I'm going to admit, it came in because they just wanted it to work.. but if it's a temporary fix, they always forget and never follow up.
awesome
If you're gonna take your car to a mechanic at least get rid of your rubbish from lunch
No scope – just went for the jugular and fixed it. – Good job.
Some shops have BIG fans to help quick cool things
Trippy interior…magic mushroom chick
WOW ! It looks like the LS-300 has a pretty easy timing belt to change…!
I replaced the same unit in my wife's 2005 Hyundai Elantra. I was getting a slightly different code, but the error went away.
A timing belt?? How 90s is that? I prefer my Focus gear driven VVT
Amazing what 47 minutes from scan tool to end can do!
Your in the wrong business if you don't like to get dirty.. lol.. sometimes it's just gonna get on ya..
Good call on the solenoid Ray! Hope they come in the week otherwise they may just end up with same problem again.
Another honest job.
Is there a minimum charge even though sometimes they don’t want it fixed.. you still did work and used supplies.
cost to diagnose a problem.
I have that same car😂 except mine has 263,000 miles and no problems other than a small coolant leak that I fixed efficiently, just the radiator change.
I'm amazed, not really, that people don't have the common courtesy of at least cleaning the trash out of their vehicle before leaving it for the Tech to work on. The entitlement class is growing exponentially in this country.
2JZ!!!!!
Why dont folks clean their cars before they take it to get serviced , just nasty ✌🇺🇸
I learned something new thanks rain man
I cudnt work on cars for a living… it wud ruin my hobby… even welding gets old
They're so well made and they last a long ass time if they're taken care of
I love seeing those engines, even if they're missing all the Supra goodies lol
Every mechanic has the same small ballpeen hammer.
Ray, At what school or other training have you had, taken etc.! ny Certifications other than ASE?
I am amazed at how many cars you get that are FULL Of trash. What's with that? Also brliant diag.
The person should clean their car before leaving it into the garage. What is their house like😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
You’re a brave man sitting on that pen. It would have stabbed me lol
I have VVT on my tundra 4.7 I farce 05. This is a big help.
Sir, YOU ARE THE RAIN! (end of video comment)
I need to find those seat covers!
One car full of garbage after another.
Dang looks like she never came back. I was looking forward to part 2
do you think the owner performed extended oil changes?
This interior should be prosecuted for physical and emotional violence. It hurts my eyes and my brain.
Clean your interior before taking care to a mechanic 👩🔧
Diesel flush that engine, twice.
derrick lewis vs chris daukaus on the TV?
"Now it's kinda fixed." I've had to say that too many times!
you should tell the owner that for every 100 lbs of trash they get rid of they will get .2 more mpg.
I love Lexus ES300 and ES330..
Ive been chasing a p0016 code in a 04 trailblazer for quite awhile and its driving me insane.
The code is VERY random.. sometimes a month or more without it coming on.
When it first started coming on I replaced the camshaft position sensor because that was the cheapest and easiest part to replace.
Once that was done, the code did not come back for a month or so, I assumed it was fixed.
When it came back I went to the next part, the VVT. When I removed the connector there was oil in there, I knew the VVT was bad (this is a sure sign)
So I replaced the VVT with a "ac-delco" unit from amazon (I am not sure if it was legit or not anymore)
Code was gone for months.. and then came back. I thought it was because I did not replace the harness due to it being contaminated with oil.
So I replaced the plug…. The light was off again for a month about and came back on so I used seafoam, put it in the crank case and let it go for about 100 miles.
When I put seafoam in, the engine light was on.
A day after, the engine light shut itself off and the code was no longer stored.
Fast forward 3 weeks, to now and the light came back on.
I cleared it and it has not come back on in a few days.
There is not any running or drivability issues.
I have a spare VVT (a known REAL delco) that I am going to put in next week im hopes the one I got from amazon was a fake/defective unit.
if that fails I am forced to take it to a shop. I live in an apartment and am quite limited on the work I am able to do.
Great channel.
Love my BrakeKleen
Short sweet and interesting. Like your work and informative humorous style
I had the exact same problem in my old car, took out the solenoid and cleaned it as you did and did an oil change and the car drove perfectly after that.
I'm pretty sure but the radiator hose shouldn't be best like that. Somebody else had another side right? Top radiator hose where I believe it plugged into the thermostat 9 Minutes 41 seconds.
Good video
If they use synthetic oil and change it regularly, that will not happen.
From a year or two ago, Costco started to sell Kirkland Signature Full Synthetic, $25-30 for TWO 5qt jags. That made me don't bother to get Mobil One or Ultra Platinum anymore, let alone Asmoil.
This car is almost as hot and dirty as my wife.
Oh look she brought you refreshments.
