You use the tip tinner on a clean tip just before shutting off the iron or just after it has been shut off to keep the tip from oxidizing to maintain the tip so that it lasts longer.
Always let your soldering iron idle with a drop of fresh solder on the tip. Then wipe off the excess solder, just before using the iron, for a clean tip and add more solder as needed to produce a shiny connection. Do not over solder the joint because this can produce a cold solder joint.
For soldering electronics, always use rosin core solder and nothing else. Never use acid core, that's for plumbing. The best solder you can get is 63/37 ratio solder because it is the lowest melting solder available. 60/40 is almost the same and is easier to find. Also, get you some flux to clean the solder joint before you solder it.

First of all where did you get that flashlight you always use? Secondly, in my opinion using an open flame torch under hood is not a good idea. Why did you use that instead of a heat gun? Thirdly, I watch your videos everyday and your doorbell makes the same sound as doorbell to my shop makes and I always look up when your doorbell goes off.

I case that got lost the quick and dirty is that the tip tinner is for if your tip gets oxidized and doesn't want to take solder won't be often but when it happens this will be the ticket. One quirk of the station itself is that it will warm up way faster on level 5 than on lower settings, so even if you want to use it on 3-4 start it on 5 and turn it down once it's up to temp. Using the sponge, the sponge is great to clean the tip while soldering how I learned is to just dampen the sponge, it doesn't need to soaked in water in my opinion al that does is thermally shock the tip and cool the tip while you are trying to soldering. the cutters are great for flush cutting legs off of LED's and other through hole components. I hope this stuff will be helpful for you in the future.

Without air hammer nano 600ft/lb impact and nano reactionless impact ratchet I be loosing hours productivity. Throw in diag gear such as smoke machine/leakdown tester, tyre equipment and everything you can do with a simple blow nozzle the shop would be pretty limited without a hose lol … You got me on a mission to try icecream and maple syrup, if I get addicted/heartburn the doctors bills going be going to your PO box address 🙂

Ok, for me with the maple syrup and ice cream. I wouldn't be able to settle for two or three small scoops of ice cream and "drizzle" on a little maple syrup. I'd have to pack the whole bowl up with ice cream then DUMP the maple syrup on. After all, I want to make doubly sure it tastes that good!

mac tools has a brushless 1/2 impact makes snapon look like a 1/4 in drive and last longer. have both. prefer the mac.
