I don't know man, i think they blew it up. Something is very unhappy over here yeah. I definitely hear something odd going on here. This is not right.
I can't tell if it's metallic or if it's some kind of exhaust leak. This is a very odd sound to me. So what are we doing here? You guys are gon na stay here and uh watch. This gauge, like i said, we're looking for a minimum of 90 psi just for combustion to even be able to occur, but ideally we want to see like 150 to 180.
Now i need to disable the fuel injectors and the remaining ignition coils out back, because i don't want this thing to start, while i'm trying to check it.

What I can tell you is that noise id not coming from the lifters! lol
I think the glow plugs have flat spot on them. Change to diesel fuel and see if it still cranks.

Sounds like money to me. With the odd coils the first thing I'd be checking is are those two coil packs on the correct cylinders?
Then has it good coolant and oil, aluminium (not aluminum) engines like fresh oil and water in the right places.

I drove a Corolla motor to it's death making that noise, it threw a piston through the side of the block. It amazed me how long it lasted driving around making that sound, I knew it was dying.

Drain the cooling system and rev it up to the redline.
One of the cylinders on VW beetle engine has 75 PSI compression, and it still fires regularly enough to get the exhaust header hot. Definitely doesn't fire all the time though, especially on a cold start!

Sounds like my stock klr 650
i have a 2004 ford ranger xlt i had my rear diff pinion gear bearings blow and now that i have put it back together with new bearings new gears and a new carrier gears it has a lot of play in the pinion yoke i have tryed everything i can think of and its still clunks and bangs going down the road if anyone sees this i would appreciate some help .

Man , that kinda sounds like a jumped timing belt on an interference engine.
Kind of sounds like a piston hitting a valve that is stuck open, would also explain if there is no compression.
