In this video I have a look at a 2008 Suzuki XL7 that was towed in as a crank no start. It didn't take long to find the P0335 stored in the ECM and find out there is some kind of issue with the crankshaft sensor. However we quickly see that the CKP Sensor is buried. -Enjoy!

Hi Eric Have ever listened to Justin Morgan explaining the U-scope? check him out
I need digram cumputer conacter digram
I thought this was a problem on mine but it just stopped running while driving then the starter would engage but it wouldn't crank the engine at all. Put a new starter and still same problem… Can't figure it out but was running normal before. Checked fuses relays all good. Wondering if it's ecu getting random codes always changing. But don't get why the new starter isn't engaging the gear to spin the flywheel it's wierd.
I know this is an older video but I just got my autel to read an 07’ XL7 by calling it a Saturn Aura. I still don’t get live data for the abs though..

Great Mr owe . Understand completely if you are tired after long hours. still love everything you do
Mr Eric O in your opinion what suggested training can you recommend to get someone ready for ASE Certs particularly for electrical and engine performance p.s im already a scannerdanner premium member and a avid watcher pf your channel lol so besides that
Holy Cow Batman! Can that screen get any smaller? Good Diagnosis👍
Para poner a tiempo una Suzuki modelo 2008 XL7 6cilindro información es diferente ala gran vitara
Could you email me or tell me where to find that wiring diagram you had up ?
""enhance enhance!"" I'm guaranteed to laugh and learn something from your vids! Keep up the excellent work Eric!
Gotta love that GM/Suzuki collaboration, my theta platform equinox was a total pain to work on.
Good video
Looks like when the doctor hook me up for an EKG! Freaking wires everywhere
i could realy use that luanch you could send it my way. i need it so i can up my mobile mechanic bussness. the bosh 1300. is a good tool. but reading the codes and and diag. data is no where near enough. i cant make more $300 to $500 a week on a good month. a tool like that would realy step things up and a good scope of course. i know you wont send it but i can at least say thank you so much for the videos. you danner and PHAD have realy helped me out with the videos and now im able to work on the nwer vehicles with out being forced to spend $50000 to go back to school.its been so great in that part of my work and i have been able to teach my son so he can maybe someday take things over and just maybe do way better then i could ever do thank you.. keep up the great videos lord knows we need them…
you could send me the launch tool. its one of the tools i need for my mechanic work. i have a mobile truck and the best tool i could aford is the bosch 1300. it does ok but it is limted on what i can do with it. . you could say it does about 5% of what a tool like the launch does. im just starting out with the mobile machincs and it is not doing bad but $300 a week not going to work and with a tool like the launch i could realy up my game. still need a scope of course but with that tool i could build up the rest of what i need fast. i know you wont send it but it would be great if i could get one or a tool close to it with all the things it can do i cant do anything more then read the vehicles im working on with the scan tools i have and you and i both know its not enough to just read them. you videos help out so much i realy thank you for them. it has at least up my game tthat way. one day i hope to have my shop again divorce in arizona can realy kill you they give it all to the woman i was lucky she was kind enough to let me keep all my tools but thats nothing without the building and 60% of my tools are now sitting in storge. as i have no way to use them and saling them no one wants to buy them for they would need a building to use them as well.ii just hope some day soon i can catch a break. but thanks to you paul danner and phad i have ben able to do so much more and have the know how now to fix the newer vehicles. i realy thank you all for that. keep up the good videos lord know we need them..
Ah see there is a part 2…..i shouldn't have bailed at 16.02…that'll teach me….
could it be low because of too big an air gap, and not generating enough signal voltage or some metal filings on the sensor tip dulling the signal also? was it clean when you pulled it or like a hedgehog….? what ! no part 2? after me saying to Ivan 'i hate these jobs split into multiple parts'…….its like watching a tv mini series ha ha .
reminds me of when I was a aircraft engine mechanic. They do not make things easy for the guy that is fixing the darn thing!!
What tablet are you using in the back for wiring diagram? Do also use that for your Pico?
Advanced 200 basic 150………………….tf
Haha "wanna see a frisbee" love your videos eric o lol
Beauty. Not fooled by the pretty square wave here.
Despite you're feeling tired and cranky I was able to understand the hall effect waveform and what you are looking for. This is the first time I got it after watching most of your videos twice. Thanks again for being such a great educator for anaogue types like myself trying to understand a digital world. Thank you
Great video Eric O
Oh btw, i now have to buy one since you and Keith have shown them off! 👍
I see this a lot on the Hyundai’s. They will actually run but have the fault stored and when scoping they have lower than expected amplitude. New one usually cures em up.
Having Marie help you with your car reminds me when I would hit a wall working on my truck and my wife would come out to the garage giving her perspective on the problem and a hand if needed, and it helped me get energized again to tackle the truck from a new angle. Those were good memories.
Great Job Like Always A+
The suzuki N36A engine is the same as the Cadillac LY7 engine. I wonder if you tried to pull data using GM as the OEM, if it would work?
Keith has the same tool
I did not see any missing teeth from the crankshaft sensor.
whats unique about this gen suckzukies is that they use a gm radio

part 2 !
Hey we watch you every day. I have a 07 Suzuki Xl7 limited. I wanted to say GM scan tool works just fine as it is equinox torrent equal. To a point. It's got a lot from the GM parts bin
I need some of your testing tools. I've been trying to solve weak head light voltage on a PT cruiser, just on one side. I temporary jumped a wire from one good headlight to the other. I will hopefully solve it this winter.
Signal amplitude. Important! Thanks Dr. O!
how bout that U scope…. thing is super handy
Mrs. O. I'm curious Did Eric talk to himself while working on cars before YouTube?
So why did this not toss a MIL?
'xpensive frisbee! Cheers, Mike from Fernwood, BC, CAN
The "enhance, enhance" gets me every time!
What procedure do you use for sealing the wires that have been punctured, if any? I've always used electronics grade clear RTV which is non-acidic.
Looks like Ms. Marie has replaced Ms. Hannah while she's in college! Hope she trained Marie well, and if not…Well….Eric the master will teach her well!
