I always though you where a Fluid Film guy ? have seen you use it on other videos .I was going to suggest you try WoolWax next time on your undercarriage its a lot thicker and resist wash off better than the Fluid Film I still will use the Film in the doors and body parts where it is less exposed to the water

We are lucky in the U.K. it seems global warming has its benefits the winters are getting milder and the is a lot less salt spreading going on the roads in winter apart from cars that live near the seaside most cars last four years my wife’s 20y old Ford Focus apart from some service rust on some off the suspension parts it is looking like it will last for another 20y with the price of new cars these days I hope so

It is now April 2022 and I'm curious if it's had yearly reapplications and how it looks underneath. Why no updates?

  4. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mark Pasieka says:

surprised you are not spraying fluid film, thought that they were sponsoring you with the amount you use it welsewhere

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Brian W says:

I'd love to see a follow up video. What are you currently using? How long did the Krown last?

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Don says:

How is your impression of Krown now? I haven't seen an after winter video. I am wanting to do this.

  7. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Andrew Somerville says:

I had some pretty serious issues after the 2nd and third applications of Krown on a 2013 Kia Optima. The door handles all had foam gaskets under them. The adhesive let go on these and drooled all over the doors. The gaskets swelled up and the handles wouldn't close flush to the boy. The rubber over the trunk release swelled up and fell off. The outer hood gasket swelled up and would visibly wrinkle out when the hood was closed, which was mostly an eyesore. After the fourth year, the A/C drain hose rotted off from it. I traded in the car after this, since my dealership said they would not warranty any more damage from the Krown.

To be fair, I didn't notice any issues until after the second year of applications. In total, I had it done 4 times, and rubber deterioration accelerated each time.

I've never used the crown but I do use fluid film. Seems to be very similar.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mike Sawyer says:

That did not look like tar undercoat – that was rubberized undercoat – there is a big difference

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars LUIS FRANCO says:

What product is this? Thank you for sharing. God bless you.

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Nathan Mciver says:

Getting my truck done at krown right now, watched alot of videos on it, and the price of my vehicle, it's worth $160 for piece of mind

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mike Gilbert says:

Thumbs down for failing to follow up. Do what you say you’re going to do.

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Lundy says:

Looks like they did a good job.

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Brett DeWall says:

I'm thinking about using the Krown on a working show truck. Putting it on right before winter how noticeable will the crown be come show season? Will it wear off enough to where you will no longer be able to see it?

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ben Voyt says:

What are your thoughts are non rubberized rust oleum for touching up small rust spots?

Are you familiar with the Tectyl brand automobile product line ? I would like to see you do some hits to shits reviews on it

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Travis says:

ventilation holds r the shit! i put them everywhere, i dont do the grease thing tho i jus clean it up wipe it down with solvent n spray it, n spray bomb the inside after pressure washing iv used that method on about 6 or 7 trucks over 10 12 years n cant say i have much problem with rust, manufacturers make those moisture traps, i hate to say this cuz imma sound like a quack, but it doesnt hurt car company if the customer has to buy another one a little sooner than normal.. maybe not tho idk

  24. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Okan Korsal says:

Would you recommend the black tar spray on new vehicles?

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars A Remedy Project says:

What do you call the seal at the front of the engine hood? My ‘11 Grand Cherokee is missing one on the passenger side (there are two shorter ones as opposed to one long like yours). And is your door seal by the drains after-market and how is it beneficial? Thanks.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars William Ward says:

A Tundra truck..??? Sorry.. I never understood that..?? You ever hear the saying I'd rather push my Harley then ride a rice burner..lol

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars alexander lugo says:

Eric o should do an update in your truck

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rocky says:

Krown is the only true rust proofing method at least here in Ontario. I heard of Rust Check is good but I don’t know much about them.

The only thing I want to say to anyone that is considering any kind of treatment is do not go with either Honda or Toyota rust proofing. They are actually worst for your vehicles especially the Honda rustproofing. They are crooks, the treatment actually traps moisture in and vehicles will rot inside out. Trust me, I am speaking out of experience. I wished that I had treated Krown proofing on all my cars in the last 3 decades.

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bill Wilkat says:

Your rant on the coating crap is bang on–I ony had that done once on a car and it separated everywhere from the surfaces and collected salt and water and rusted faster than ever–an oil spray is by far a better solution. Is there an update on this application ?

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars simonne234 says:

I had my car Krown undercoating done and since then when I use my driver side windows up or down my window is full of krown oil that cannot be washed off. as soon as I clean the window and I put it down it comes back full of oil please help me with this problem

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jennifer Benvie says:

How's it going now, I wonder?

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bernard Jurs says:

How much is it cost to have rust proof by krown done is CRC marine undercoating spray can ok to use I've been using fluid flim for a few years now

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Josiah Cormier says:

If you look at any testing video of krown. It does not hold up against salt. Corrosion Free, Fluid Film and Rust cure is the best stuff for preventing rust.

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars justchillin90 says:

How long is this Krown spray supposed to last from one application?

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bob Gaudet says:

I thought you were using fluid film in the shop are you still doing undercoating please update me if something changed?

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars socalpunk05 says:

Is there an update?? I can't find it… I'm looking at using henderson brothers in michigan.. 8 month waiting list… But they say they remove the panels to spray. No drilling holes. 600 to do a 4 door Civic

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hola! twadam says:

I've used fresh oil, used oil, and fluid film. All 3 products work well and were worth the investment. My door seals did swell and droop and look terrible after many years of applications. I bought new seals this year and find it a small price to pay for a 20 year old truck that is still rust free.

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Where’s Waldo says:

I use spray white lithium grease and WD40. Yes it collects some dust. And in the spring it’s still there and wipes off with a cloth looking like new.

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars James Lacy Kamuf says:

Thanks for all the excellent hard work – keep up the great job!

  41. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars High-Tech Redneck says:

You guys are funny. In Canada the annual krown coating is part of owning your car. It doesn't do anything bad and the dirt stuck ng to the chassis makes it work better but chassis maintenance becomes a dirty job!

  42. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tyler Wilcox says:

Would you still recommend this product ?.

  43. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Bill Taylor says:

Did it sound quiter. In cab

  44. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hybrid American Dude says:

Based on this video. I went and had my 2000 excursion done. It is amazing how the Krown product has helped save my favorite trucks life. Thanks for talking me into it!

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Lok Tom says:

Up here in the Great White North.
If the mechanic or used car buyer see all that crappy oily dust, he knows he got a good one.

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sean McGuirk says:

When checking their website pricing for a 4 door truck, it stated $149.95.
I am skeptical that every vehicle gets the thorough treatment that EricO's Tacoma got, especially including the wash after application. There's too much labor & product to justify that low price point and leaves a lot of room for rushing the job and an incomplete application. Where's the profit margin? If it isn't applied completely and thoroughly in all vulnerable areas, it is a problem.

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert Simpson says:

Would it be good to spray Krown on the inside of the Chrysler TIPM box??

  48. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars El Guapo says:

    Where's the new one?

  49. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Danny Hinds says:

I am a retired from GM Toyota is junk
