Hello …
Let me say I am thankful to you and what you do .I am having the same trouble as no start no crank .I lost my keys .and had to get so.e new ones from the dealership .but still nothing .can you tell me how to bypass the security so I can have my truck back
I really hope this is my problem. Cannot seem to find shit and short circuited some other stuff while trying to do a diagnostic
So a fuse can look good but still can be bad
You're a fantastic mechanic…

Thanks for taking us along! Great work!
Hi Erick I have been wathing your viseos for a while now I just want to say you are the real deal thank you for the work you put into makeing thes videos and to also say it is nice to see that you put your your work into not being a part changer
Thanks.
03 crank-no start. Thinking to change ignition switch but better check for 'green crusties" first. Or you could check it 4 me?
I watched one of your videos on a Trail Blazer ignition switch trouble shooting, which lead mw to change my switch. It ran good for about 1/4 mile and died again. Tested like what you did in part one and bought another switch replaced and Nothing! If I jump the pink it lights up the dash but no crank. I hope your part two helps me!
ronniehelms he good
looks like rodent damage to the wire cover.
just had a no crank problem on my 2007.5 2599hd that turned out to be a burnt, shorted purple trigger wire to the starter solenoid. crappy engineering on the wire routing. had to go through and relocate several harness sections away from risky friction points.pain in ass, and 3 days lost.
I Hate Electrical Problems!!!……You Attack Them And Fix Them Like a Real Maestro!!!
awsm vid i just started having problems with my 03 chevy the same way.. Thanks buddy. Greetings from Texas.
SUPER great diagnostic video
I wish I was closer to your shop. I have a 03 Silverado SS no crank and just canโt figure it out at all ๐ญ
Excellent Find!
Came here for the diagnosis and repair…pleasantly surprised with the Zen background music haha
Green fairy dust
Great job and video
Very thorough diagnosis!! Very informative! Great job!
Moore )mobile service, keeps your videos from getting boating.
Slow down to go fast I've had to tell myself that a thousand times an it works every time
That's what I like about the way you work. You putting that little piece of hose in the bottom of that fuse box to prevent that wire from getting cut was great ! The average shop would not do that, or even think about it. That type of thinking separates the men from the boys … Great job dude !!
Learned more in the last three days watching your you tube videos than I've learned on you tube in the last 5 years. You are very good at explaining the what, why, and whats next
Get R done
I don't have your special equipment to plug in and diagnose the problem. Which is why my truck spent almost a month more in than out of the shop. Truck kept going to limp mode for the #2 injector harness. It was already fixed and a complete new wire and ground were run. FICM was swapped and still nothing. I asked if it could be the injector itself. No no no!! Well it was the injector itself that was shorting out causing limp mode for the #2 injector harness. Anyway I watched because of now the truck has an ignition issue. Sometimes when the key is turned to start the truck nothing happens. And then it will start. Our truck is a 2004.5 lly GMC 2500hd Sierra duramax 4×4.
Cut towards your buddy not your body LOL
Excellent troubleshooting. The schematic diagrams makes it much easier. If everything is ok at point (A), proceed to point (B) I used to work on industrial equipment, (now retired) Thanks
Eric I do not know if your dad is still alive or not but I would bet everything I own he is very proud of you!
What a detective! You give Colombo a run for his money!
Great video, I have been having issues with my 2012 gmc Sierra traction control and stabilitrac lights coming on. I ran the codes on it and said it was the crankshaft sensor. So I changed it and relearned the sensor. Still have t and s lights on. It's driving me nuts. I think I'm gonna change the spark plugs first then look at the fuse box like you did. Any suggestions would help thanks again.
Loved it. Great to see a man who knows his stuff but double and triple checks his work just to be absolutely sure he's made the right call. Great work.
Whats your garage number? My truck still wont start with the key even after i put a brand new starter and battery and a new ignition switch and starter relay fuse
thanks for the videos.
Mine isn't that issue, everything works except the starter, held the key in the start position for a minute before the starter did anything, those diagrams would be great to have access to ๐
My 6.5 turbo diesel won't start or crank batteries are a month old it gets power to the lights n shit but just will not crank I'm thinking starter but idk for sure
GREAT JOB Man, very imformative!!! Thanks!!!!
i am auto electrician working in Dubai
Could you please move to Virginia? Lol. Your a great mechanic man. Been looking for a good trustworthy mechanic to take all my junk to. Lol. My work van is currently in the shop crank no start , has been for 4 days and I got the " well buddy we're stumped" call on the second day. Second time getting this call at 2 different shops 2 different vehicles/problems. I just want someone that can fix my vehicles ๐คฃ.
Real good work man I love how you back track, and double check awesome work ethic…
You have a rock solid method of attack. Splitting the system is an excellent troubleshooting method to simplify the system and getting to the real culprit.
i am having ignition problems on a 2005 silverado after removing lock cylinder and tamping out a broken key. any thoughts?
Did the hvac fan lose power with this issue? My 05 avalanche is dead as fried chicken right now and we've taken about all these steps except under the fuse box….which I will go to next.
