Damn the dash in this pathfinder is the same as the newer model frontiers Nissan is cheap.
Fun fact those who use the middle finger to point have a higher intelligence than those who use index finger. Or it’s a American thing as the middle finger is easier to use from practice when using the international salut to the fu gods.
I just replaced my clockspring last year on my Infiniti … Nissan is known to have crappy clocksprings and they control so much!

Hey Mr O, I was getting nervous when your were fondling with the steering wheel airbag and that mini prybar in your hand and the airbag accidently deploying and diving the prybar into you head. I feel confident that you know what your doing but accidents do happen. Please be careful remember safety third.

Hey Eric, Its kevin from Bath. Always a pleasure watching you work. Very thorough and precise. Tell Josh he did a great job on the alignment. Car feels tighter than ever. I'm glad you recommended the rear control arms and hardware. I screwed up & only ordered 2 adjusting bolts . Unfortunately I didn't figure that out until the day before I got the parts so I had to wait anther week. I ended up getting the trailing arms through Mitsubishi parts site which ended up being cheaper than Rock Auto. Funny thing though. I happened upon 2 other Mitsubishi parts sites and the rear front control arm with the balljoints were discontinued. I looked on Rock Auto and they had the rear front arm for twice what I paid. Still have to pull the brakes apart as Josh noticed the brakes were dragging. Such is life, the todo list that never ends. Thanks for sharing, Kevin.
Giving you free tools with names plastered all over is just smart. If I was watching your vids and saw you missing a tool, sending you one to make your job easier would make me money. That is if I sold that tool.

Great video. In my opinion if i had diagd the vehicle i would have reconnected to the CAN bus and monitored the angle sensor signal by manually turning the sensor with the clock spring disconnected.
Another reason why I hate modern cars.
Way too much needless wiring.
Most likely a $10 part they got online or a part from an Xterra, just jammed it in .
Your lucky you were able to pull codes. The steering angle sensor on my Tundra shorted out and when it did it crashed the entire CAN network. No scan tool communication at all. All CELs turned on in the dash, the truck started and ran, but all gauges were dead except for the fuel gauge. Took me 2 days to figure out.

I had a clock spring fail on my Mazda. I paid a mechanic to fix it right and it was not much money. Without all the service info, you can destroy things quick.
My observations of American owned cars. 100,000 miles minimum, TPMS light on, always on and dash could do with a clean.
Not defending any one here but I had a job that had a bajillion boltz an I ha 2 left over. Not sure where they went but hey free bolts who can complain. Just kidding I'm having nightmares just were they go.
