Happy monday, i don't know what it is uh, but it's here this is some oldsmobile thing. I don't even recognize the badge this has got to be. A buick looks like a buick or most of a buick got a light bulb out yeah. I do believe it's an old regal or something is that what this is? It's limited.
That's for sure. Yes survey says it's a regal. It's been spray painted, see the overspray it's classic, i'm assuming it was here for a break. Inspection must have come in on saturday.
Oh, those are nice air lift shocks. This thing brings me back. It's custom fully. Custom buddy wow is that suede it's got a suede back seat.
We got to do it, we got to do it real, quick pop it into the hood. No, that's not lightweight and it won't stay up on its own. What's in here a 305 throttle body injected, i think so. Look it's got the little heat.
Riser thing still left over yeah. This has got to be a 305 gutless. Oh, it's got power supply for a stereo, it's high class. That's pretty cool emissions, delete all right, guys, that's a wrap thanks for watching this short video.
I thought you guys might like this thing. I don't.
Thatโll buff outโฆโฆ
All that GM plastic from the late 70s/80s sure didn't last, did it? Like here, like on the Caddys from that era…rear bumper, up to the "vestigal tail fins."
Do ANY cars from that era still have factory bumper plastic?
There was a clean 84 regal 4 door same color as this at the junkyard many years ago. Probably was a dead
old old person car. was 100% intact and perfect. The junkyard destroyed it in a day. It was down here in SWFL
Ernestine (Lily Tomlin) the phone operator on Laugh-In had one bit where she called up the current head of General Motors, and congratulated him and his wife on their new baby. She finished up the bit like this (going by memory): "But tell the truth, Mr. and Mrs. Motors: Wouldn't you really rather have had a Buick?"
Edit: Guess I'd better explain for the whippersnappers: At the time, GM's Buick commercials had the catchphrase, "Wouldn't you really rather have a Buick?"
That car is over due with a date with the car crusher.
Man that regal is rough. I had a 86 years ago. Had the olds 307 in it.
That was before your time Ray but if that thing was a T-Type, you would have something. The T-Type limited was sister to the Grand National for I think '84 to '87. The '87s came intercooled with a big Turbo and they were setting records all over the drag strips.
I can smell the weird odor from the screen XD
Had a Regal company car that I cascaded to my son in college. The engine (200k+ miles) gave way on I-94 in Chicago. He called, saying, "Dad, talk me down". The towing company wanted paid and my son didn't have a cc or cash. I told my son offer him the car and I'd send the title. He took the deal
After making fun of a persons car, I certainly wouldn't want you working on it if it was my car.
That sir is a Buick 231 V6… Aka a 3.8 with a 2 bbl carb and more than likely CCC feedback. What a slow car, but it will run forever.
Blew up my share of those POS 3.8 back in the day. All you had to do to blow the bottom end was pass a car on the highway it seemed. Buick finally redesigned them in 1986 so they were not grenades.
I think they're cool. But I still think my 63 bel air is cool. so there's that.
This is not fully custom its fully sick literally. cheers.
What a pile of junk
Its 130 am and i am also wrenching on a g body
gnx
Not related to the video u should have coffee mug with your renditions of shop phone ringing
this one is a certified derby classic
I bought my wife one of these with the 4.1 V-6 as there was no V-8 in 83……it was 13K and She loved it but it was a turd. I traded it in for a 84 Z-28 H.O. and She REALLY liked it! It was an even BIGGER turd! Traded that in for a Honda Prelude 5 speed and lived happily ever after!
3.8 v6 i a gbody guy own olds cutlasses
I almost bought one used. It was only two years old, at the time, and was in perfect shape.
3.8 v6
Iโm the owner of a semi clapped out 2nd gen dodge 5.9. 525โ000 miles good body, no rust. My daily bought it new in 1999. Have a few dash problems, drivers seat and center console bought gone. That car is clapped out.
305 was gutless but man you couldnt kill it.. same block as a 350 but thicker walls with a ol quadra junk and that would not die
Ray your right side in engine bay looked to me looked like it even had cruse control, classic in its day
I bought a 1986 Buick Regal grand national in 1986. Was used had around 2500 miles on it. The owner said had to much power. I laugh it had a v 6 intercool 231, 3.8. in it. We kept it 25 years and one day we sold it. My wife still mad at me.
Carbonated 3.8… the mid point in the slow evolution of the Buick V6 from 225 shaker to the more or less mighty 3800 Series II. Crank windows FTW. Up north the frame doglegs would have rotted off decades ago.
I had a 1978 Buick Electra Limited
Clapped classic.
Looks like that gbody is ready for a circle track.
Is that road legal?
That is a 3.8l or231 ci carbureted gutless v6
I think by all information on video it's a 3.8 V-6
Oh my!!! Bringing back early adulthood memories…Had a 78 Cutlass Supreme with a aftermarket sunroof. Broke in the passenger seat many times in secluded places with the moonlight shining in! Fond memories… Thanks for sharing!
Hooptie!
When they fill it up it exceeds the value of the car.
I had a GM once.
Aint a dent without a panel on it..
Fully customized, with whiskey dents.
Normally when someone owns a car that looks like this, they get a buddy to fix it, or bring it to a shade tree mechanic.
A car like this could bring down the value of your shop.
Those valve covers look small, I think itโs a 4.3.
Looks like the one my mom crashed when I was younger. Guardrail damage on the passenger side too, it wasn't totaled
does the air work?
Pos
looks like 3.8l v6
Definitely seen better days.
"What is this, a Buick?"
It literally says "Buick" on the grill.
Clapped out… definitely.
Looks like it's missing some parts.
It's a pile to most but up here in the rusty belt that old classic is worth a buck still. Well before bidens america anyways!
