But you didn't replace the vent.

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sadie Scott says:

You would think Ford would put a rubber hose on the vent to extend it up or longer vent tub

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars nitrous07me says:

Should’ve added a bead of that gearlube silicone in that seam of the diff tube just for 💩’s & giggle’s

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mayra Gonzalez says:

The problem it’s the owner are making donuts and the oil go to the passenger side by the breeding hole

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Flores says:

Mate, I wish I could spray brake cleaner like water 🤣

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars bill smith says:

And what happens is, using the brake cleaner and compressed air, it just blows all the crap over everything else on the underbody.

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Scott M says:

Actually, Amsoil also uses those bags. They are very handy, less expensive to produce, and less wasteful.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars LazyBoyZR1 says:

My mothers 2011 Edge with I think the same engine… had a random stall at red light… I drove it 8 times before I could replicate her issue. As soon as it happened, I thought it was vacuum issues… turned out to the leak brake booster… once that part was replaced, not only did the breaks work better, the vehicle has not stalled at a stop since. Two different shops and a dealer said nothing was wrong with her car and that maybe it was bad gas…. One even suggested that Fords that are 10+ years on the road don't like the cold Canadian weather and blamed the temp… Her Sync screen recently failed though.. gota love Ford radio issues huh….

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Finn Carl Bomholt Sørensen says:

Not much technical improvement has happened on American cars since Ford T it seems.? I have never had a car with a stiff axle in all my 74 years of life. Even my three BMWs had separate suspension with a fixed differential.

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars joey faithful says:

Don’t u think at the 1mil mile mark. U will have a regular mechanic for that car ?? It’s 1 mil not 85k-200k miles. Bruh I just now realized there are a lot more cars that got 1 mil miles. How many YouTube videos u seen and they had a 1 mil mile car on that channel. I can think of 3 off the top of my head.

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ray Franks says:

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kernel Rick says:

So what about the leak? lol

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars E-Nonymouse says:

There's cheapo nylon rotary brushes for right angle die grinders that work great on delicate stuff at horrible freight, removes minimal material but will strip it clean. I use a syringe style filler for gear oil, fills about 250 cc at a time btw.

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars George Simpson says:

IDK, that ring gear looked a little shinny. Too shinny… and what is wrong with using a rag?!? A brush? Just a waste of brake clean. And doesn't the shop have a parts washer for the cover?

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Pete Owens says:

I am not a professional mechanic but to me the dif oil looked really fresh. Makes me wonder if a DYI er changed the dif fluid recently with only the drivers side of the car jacked up. When they filled the dif with dif oil the angle of the axle while the left side of the car was jacked up caused an over fill condition as the right axle tube would fill with oil since it was lower than the diff fill hole. Once driven the excess oil vented out the vent remedying the overfilled condition. . . . could have also leaked out later out of the vent if parked if it is parked on a steep slope with the right side of the car lower than the left.

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars lee musgrove says:

How many cans of brake cleaner did they get billed for Ray?😂 Best how to videos on YouTube. Keep up the good work sir!!

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars dragons vain says:

I like using lub locker gaskets. They work amazing.

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ericcsuf says:

    Good for another 10-million miles!

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars scanner lanier says:

My boss would shoot me if he saw me use that much brake cleaner. As mentioned, wd-40, soak while removing diff cover. Do inspection, seal diff. Then agitate the dirty with a brush and degreaser, then steam it nice and pretty. I think I would die of suffocation with that much cleaner being sprayed. Great people like the Beatles have done their most creative work being high, maybe that's why you can never have enough brake cleaner. Great video Ray. You're my youtube hero.

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MIke McC says:

Ray you MISSED IT you should of have run a hose off the vent up to the body as done on trucks.

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars livingdeadbtu says:

I have seen an ECM mileage corruption like that before. Mostly in long haul trucks. It happens when there is a communication collision that happens to have a correct checksum with a PID that matches mileage. The ECM did not have a sanity check and accepts it. Luckily the dash computer sees that as an unreasonable delta and overrides. From that point on the dash will use delta to continue. The dash is correct. I first saw jumping mileages in 1990s chevy caprice fleet cars. They were using flash memory to keep mileage and it would literally jump forwards and backwards thousands of miles.
Made our monitoring equipment look like it was wrong, but we were reading pulses and the dash mileage was what was really jumping around. Seen it (the PID issue) in internationals and the Ford sterling truck series as well.

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris76-01 says:

It must be a stealth time machine and some of the numbers like mileage didn't sync back after traveling through the space time continuom. 🤔

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jeremy Cricket says:

I had a 2006 GTO that was new. I got some bad gas or water in some bad gas. That made it stall at red lights at idle. So probably some bad gas or they put the wrong octane in the wrong tank at the gas station. You knew fumes and all.

And Ray you should make your own all purpose brake cleaner.

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Frank Wilson says:

How many times could this video be demonitized ?. The double entendre is strong with this one.

Or I'm just looking for Easter eggs.

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars barry phillips says:

10 million miles???? 260++ a day everyday!!!! No wonder it is WORN OUT 😮😦🤬

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nemesis TJ says:

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Ray says:

  49. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars darren beller says:

Someone's doing right will burn out On open Diff

  50. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Evan Murry says:

Perhaps the diff fluid was overfilled originally and since vented out until reaching the correct level

  51. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars CAM NEILSEN says:

Cleanest used diff juice I've ever seen 😱

  52. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars frostybandit1 says:

Anyone else notice a couple nibble marks from the pinion?

  53. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Marc Bondi says:

This is a very common problem with the mustang 8.8 rear for years. There was indeed a TSB fix, but it was overpriced crappy plastic vent tube extension. The exhaust heat took care of that fix on mine. Not worth the trouble. Think of it as rust protection, since ford is too cheap to paint the rear differential. If it bothers oneself, then give it a simple green wipe every now and then.

  54. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joshua Moore says:

I have do the differentials on my Jeep and I am going to use the Permatex Right Stuff 90 minute on it, less wait time!

  55. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Marc Carrier says:

Hey Ray, next time you do the Brake Clean/Blow Gun combo trick, try ziptying the nozzle to the blow gun. Maybe it'll concentrate the two points of contact together for added benefits. Try it.

  56. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kr3k says:

i got a question.. . . how much brake cleaner did you use per repair? xD

  57. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rick Darris says:

    Rainman Ray's brand brake kleen t shirt…

  58. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joshua Moore says:

I used the Permatex Right Stuff 90 minute gasket maker on my transmission pan gasket during a filter replacement and drain and fill. I put the Permatex Right Stuff 90 minute gasket maker on the pan side only after cleaning the pan. Waited 1 hour to torque it to spec and another 90 minutes to 2 hours after that. The transmission has not leaked a drop and it's been 6 months so far so good!

  59. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joshua Moore says:

That Permatex Green is supposed to be the best for differentials, and other parts that use gear oil.

  60. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joshua Moore says:

I think those breather fittings are like grease zerks they unscrew and have a socket fitting size.

  61. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Booblla says:

I feel that I'm watching you on the wrong platform to see you take a money shot to the face!

  62. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars UncleMarks DIY Automotive Fix it channel says:

Ray that car is sure in nice shape for 10 million miles! First car I have ever seen with that kinda miles! Lol!

  63. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars myshots101 says:

Sounds like someone's changed the mileage on that car.

  64. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joshua Moore says:

It sounds like a glitch in the camshaft position sensor. It might be wearing out.

  65. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chas aka Bigcheezmoe says:

Out of curiosity why don't you buy the brake cleaning agent in 55 gal drums and use a 1 gal pump sprayer?

  66. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars BR549 says:

    Very nice work Mr. Rainman.

  67. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Audrey Heuer says:

    But you didn't fix anything.
All you did is remove and replace gear oil. That's not going to fix the leak

  68. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars vwwrenchie says:

World's highest flow volume of brake cleaner..hands down…🤪🇨🇦

  69. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Wilson says:

That diff lube looked pretty good for 950000. I betting on a bad vent.

  70. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tim says:

you've gone back to the "i'll try better next time" line on the last few closeouts, but personally I love the "I don't care that's your problem not mine" version

  71. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nathan Fuck says:

with your brake clean power washer I wonder if you bought a cheap air gun and drilled a small hole for the "straw" part of the brake clean how well it would work

  72. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John McCullough says:

my son's has limited slip diff. Had to install that fluid also.

  73. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hope and Life Kids says:

Amsoil has had those bags for years. Valvoline is a Johnny Come Lately

  74. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tony Nameless says:

Dude, sometime I wonder about you.
Can't you just brush this off with BRUSH ?
Seriously. Spray some keeosine on it and brush it. Then spray. Will save allot of break cleaner and time too.

  75. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joshua Grullon says:

My hands sting just hearing the word break cleaner.

  76. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John McCullough says:

    Great idea. air and chemicals!

  77. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Snide says:

    I have a 2006 Mustang GT with a tune…zero issues.

  78. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tom Randall says:

Is it just me but that gear oil looks mighty thin like 5w – 20w Not like 85w – 145w real gear oil.

  79. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Brian R says:

i think i need to invest in break clean 🙂

  80. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Frank Shope says:

The break cleaner guys must really love you

  81. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Idaho Mike says:

    Conjunction junction….what's your function?

  82. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Thirza Peevey says:

    Conjunction junction what's your function…

Rainman Ray has a peculiar proclivity to prepare parts with petrolium distillates… Not to be alliterative or anything, nor to introduce a new word of the day.

  83. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Perry Howard says:

First of all no way possible this car has 10 million miles on it its possible

for leaks not that many miles

  84. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars William Morris says:

You know what would make great content? If you filmed yourself fixing a white 01 Dodge Ram in front of my house 😊 🥺 🙏

  85. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Richard Powell says:

I never had anything leak on my Japanese cars until about 250,000 miles. American corporations are crap after the 70's. GM and Ford are ridiculously cutting corners and not testing designs enough before releasing to the public. Toyota is known to test things a full year longer than GM or Ford does before using a new design. Toyota is not perfect because they did have that Tundra turbo gate problem but they are by far way more committed to quality than GM or Ford today.

  86. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Christopher Campbell says:

Wouldn’t it be better & more cost effective to use degreaser and water on those leaks/caked on grease instead of brake-clean?

  87. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars FL Winger says:

My car !! 2011 Mustang V6 but with only 77,485 miles. Stalling? was the throttle body replaced (under a warranty recall back many years ago)?

  88. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Anonymous Annoyed Gamer says:

I seriously thought I was already subscribed, honestly. Sorry man. I remedied that oversight.

  89. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars The WatWarriors says:

there is no way it is a 10 million mile car, in order for it to get 10 million miles over 11 years would mean it's traveling at aproximate 120 miles per hour no stopping. can someone explain how this is possible.

  90. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ivan Olsen says:

" it stalled …. once " …… female driver …. yep …. blame the car

  91. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Charlie boy says:

  93. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Kee says:
