Ray, if it flooded with salt water, run away! All the pinch welds will rust and fail because the saltwater crystals never completely dry and will continue to rust the body forever. If it was freshwater you stand a chance of restoring it.
I wouldn’t trust Dodge to make a reliable bicycle.
Salt water flooded cars will end your misery much quicker than fresh water flooded cars.

Once was in a car that didn’t have its wheals torqued. Let’s say that stoner didn’t work at Walmart for long. Dude almost killed my dad, brother,my self. The tier bounce across the road and bounced over a van with out hitting any one. Car shook like hell before falling strait down onto pavement.

This is more work, but i worked as a tire installer for 10 years, yes for the Costco, they pay well. We would mark the tire at the valve stem and turn it 180 degrees from the stem. In most cases, that would lower how much weight the wheel would take, even with a bent wheel.

Ive got a 22 Charger Scat. They are super fun cars. If you can nab it for a reasonable price, send it 100%. Everything seems to be fine that needs to be.
If the tire has a circle or dot on it it should go next to the stem and normally shouldn’t need to add weights

I bought a '15 Ford Focus for about $7000 that had about 45k miles on it, and supposedly had flood damage, but I'm told it was only standing in about 4 inches of water. Every mechanic that has worked on it was skeptical when I said it had flood damage.
The only "issues" are the ones inherent to the Focus's of that era (transmission related). Even that's pretty rare, and being that it was from Texas: No salt damage! Though that may change, being in Wisconsin now.

Seriously though there isn't really that much that needs to be done. Replace the seat module. Check the passenger seat. Check all the other sensors and connectors that might have water intrusion, replace all the fluids and take er out fer a rip an see how she does.
Almost forgot about all that extra garbage wiring. All that can go. Chrysler products have enough electrical problems on their own. Especially if they've been flooded.
It would be gut wrenching to see a nice car loaded up on a truck to be sent to the auctions to wind up as scrap or someone else's project, as long as the insurance company too greedy and not giving a decent discount on it.
Getting second hand parts or a seat complete with the electronics required would/could be the way to go, it would be worth it and sure even if you were to only break even if you had several things that might prevent its repair?

BUY IT, BUY IT!!! I'm amazed at such little things can cause them to write something like that off. I can imagine more issues but, if engine miles etc are low then going through all low connections etc wouldn't be a huge issue for you. Clean em all up and some electrolytic grease on all should keep things good after.

50 years ago my dad bought an insurance totalled car. It was a 2 year old AMC gremlin. He got it for next to nothing. Probably spent a good chunk to get it out on the road again. It needed a front clip. Repair got done and it really looked nice. About 4 years later my dad was in an accident with it. The insurance totalled it out again. And my dad got it for nothing from the insurance company. Then he went to the salvage yard, got a green fender and hood for a metallic blue Gremlin. Looked ugly, but it was functional. All in all he drove a free car for about 10 years total. The only thing he paid for was the green hood and driver fender. Used to love that thing. Drove it to high school now and then. Used to get laughs at the green stuff, but with no weight over the rear tires, it was easy to bark the tires even with the 6 banger.
Update! Ray bought the Dodge! He’s now living in the garage. He misses the kids, but his bitter half won’t let him sleep in the house.

Anybody else thinking scat pack powered Toyota? Oh the fun we could have with that.
A word on corroded connectors – working on an old Jeep and a wiring harness for the engine had some problems. Connector mates at the firewall….disconnected all, saw the corrosion, and went looking for something to replace, which turned out futile. Just for the hell of it, I dunked the corroded end into a can of Berryman's carb cleaner and covered the mess with plastic wrap (so my expensive carb cleaner wold not evaporate). The connector I took out the next day looked fcking perfect! So I proceeded to do the female ends as well, blasted 'em with brake cleaner, and smeared dielectric grease on the connectors before reassembly. Been fine for the last 5 years so far.
So…something to try perhaps. Cheaper and easier than total replacement.

And I would be in favor of a cammed 6.4 Challenger for sound/fun/mod option factor regardless of salvage title & etc- obviously 'cheap' these days is kinda hard to define.

On the Escalade, would it have been better to at least replace both rear's so that you have the same tire circumference on both sides of the axle? What about all four if it's an all-wheel drive model?
buy that dog shit dodge and then if you are unable to bring it back to life, you can pay a pyrotechnics company to pack it full of real C4 and you can film blowing it to smithereens. imagine all the views of detonating a few pounds of C4 inside a dodge!!!

I would buy it at a right price. Engine, transmission, and rear end should be perfect. I worked on a flooded JEEP GC and the rear differential has water contaminated gear oil. The electronics were good. Buy the Dodge.

I've seen a worst tire on my then future wife's car. She was driving down the highway and a tire blew out and slammed on the brakes. Spun around in a circle. The only thing left of the tire was the bead around both sides of the rim. I drove her car back and forth to work 75 mile round trip for years. I've had 6 tire go flat or blow out on that car. I finally figured out that the tire shop was using cheap valve stems from China. It got so bad that I would check the tire pressure when I got home and again in the morning before leaving for work. 5 miles down the road and a tire goes flat. Another time I checked the tire pressure just before leaving work. 5 miles down the road another tire was flat. One morning in the dark I was passing a car and had had another car right behind me when one of the tire goes flat. So there I am changing the tire in the dark with no flashlight and doing it by feel. A state trooper pulls up behind me and asks me what happened. He says good thing you didn't crash and left. I didn't bother telling him that I was passing a car and had another car behind me when the tire went flat. I sure wish I had his headlights to see while changing the tire.
u could also try to turn the tire 1/4 to 1/2 turn on the rim to reduce the required weight
As long as none of the Electronics got wet it should be ok.
If you do have the opertunity to grab that unit up you could always do aftermarket seat bracket system until one becomes available with your knowledge I'm sure you could get the tilt steering wheel where your comfortable in it good luck and I hope you can get it

Hey Ray, I'm sorry, but I would never have put a tire on the rim of that Escalade. They drove it on the flat tire enough to shred the tire into dust, and the rim is bent, which makes it dangerous, and i am told it MAY NOT hold air properly. Just saying, that is what they teach us up here in Michigan(the Mitten State). And as far as that Dodge, You should be able to find the parts in a junk yard, or on Rock Auto.
