I’ve had my Tacoma sprayed by Krown in Stanley NY twice now, and every spring just before I bring it in again, there has been rust starting on my lower control arms, rear axle, Leafs, tow hitch, and spots on the frame here and there. Now I’m sure it would be WAY worse if I hadn’t done the Krown spray, but this stuff isn’t a miracle in a can. This time I might paint over the rust spots once the Krown product dries, as an experiment

I do undercarriage wash and, WD40 then 0W motor oil. But I'm poor boy and like to do my own work. I paint on with a brush. Use a cardboard to catch drips. Jack and Jack stands are useful.

What does this process cost for a Tundra like Eric O is getting Done ? @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC

  8. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Antonio Claudio Michael says:

What happens to the krown when it's applied to something that gets hot like Exhaust or manifolds or headers and mufflers Egr Pipes stuff like that ? @SouthMainAutoRepairLLC

    Did they detail your interior.

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Martin Morris says:

Which you like better this stuff or Fluid Film?

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tow Haul says:

    What was the cost?

  12. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars twotwentyswift says:

I just watched Repair Geeks video testing several different undercoating/anti-rust products. Crown had disappointing results. Hopefully, the stuff they spray in their shops is better than the stuff they sell in the spray can.

After 3 months, my car looks like I never went to Krown. My friend told me that they didn’t spray under my car because there’s was no residue, like really nothing on the metal. I called Krown and the owner said that its normal, that the metal absorbed the product and its working from the inside… I didn’t look at the guy when he sprayed my car, so I try to trust the owner but I have doubts…. My friend uses the Krown product for his cars for many years and I trust him when he says that they didn’t do it… But the owner seems really clear that its normal that my car looks like this…. I’m confused.

If i knew i was gonna get this good of a application i would always go to krown. Unfortunately last few times iv crawled underneath and been amazed at how many dry spots there was, and or spots they didnt even bother to spray. Hence why i do it myself
    Now.

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars randomrazr says:

no way the average krown shop is this thorough

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars randomrazr says:

can u spray it on exhuast clamps or stay away from exhuast system?

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Reax 22 says:

Great job! Worth every penny! Get it done every year or two and that vehicle will NEVER RUST!

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars A. C. E. says:

I've used Krown since 1990. That 1990 Toyota Tercel was bought new and sold 16 years later rust-free. My other 1999 Honda CR-V was bought new and sold to my friend when it was 13 years old. It is now 22 years old with a bit of rust simply because I last sprayed it in the fall of 2012. I apply Krown T40 myself. I also do not drill holes as there are enough access holes in the vehicle.

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joe Collins says:

So my question is you talk about truck being clean underneath does it need to be power washed before bringing to your shop to have krown applied also what about the oil mist in the cab

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Yannick Roy says:

Am I being nik piking cause my local oil rust proofing shop wears them white disposable cover alls throughout the process not to get those fumes all over him!

Is Krown oil product the same as other oil rust proofing products being used elsewhere?

    Thanks for the informative videos!

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars BlueSquareblogs says:

I had this done recently all good, as it gets everywhere I'm experiencing brake fade

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Koontz says:

    No safety glasses

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bernard Jurs says:

How much did that cost to do

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dean B says:

Krown is an awesome product. I get my truck done every spring!

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Dan Labelle says:

U r getting a special treatment they never put that much

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Stephane Audette says:

I go to my local place for this treatment and I can tell you that they are not as generous as yours. I finally decided to apply fluid film after sawing one of you're video on that.

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mr.DJCoon Coon says:

This will also kill all the roaches….I hope they spray the break pads also…

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars P Thomson says:

I swear by this process. Been doing my vehicles for years(decades). Keep in mind it still requires a good person to apply so select a good operator just like you select a good mechanic.

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars diver362 says:

Can this be done if a vehicle has already been exposed to the elements?

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rob Krochenski says:

What about the overspray into the cab and particularly onto the upholstery?

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Un Named Channel says:

F breathing that up for a living every day

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Shane Harrison says:

Ah I c things looked dark and couldnt see it was the video

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Shane Harrison says:

They blow off everything befor or are they applying the krown

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jason Oliver says:

Looks like the spray/mist was coming out of everywhere inside, doesn't this get oil residue all over the interior?

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars jadd6810 says:

Obviously this guy is not the person who buys this product for the shop. HAHA

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rotaryphoneuser says:

    When mechanic buys tundra…….

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars phill80 says:

When you buy an expensive phone you always buy a good case for it and a screen protector to look after it. If you're going to spend tens of thousands on a vehicle, this to me would be the equivalent investment. I hate seeing newer vehicles aging badly because their owners are 'credit rich but smarts poor'. I buy my cars from auction and never pay more than $5000 for one, so this to be would be overkill, however if i were to spend 'truck money' then i'd be the first in line at Krown.

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars 06mkmartin says:

So are they always this thorough, or only because he knew you were filming?

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Ouellette says:

How many times is he going to spray the brakes and exhaust,!!!!

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars lorijohn101 says:

I'm guessing eric-o got twice the undercoat that the majority of people got!

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Andrew Macdonald says:

You need to carefully pick your KRC shop because some aren't as thorough as others. Also, it appears that they don't spray directly inside all the chassis holes which is where rust grows out if sight!

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars rick james says:

That Krown junk must be water based. Have to reapply yearly. The kid applying it didn't even have any eye protection on spraying under the truck. Sprayed the front brake rotors down LOL. NO SALE!!
