Now does this Also control your idle? My screw was bent on my 3.3l not sure if that affects it have low idle
What was its symptoms. That's why I'm looking on here to try to find out what is causing my symptoms. He just goes straight to the fix. Fix for what? Mine surges at idle.

Yo Eric O @southmainautorepairllc the throttle body mounting gasket is the big circular gasket. The one under that spacer adapter thing that goes from a big circle to 4 smaller ones, comes with the intake manifold gasket kit. I've never been able to find that gasket by itself.. loosening those bolts does loosen that gasket under that plate that we didn't see in the video, but because u didn't remove or even mess with that plate, should be absolutely fine… Lol on mine, I removed it all and then realizes I didn't have either gasket! Haha used rtv and believe it or not, I TOTALLY have a vacuum leak go figure. Stupid me hahahaha. Love ur channel man! I'm always watching!

Three bond has saved me more than once when I forgot that gasket order.
I have a 2004 xterra and when I put a new intake gasket i bend the plate where the screw hits that sensor and after that I had a high idle,when cold it was 1,500 and it will drop to 1,100 so I bend that bracket that way it wont touch the sensor and now 1,000-900 cold and 750 when hot,I dont know why but this is what that sensor suppose to do but on my truck it seems like it dont need it😂

Auto zone sells a gasket rejuvenating product that is great when you have to reuse a gasket.
MY 99 is running fast as hell. once it warms up the idle goes up and down if it is in park or neutral. if it's in gear it idles at around 1,000 RPM. I noticed mine is covered in corrosion.

I'm sure this has been brought up, but there is a Japanese Standard for Phillips head fasteners that is slightly different than standard Phillips.
I work on Japanese industrial electronics and I bought a screwdriver after I found this out and have yet to cam out of the head. I don't know if this is always true, but the japanese screws have a dimple on the head.
JUST WATCHED THIS VIDEO. HAVING TROUBLE WITH HIGH IDLE. CHECKED IACV. TOOK OFF AND CLEANED. DIDN'T BENCH CHECK. NO CEL's LIVE IN LAS VEGAS. REAL HOT HERE. DID A BYPASS ON COOLANT LINES TO THROTTLE BODY. COULD THAT BE A PROBLEM IF NOT THE PROBLEM?

Ive got a 91 nissan d21 4×4 with the 2.4 ka24e in it. I just spent over 2k on having the head gasket..water pump..plugs …radiator..oil.. antifreeze…and 2 new fuel injectors on it. Ran fine for about 2 weeks then started sputtering like a fouled plug…replaced the plugs and fuel filter in it and it still sputters and lacks power..noticed one of the new injectors is leaking could that cause the sputtering in it? Thanks for any info
Apparently that Bees wax is reliable stuff. I fly a jet that uses a similar bees wax canister inside the engine fuel control. Rolls Royce Spey engine.

Eric, Just so you know, they make special Phillips Drivers for Metric ISO screws. The American version, while it does somewhat fit, is not quite the same. Also if they are really tight, try a Phillips Pozidrive tip (with the little serations on it) … it grips better)…
