There isn't even a soft "e" in the word let alone a double hard "E".

Back in the day we used tri-chlor as a solvent. We had one guy that would always smoke around it. Man I hated that. Thought if he ever got lit up, too bad for him. The camera inside the tank was a little dark, you should have lit a candle for more lumens.

Had an '85 GMC 1/2 ton with dule tanks. Just died on me one night. Next day buddy and I spent 8 hours trying everything from filter to lines to pump to get it going again. Turns out the crossover valve faild and switched to the default tank, which was empty. Didn't want to remove the bed to access it so drained the full tank and ran off the one that worked.

Not a fan of the NV200. Drove a 2015 for a company I worked for 4 years ago … thing had absolutely no power and with that CVT, screamed at 3k RPM from just off stopped all the way to 70MPH, which only took about 2 minutes or so. And that was when it wasn't loaded!

  61. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Proclaimor says:

Today Vladamir Putin met with General Secretary of the Communist party of China Xi Jinping. Speculation about the purpose of the meeting was that it was either about energy or the war in Ukraine. I tend to believe that Xi is not pressuring Putin to abandon war in Ukraine but may have mentioned the danger of fighting around a nuclear power plant cooling system. It is clear that Russian oil is making it into the global market by circumventing sanctions and that will likely continue. China gets much of its energy shortfall through the South China Sea and if they can get pipelines from Russia then they will not have to worry about an American blockade shutting down their country should they invade Taiwan. The massive Covid-19 lockdowns in China have helped ease global oil demand at the same time the US has been releasing strategic oil reserves to lower gasoline prices domestically. Another reckoning is coming when millions and millions of Chinese drivers are allowed back on the roads and the US has to rebuild the strategic reserves. My guess is that happens after the elections in two months. The Democrats don’t want record high fuel prices alongside the record high inflation.
How much are we also getting a good deal on barrels from the Saudis in exchange for not pumping American oil? The Democrats have pretty much said screw big oil, buy EVs. I highly doubt they will put federally subsidized fast charging stations at existing gas stations. They will have to put them at strip malls, grocery stores and good old shopping malls since a, “fast charge,” is at least a fifteen minute wait. Nobody wants to hang out at a gas station twenty minutes when they could be window shopping environmentally conscious and ethically sourced whole grain artesian breads or hand made soap or whatever crap they are being sold to free them from the guilt of turning the planet into a hell on Earth.
Communist dictators will be testing our resolve and attacking more Democratic nations if they think they can get away with it, literally turning Taiwan into a hell on Earth while we are deciding how to stop sea levels from rising two inches over the next 90 years.
I can’t see how the result will not be drastically higher prices at the pump stoking the fires of inflation short of total market manipulation from dirty deals with guys using bone saws to silence any voices of dissent. I did write a metal song about it. The overriding lyric is, “Jamal got the bone saw!”
I just don’t think politicians can get away with bald faced lies in the information age like before. Lying to people insults their intelligence. Old school politics has to give way to transparency regardless of how ugly the truth is. I am working the polls again in November and we have some pretty lousy choices. It’s like the old Bush vs. Gore giant douche vs. turd sandwich metaphor endlessly repeating.
Half of all people are below median intelligence and it feels like many more than that. The internet has revealed depressing stupidity on a massive scale as well. Time to say the serenity prayer I guess.
It was funny to see illegal immigrants bussed to Kamala Harris’s house. I may go to California to hug a hobo since that seems to be a good a reason as any for Cali tourism. Man there were lots of junkies on the sidewalks with needles hanging out of their arms there. Maybe fentanyl being the leading cause of death for Americans 18 – 40 is just a way to deal with the homeless problem. I now wonder if any of those junkies I saw laying on cardboard and laid out clothes few feet away from multi-million dollar condos were already dead. Would you prefer to hug a live hobo or a dead hobo on hug-a-hobo day?
Man I need to spend more time with scholars, Christians and kids. Society’s ills are a downer.
Oh yeah, good job Raymond. It was nice to see you get an easy one after struggling to tighten exhaust bolts with scant access. In the eternal words of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: “Tubular!” 🤙🏻

  63. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Zanthum says:

No no no, you gotta use a hammer drill/jackhammer with a brushed motor to remove the fuel pump retaining ring. Brushless just won't do. You need that blue-green light coming from the motor, that's how you know it's working and that you have the right tool.

  64. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Henry Bucki says:

should you lube the o ring on the tank. i did that when i changed mine on my 87 jeep

  65. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Greggg57 says:

Wow Ray. You really brutalized the new fuel pump taking it out of its wrapping. You are getting hurried and sloppy. And at the end of the video, what do you keep pointing at? I see no fuel gauge.

  89. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robbo Ironink says:

Ray, have you seen a lot of GM vehicles, mostly trucks ( Chevy GMC ) with fuel pump problems? I used to own an 88 Sierra ( beautiful truck ) and it was fast. I had a pump that went south for the winter. This happened eight times, and at a install/part rate it was 500$ I asked, why they’weren’t under the shop part warranty. I got a very short answer. Because they’re built in China and try getting your money back from them. It’s not going to happen.
