In this video I show you how to replace the rear wheel hub in your 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan Mainstreet 3.6L 220CI V6 FI VIN: G-ERB-Flex . As always refer to your shop manual for the proper procedure and specs.

Do yourself a favor… If you live any where north, get a slide hammer…. I beat on my 2011 with sledge and pry bar for over an hour taking turns with a buddy.
Thank you for your help. I have a suggestion for the future that helped me. When you loosen the bolts take a punch and hit them. Helped, push the bearing out and off.
Well done, Aside from the mega rust that I had to deal with keeping the hub locked in place. I had a smooth 4 hour job. Thanks, I need to get a lift.
Who else is watching this video of Mr o in 2022? You come a long way Eric.
Safety glasses.
Top notch video! You area a Pro! Wish you would wear eye protection. We can't afford to lose good men like you.
That's a big 10-4 I got to do the same side on my 2010 town country
What size are the 4 bolts for bearing
Another great video.
Eric O
what spray in anti seize are you using here?
This guy is so smooth doing this. Thanks
Great video. Thank you for posting.
And yes, the calipers and parking brake assembly is junk. Replacing calipers for the second time in 50k miles.
What is it that you're pounding on with the hammer & chisel to get the hub off from where it's seized on? Need to do this to my 2012 van, only on the driver's side. =( Thank you for the video.
Iโve said it once but Iโll say it again. You have taught me so much more then I already knew in automotive. Your videos I search first when needing to find repair videos. Keep up the awesome learning videos man!
thanks for the knowledge man
I hate when youtube mechanics cut through a part of the repair and you get to that part and go…wth…. That's exactly what happened to me. I was to the part of replacing the abs wire and this video just cuts through the tin shield dealy. For those of you who get to that part (only on the rear passenger side bearing) There are multiple shields on the car, the shield that is pinning the cable to the body is the last/most rearmost shield. It's held on by two 8mm connectors (my 5/16th fit slightly better). You'll probably need an extension to reach the front connector. Take these two connectors off and the shield can be moved downward enough to put the new abs cable in, exactly how the old one was. Hope this helps and god bless.
What was the reason for the Hub replacement?
I ask because the 3rd in my caravan is shaking.
Thanks
Just wish I had a lift

nice job but PLEASE also teach safety first….When pounding a hammer on a chisel, wear safety glasses….many eye injuries result from omitting safety first rules thank you .
all great but on chisel it is written wear eye glasses
If the old hub is frozen in the knuckle take a BFH & drive out 2 of the old wheel studs. Remove the 3ea 10mm bolts & the dust shield on. Buy 2ea 4" X 1/2" hex bolts (full thread). Stick them through the 2 lug nut stud holes placing 2ea 1/2" hex nuts on the back side of the hub, screw the 2ea 1/2" bolts in pressing the tips of the bolts against the steering knuckle (NOT THE EDGE OF THE WHEEL HUB). This should serve to "press" out the old hub from the steering knuckle.
The long bolt & nut method along with a BFH worked on my Indiana driven 09' T & C with 130k on the clock.
The best video I ever watched. Crystal clear. Thanks.
Thank you I enjoy your videos very help
Thanks to you, I may save some money by doing it myself…..
I like an honest mechanic. Thank you.
Just did this on our 2011 VW Routan(basically a rebadged Caravan), broke my 3lb hammer getting these damn hubs off!
Well shit, I'm doing the LEFT one…
Great video. I did mine with ease thanks to your vid. The clip for the sensor was the worst part. I couldn't get the clip back together. Any tips anyone?
Thank you for your good, clear explanation and camera work. I wish all "how-to" videos were this good.
I just ordered Timken bearings from Rockauto. They sent me Timken boxes with ILJIN made in Korea bearings inside! NOT what was in the pictures. And, they want ME to pay for return shipping!
Thank you for this video! You're the only one I could find that's covering our rears โค๏ธ
Ssssksksisi
thanks so much for your time and help .God bless
2002 caravan. Replacing rear wheel bearing. I've tried half inch impact, 8 ft cheater bar those 18mm bolts will not move. Think they need to cut out.
You da man thanks very informative!!!!
Thank you so much ๐
Beautiful work ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
You have made what might be a daunting task for the average person, a job they could do – with the assistance of being able to re-watch your video a few times. Does anyone in your area ever do a rust protection on their vehicles?
Thanks pretty much the same as changing the wheel hub bearings on a Honda Civic in the rear minus the speed sensor control but yeah this is going to help me with my Dodge Grand caravan 2016 save me some money!
Loved your video! No BS right to the point!
He has a very good vocabulary in that he can smoothly describe what and why he's doing what he's doing during disassembly and assembly. Very good!
I hate ABS. does not help my driving at all. Should not be driving if you need it.
Love the video, just 1 negative comments from myself as a mechanic to another, use only copper grease behind your brakes or pads its high temperature grease and stays put unlike other grease.
You Do its Like A BOSSโโ๐ช๐๐๐๐
Thank you man. Got it done with your help. That hub was a mf to get off. I had to use the sledge hammer to whack it off.
Take a piece of contractor string when you're pulling it out use it to trace or fish back in place…
Awesome video
I just wanted to say thanks. I was able to replace the bearing on my van yesterday. Your video gave me all the information I needed to know to do the job. Saved me a bunch of money from going to see somebody. Sorry about that as I get youโre a mechanic , but anyway. Thanks again!
Amazing watching a professional do this. Me, 4 hours….
just wondering… could i just remove the caliper bracket bolts and remove the whole break assembly all at once?
Great video. Thanks. I just changed the left rear on my wife's 2010 Grand Caravan. When I put the new hub in it seems like it should have been tighter inside the knuckle. Looked the same in your video so I assume it is not supposed to be tight and that the four bolts actually support the weight? Seems odd though that those four smallish bolts would be enough so I'm a little nervous.
