In this video I have a look at a Toyota Tundra that came in with the service engine soon light on and a P0500 stored in the computer. I also notice the speedometer didn't work and the ABS light was on. Let's have a look. -Enjoy!

I have a 17 tundra and "abs and traction" lights are on. I believe the speed sensors are faulty, how many sensors do they have? Only on the 2 rear or the whole 4 wheels?

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars zr1sparky1 says:

The state ought to have exemptions for certain vehicles past a certain age by certain owners who are on limited income and just accept that the emissions may not be great for maybe another couple years until it goes to the crusher

Poor guy. That really sucks as the truck runs good. Well let's hope the evap runs so he can get to run his rig. This sucks.

Poor older guy and your stupid road salt. So in the end a perfectly good vehicle ruined by salt so makes it not worth while to fix. That sucks for your guy. Teach people how to drive and their cars would be good and no frigging salt.

An old Scotty Kilmer video suggested running solvent like lacquer thinner through the fuel system can restore enough functionality to pass the monitors for another year. Have you ever looked into such remedies?

Eric I am sure you do not have time to answer, but I though you find this interesting! I had the 04 Tundra with the cat.,(check engine light) issue, bought new and it was several years old when this occured. I replaced the cat. on the bank in question, with an after market, first mistake. Was fine for a week, got my sticker and the light came back on. Before it came due for inspection again the truck was rear ended and totaled. So I never resolved the issue, My thought was the after market junk!! Your thoughts??
I have only seen one adolecent bald eagle and it was in 03 on a hunting trip to central AK. It was nested very close to my camp. Awesome trip I would love to talk to you about it if we ever meet. Keep up the great work, I am a big fan of your abilities and work ethic.

When it comes to electrical tape, I don't use the good thick stuff like 3M 33. I use the cheap stuff because it is thinner and more flexible and is perfect for low voltage applications like vehicles. I also keep the roll in my pocket to keep it nice and warm and flexible.
