what a pain in the aspirin bottle!
Masonry bit ???
Do'nt understand. Thiis garage has every tool to a specific job and yet will not invest on a set of good drill bits ???
I would have applied a duct tape around the pit to avoid further scratches before doing all this.
'After all that and I caught the rim'. Expression afterwards rhymes with duck!

I use a plasma cutter for this works great with little to no damage
Too many ads it's getting unwatchable
Try using Crack It freeze spray, freezes down to -200 and metals react differently to cold. Often an easy way to remove metals parya
you should use a water base lube and drill a lot slower you will save on drill bits and it will take lass time to do the job and you should have tried an impact on you nut removers
How about to real clean rust from disk and disk hub. Seems you conscience isn't clean at all.
Why not use some anti seize on the caliper and other bolts?
That was a complete mess, did you ever come to find out the reason for the over torque? Other than lack of knowledge, this is why we torque things everyone…
I donโt know much about about cars but couldnโt you mig weld a bar onto the bolt to try to unscrew it?
I got a funny feeling that car was very close to the ocean or they drove on salt water , salt water would cause that type of rust and Lugnuts to stick and bolts to be acting the way they are thatโs my personal opinion it might be different but I donโt know God bless you my brothers and sisters โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ
The heat from your drill bits is what broke that nut loose. You should have tried that hammer drill to rotate that nut much sooner. Aotherr fine hack job. How embarrassing.
thats why i dont like electrical and pneumatic torch wrenches
The first time I did this job, I did it the same way, drilling then chiselling the nut away, damaging the wheel slightly. However, the next time I tried just punching the remainder of the stud out once I had drilled to the bottom of the thread, and it worked a treat. I guess there is just the outer shell of the nut remaining so the stud just punches right on out.
Ha, I knew they were cross threaded and destroyed. Some idiot used the airtool in full force here.
I'm impressed
How many hours did you charge that dealer? Especially when their techs wouldn't touch it?
And how many bits did you fry?
Would a big ass alen key fit in the middle of the lug nuts?
Took me a long time to figure out that drilling slow with more downforce is much better than fast with less downforce.
Did I hear a little F lol. I had to remove one using that method. Pain in the backside. But congrats on removing it. It could of been a lot worse.
You should try Allen big Wrench to use the center of the nut!! before trying to use the external side of the Nut… and sometimes heat gun Works well
I was going to say they already look damaged.
I don't do this kind of stuff Just thinking outloud. Couldn't you also just make drill holes on each tangent of the lug outside the main stud center line and essentially split the lug in half and pull it off?
Stuff like this is such a nightmare. That said recently I had an awkward customer and their car was leaving my garage and going to a mechanic friend, so I made everything up with the high torque milwaukee just to annoy him.
What a mess.
You never chuck a bit like that. You are ruining the chuck when the bit slips. You have chucked it up on the harder part of the bit. Go look and see how drill bits are made and how much of the shank is softer.
Wow Bryan Adamโs voice has changed
That's an expensive butt rattling nut busting chariot !
Frist of all who tightens lug nuts like that. I've got to give it to you man for keeping your cool. Great work.
a reverse threading bolt extractor may have been a more elegant solution than drilling out the entire thing
how about making it superhot? I don't know how to call it, but something with a acetyleen gas burner?
Those are those locking lug nuts you need the key. Or some one didn't like this guy and just welded the lug nuts on
send that car to the crusher … fk it
Well I use to like your channel until all I hear now is sucky music in background. Time to watch a different macanic work
This is not how to do it.
Thread lok
Sure hope you're wearing eye protection.I learned that the hard way doing something similar years ago.
