I've got an 05 cummins dually. Would this kit be too small for most applications?
But her a belt!
Have you tried the power probe break out box ?
Heard it is very accurate .Scott from N.H
Oh, and tool tip for the tie rod tool…when you're done screw it back into the jaws, if you loose the tip, they're useless. And I've had the tip blow out like my shorts when old rusty finally popped and tie rod job turns into clean up the shop job.
That same ball joint tool works great for pressing back the copper sleeve on alternators that helps make them extremely difficult to reinstall unless it's hammered back or pressed back with that ball joint tool!
A similar tool can be found in harbor freight for under $10. Great tool.
For gorilla a little douche and a reach-around Bob's your uncle
Separator?
I've actually had that exact same kit for many years…..for front end work, it's generally 1 of the 1st things I grab except for my 2 pronged tie rod remover you showed has seen some better days….lol….
You're always informative and VERY inspirational!
On the wiper arm remover i have added yellow tape with tails to the pivot ball because when that thing goes boom that piece can be the hardest to find. Tails keep it from rolling.
I use the same style of tool, works every time. I do leave the nut on the end of the stud to protect the threads.
Never done a dodge product where the ball joints were still good. I torch em. Although I must admit I only work on trucks.
If you are trying to safe that ball joint, then dont pull or push down from the control arm. As it can spreds the ball joint ball hole. That tool is must have on aluminium, but if its harder metal then you can use hammer to make it loss. But dont pull or push down the arm before that ball joint is lose, if you are trying to safe it….
WELP THATS A SWEEET TOOL ๐น ๐ ๐. GOT REMEMBER WACKING ON ALIMINUM IS NO NO
It's nice to have right tools for the job.๐
Mr. O how about a tool box tour of what is in your tool box and what you use and what you rarely/never use?
Great job
Get Mrs. O a Goodyear gator back belt.
Hello Eric O Can we see tools that you recommend, and that are worth the money, and tools that are not worth the money! And what your thoughts are on tool boxes? Cheers niall keep up the good work ๐
The red โ hockey stick โ where did you get it and do a video on it PLEASE !!!! ๐๐๐
Shake'n Brake…baby. Saw it on SMA. Went out and ordered it. Tried it. Love it. Ordered another one for my son!
This one either didn't show up in my email, or it got deleted by accident. Guess I need to check your channel directly every couple of days!
I have that same kit! The labels and instructions look different, but all that's included looks identical. I bought mine about 7 or 8 years ago … maybe longer.ย
All the tools in that kit work great! I used it for years on everything, before I realized alot of things can be removed with a 4 lb. sledge whack to the side. There's been times where I thought I'd break that one you were using there – I was hammering on it full bore with the 1/2" impact. Was having a bad day that day (what else is new? ๐) and was in "IDGAF mode" . Well thankfully the ball joint let go before the tool did!ย
The pitman arm puller and tie-rod end tool also work fantastic. Priced pretty reasonably for that kit, too. I highly recommend this! ๐๐
You can use stop on a fan belt
I've had the same kit for years. I did what you were thinking – took a grinder to make the notch just ever so slightly bigger. Works great!
I can't imagine how many different tools you own. How can you possibly keep track of them all? Have you ever missed placed a tool and had to buy another, then later on come across that tool. Now you have two
I have a question!! Do the same ten people watch every video, hen put a thumbs down on it, just for spite??
Do you know where those thumbs downs come from?? You want me and your uncle Guido to go pay our respects for you?? Ask them about the family dog?? Comment on how nice the school where their kids are educated, is?? WINK WINK
Loctite dirty sanchez for the win.
i use the same tool, not to disturb the neighbors with the whaling of the hammer.
I have one of those. OTC rocks. Thanks Dr. O!
The best solution I found online was to "hit it like it owes you money". Another quality tip from a Honda forum ๐
I got real excited about your offer to go into detail on some of tools you use… Then you go and exclude scan tools (the little print taketh away what the big print giveth)…. I would love a deep dive on the best DIY scan tool under 1,500… ๐
Wiper arm removal tools good tips
Would actually like to know which scan tools that you use. I've noticed the Snap-On, two Autels, and the OTC. Which one is your "go to"?
Eric ever try Remoil? Or this stuff: i-chem heavy duty silicone spray made by amrep…great for door seals too.
Tool Times Tuesday ๐
i got the same set off the mac truck lifetime warranty i don't know if OTC lifetimes this set or not. be careful with that pitman arm puller mine the first time out she became 2 part numbers got a new one scared to use it.
Oh I like that! Only problem is I'd be tempted to take on those jobs and I'd cause a lot of destruction ๐๐๐
I have the Harbor Freight version of this tool. Worked great on the original upper and lower ball joints on my 2000 Navigator. Worked on my old 95 Villager too. The tool demo videos help me a lot! Thanks.
Love your channel. My request for tool information would be the scope. More detail on triggers and how to know a known good wave pattern.
Can be found on amazon!
I am curious of the problem within the caravan's transmission.
Be careful using this tool on a Hondoo with 2 holes for the cotter pin. You will easily crush the stud. Definitely need to thread a nut on those first to have any chance.
I use the castle nut and a sledge ๐
I have the Draper version of the balljoint tool. Works great
where is the "hockey fork" tool from…
Great Video! Right tool and it's done! Love It!
New tool I found. Subaru ball joint puller. Astro makes it. Bout 35 bucks off the Mac truck. Of course now I have the tool, I won't sell a Subaru ball joint for a year. But they finally make a tool!
Ha everything but scan tools. I would like a good recommendation for a quality scan tool for the home jobber like myself. $500 to $1000 budget
