why use a slide hammer when a 3 legged puller would be easier?
I like how you do them I’m old school and always take them apart and bring them to the 20,000 lb press and press them out but I run into the same thing with the race sticking to the hub and I found out if you heat them up with a torch and grab it with pliers and run the hub under cold cold water with the race pointing down that as soon as it hits the cold water the race will slide right off the hub !!!! Give it a try next time 🤷♂️

Can you please tell me what the name of the tool is that you're used to break that ball joint free? I usually just beat on it or I have an old little kit that I can use with my wrenches or air gun if I can fit them in but that tool you had looked amazing and I wish I can find it but I can't find it anywhere

Dude I was pressing in a wheel bearing with my new harbor freight install tool and I was getting ready to put hub on and I had you playing in the background say don’t forget your snap ring, I owe ya one buddy thanks it was like you were talking over my shoulder but back to hub thanks

I suspect those are really poorly made. I think I remember reading that about at 40,000 miles major suspension components can be worn out.

I thought the bearing/hub assembly was one piece? I did the rears and i just pulled the old hub off and slid the new hub on with the new bearing already in it. It isn’t the same for the front bearings?
Do you have to pack/grease the wheel bearing? Or is it pre packed

I've always read that when pressing in a bearing, you ONLY apply force to the outer race. Why didn't you do that here?

Eric O gets this job done in a half hour video, easy peasy. Me, on the other hand, have had every single problem that he pointed out that "Could" happen and a couple more. Murphy and his stupid law has been whoopin' on me with this one. Thanks for the video! I have to come back and re-watch it so as not to get too discouraged. (If he can do it, I can do it . . . eventually.)

So did it turn out to be the driver side bearing that was bad? I'm doing homework b4 I tackle a 2014 wth a bad driveer side. I'm going to change em both since typically one goes bad the other is likely not far behind. Nice instructions brother I will be subscribing and watching more
Can you share the part number of that bearing please?
These are press- not strike-bearings . Knuckle should come off, then bearing pressed out/in (why it's designated by its engineers a 'press in style bearing'). (Otherwise seat and or bearing can be damaged. Failure occurs months later and not in the first week or two where you think it's o.k. and you 'made it happen' etc.
Watched the small piece of pin go flying. Here's a fix. Close your cutters. Fill the cavity with silicone. When it's dry, slice with a razor blade right down the middle in line with the cutter. When you cut things, the silicone will flex and hold the small pieces. Old electrician showed me this. Has worked for years
