it not even the starter for the car open your eyes

  2. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars bobbg says:

Dosnt somone make a repair plate you can install onto the block to give solid ground to seat a starter onto?
A machine shop might be able to make that part with the motor still in the suv.
All you need is z 1/2" plate a few welds and bolt holes.

  3. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars bobbg says:

Id smack that starter with a hammer. A lot of times the bendex won't return the gear to the flywheel. They freeze up s good jar will free them so the spring can push the gear into place.

I was just reading a review on a code reader. The guy took his impla to a shop and was told his hubs were bad on his abs system, he had them replaced
On his way home the abs light came on so he went back the shop said well youve got new hubs now. WTF he paid to get the problem fixed, not to somone to play parts jocky, the guy stoped bought a cheap code reader and got under his car to find the sensor wires were broken but intermittent bought new parts for 26 bucks and fixed the problem.

Ray knows how to find and repair the problem, he dosnt just start swapping out parts untill its fixed.
That would piss me off bad enough to cancel payment on a ck or deny charges on my charge card. If your going to repair a car make dam sure your fixing the right parts. Or go find something else to do for a job, people don't have money to waste on your gusses.

I had a 4.3 trail blazer was the same way broke outside of block / starter mounting surface ,was able to get a epoxy to repair the broken missing pieces but it didn't last long

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars bobbg says:

RAY, just for shits and grins
Can you test the Harbor fright
ZURICH ZR8. CODE READER WITH LIVE DATA
And compare it to a decent code reader
For thoses of us who don't want to spend 2k on a snap on unit.
The price point of this is just under 100 dollars.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chanmay says:

    lol as a Japanese speaker… 「あらあら~ お可愛いこと・・・」, aka "Oh my… how cute…" You got yourself a weebmobile.

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daddyoh says:

There are insert possibilities that may work on the block. That said new engine block is what is needed. Shouldn't there be a starter bracket on the front side of the starter?

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars belowzeros says:

who knew the mini coop was powered by anime and chocolate milk

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars William Dawkins says:

    Frickin amateurs !

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ray says:

Three or $400 starter that's a $39 starter all day long build some shins or braised that corner of the block build it up Sand it off and put the starter back in problem solved you going to gas well that with brass is it level sanded off and go all about your business for less than a hundred bucks I have done several and have no problems with them afterwards

    I too hate febreeze!

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Trung Huynh says:

Mini. Its a interbam leak in the radiator but its to late to be repair

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars theAreaMan says:

Poor thing was already on a replacement (Jasper) engine, and it was poorly maintained.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Charles Lefler says:

They need to get a hold of Jasper and try and get their money back

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars bill smith says:

I know what you mean about smells. My wife was doing child minding a while back. A mother came to pick up her kid. The perfume/deodorant she was wearing, was so strong I had to walk out the house to the back yard. The only way to get rid of the smell, was to spray the house with fly spray.

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Charles Lefler says:

Well Ray the first problem and the only problem when you were looking at the flywheel I noticed that's a Jasper engine that's the problem all along I used to work for Jasper LOL

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Trung Huynh says:

I think u can save the mechanical

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Travis Jansma says:

All because of where the starter bolts to. That sucks.

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Trung Huynh says:

Ive been watching u 4 a long while, u r a damn good diagnosis on mechanical and electrical poo. But it was so obvious u should add some h20 prior to the diagnos. FYI keep it up , u fine.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bryan Peters says:

I love your mini cooper videos! The first video was a cool look at the starting system

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jerry Hatrick says:

Mini pooper better off in junkyard anyway, soon will be electrical issues unrepairable.ask how I know?
    The other vehicle? Repairable.

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jay Cee says:

    What a shit box.

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Charlie Ewing says:

    The mini milkshaked. That blows.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Timothy Hutchings says:

Should have Taps playing in the background when lowering the GMC.

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jerry Hatrick says:

There is an easy fix for that. I have done it a few times. And the vehicle rotted died and got sraooed before needing repair again.
But it's gone now so no sense in telling how hahahaha.
    I'll say this..
    Shims. Helicoils and new starter.

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars John Keller says:

My solutions almost never include welding buuuut…

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jerry Hatrick says:

Omg wow hahahaha, dealt with that before yupprs

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cloud Strife says:

why is no one talking about the fact that the mini cooper went ara ara

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jerry Hatrick says:

Like a distributor gear to a cam gear, starter gear is softer than the flex plate gear.
But i havnt finished the video yet. I'm enticed to

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars greg a says:

I had the same problem on a 4.3 GM in a forklift. The outer bolt broke and drill out attempts failed, so we pulled motor and sent to a machine shop. They cut off the outer ear of motor and welded on a new one. I installed the motor and a new starter and cables. Started it up and it was like new! Sometimes it is in who you know…🙂

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars tony deeble says:

HI Ray, i love your videos and watch them every morning. I do have one concern though. I watched the clip of you making your assault blower and loved it, and saw you use it the other day, but because i am in australia i am worried that some dude will be driving buy your shop and see you waving it around, pull in to the shop and blow your head off!! WE do have some gun crime but it is usually bikie drug families taking each other out! STAY safe ALL THE BEST…TONY.

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars negermord says:

Make sure that this Mini gets crushed – every contribution to the war on anime counts!

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Cerus98 says:

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Gregory Vines says:

Oh no the forbidden milkshake on the Mini…

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bradley Wise says:

I usually like ray,but that was the wrong call on that chevy, the right bolts are critical to a small block chevy starter, that lack of knowledge cost that guy a vehicle, like i said i usually agree with ray and like his content, but that was a bad call

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nova Vroom Vroom says:

You never wrote on the description of the Tahoe that the radiator is bone dry

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sadayan Ebramsah Ismail Ghani says:

    hahah speaks Anime

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars William Clay says:

Use JB weld to repair the bolt hole..lol

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars rob8742 says:

I also have a 99 yukon with over 266000 miles on it and it still runs pretty good its always about 3 inches low on water in the radiator and it never overheats and it gets the same buildup that was on that radiator cap lol its kind of a shame it's going to the scrap yard for something so small cuz those are good trucks

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Saienide says:

I'm not sure why but to me you seem like Ian McCollum but with cars.

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Weston Howe says:

Wow never seen something boogered up like that starter "install/repair", impressive.

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Kane says:

My first car was a hand me down 81 Cadillac (V8-6-4 FTW) that ate 6 THM-400s. How? The shift modulator is vacuum, and if the diaphragm goes bad, the engine sucks (or is force fed as Ray mentioned due to the high pressure) trans fluid and attempts to burn it. Massive amount of white smoke accompanies this.

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Andy Saunders says:

    I had a '71 Vauxhall Victor FD 3300 wagon.
    Yeah, did the same.
I could wind it over by hand, and it would generally light up.
Same with a Mark IV Fort Cortina Ghia.
    Nasty British cars.
Should have kept them – they are worth heaps now.
    Woe is me.

  49. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jay B says:

A person could completely restore that Suburban for far less then a new one.

  50. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ion Racer says:
