I'm removing wheel speed sensor torx bits, the first one rounded off instant due to the tiny spline surfaces being corroded. I have a milwaukee Impact driver, and damaged screw removal kit, am I best using one of these instead, or if the torx bits are badly corroded is it gonna give a headache.. And best using a damaged screw removal set and a drill. Many thanks amigo

Thanks for the tip on valve grindning compound! It just saved the day for me. A close to stripped out T50. Some heat, some impact and the compound and it turned out like it had no damage to the head whatsoever. 👍

Spit and some ajax/comet/barkeepers friend works too. Any abrasive powder. Don't get it soaked, just enough to make a glob on the apex.

Removed many a fastener ruined by an avionics tech on many an aircraft with that trick.

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars D.A. says:

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars ucnhtmenow says:

So I've had one forever that a neighbor gave me in a tool box, and it seems like he made a huge flat head from a socket and it was on the impact driver, which is why I didn't know there was a 3/8. socket adapter under it. I seen it while researching the noise my electric impact made, and I seen the 3/8 on it. I immediately ran into the garage, grabbed it and pulled that huge flat head thing off. Now I have to find something to use it on.
