make that faster?
I already have to watch how much I accelerate my truck, especially on turns. Too heavy and the tires spin and lose traction, maybe even try to swing around and best the front end. That's scary.
If anything, I need to invest in ways to keep the lighter rear end on the road.

“In any system of energy, Control is what consumes energy the most.

No energy store holds enough energy to extract an amount of energy equal to the total energy it stores.

These performance go-joe videos dont float my boat at all, in fact they sink my boat, so I'll pass on this video. I'm into fixing broken motors , Jeeps and or restoring something 1969 and older…….

Thx for the video! Is there any affect on a truck's warranty if you take it for warranty work and they see this add-on device? My GMC Sierra could use the exact help on the pedal you describe. Presently it's like driving and old dish rag until you get ruthless with the pedal. I am not hard on the truck, but I would like better throttle response.

Yes, I have a remote start. Also, I have the exact same color but mines in 05.

This is a funny video, because I usually watch it on my iPad instead of my television. So when you did your introduction and started up the Dodge, my dogs went insane. Thinking that I was starting up my truck from outside.
