I can guarantee that Ford will not cover damage to this vehicle! I was a technician for Ford in past and many times people came back with brand new diesel trucks 3 or 4 days off the lot with has in tank and all were declined. Funny how 85% of time the excuses were " my wife did not know". Our director of operations would be weekly informing folks that warranty is for manufacturer failure, not a dumb ass attack. Yet in the end the customer paid that big bill!
Another thing was a few times folks putting red diesel in them, huge no no! Agriculture fuel is not clean like pump fuel and also illegal to do! Yet also voids manufacture warranty for Ford and Chrysler!

  11. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mark K says:

LOL, Ray says do not do this at home as he is a trained professional. I can say with high certainty everyone has done worst. That was just a tablespoon worth of gasoline lol.

I worked for a Texas furniture company in the Houston store starting in 2002 and in 2004 we traded in the old GMC full size van for a Sprinter van (diesel). A few months later we borrowed the Austin store's older Sprinter for a few days and they had big "DIESEL FUEL ONLY" labels near the fuel gauge on the dash and inside the fuel door. I was pretty sure what happened and later it was confirmed, not 6 months after they got it somebody put half a tank of unleaded in it. I never found out how much the repairs cost but being Mercedes I bet it wasn't cheap.

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Kyler Dyakanoff says:

The prime procedure for those engines is key on for 30sec 5 times not 1 sec it's not a gas engine

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sal Cardenas says:

Yup I have been that dummy and it cost 12k but for those who have GEICO you should check to see if they have added mechanical break down to your policy cause I didn’t know I had it the service tech told me to ask and sure enough they added it on my policy so they covered the cost no questions asked they had a check there by the next day all GEICO wanted was a fuel sample and what’s crazy is it’s only around $10 more a month to add it and it covers all the drive train and much more minus your deductible mine was $500

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars SebDevlin says:

i saw something in the beginning that made me go "oh hey, does he have someone shadowing him? a trainee?" and then eventually he panned right enough to see it was just a fucking leg. By itself.

  16. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Greg Hill says:

now with fuel prices so high people are stealing fuel from cars to run theirs maybe someone stole the wrong fuel to fill the truck

  17. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Robert A Booey says:

Had customer put diesel in a mustang v6 we asked her how she fit it in she just did😂😂😂😂

  18. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David x. says:

Yeah that looked a lot like WATER coming out. (Edit) It was petrol.

  19. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars J says:

Why would you wanna work on diesel?

  20. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Naunkshug T-Bebe says:

It’s a ford! No explanations needed!

  21. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars camshaftprelube says:

I work on Hinos. People will fill them with gasoline and drive them until they won't move another inch. Drain, blow out lines, replace filters and it's ready to roll again. They survive this pretty well.

  22. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Raptor 667 says:

And a bunch of new tyres

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Paul Johansson says:

My brother had driven my father's caddie. And put gas ⛽ in the tank and it was a diesel.

We need head band cameras that sit like the new style head lamps I keep seeing come out

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jack O'Neill says:

The lift pump is noisy because its not designed to be lifting petrol. Clean it out and it'll be fine.

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ray Hayward says:

Filled my Ford Territory with petrol. Had the dawning as I put the filler back on the bowser. I felt sick…we are on holidays and its a Saturday. Walked into the counter and explained. The mechanic is here he said….see what we can do. Dont turn the ignition on we will push it in. Tank out pump out full clean out. Back on the road in under 4 hrs. All this for under $400. Sweet.

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Jonathan Williams says:

I’m not a mechanic, but I was waiting for him to say it smells like gas when draining the filter

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ronnie Maeker says:

    Save a fuel sample…(CYA)…

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Brian McNeil says:

There is just so much patience that is needed to be a mechanic! I would be cussing every other breath!! Hahaha

  31. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Joseph Erhardt says:

Wait–gas nozzles don't fit diesel fuel fillers, do they?

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Carl ODonnell says:

how could gas get into a diesel if the gas pump nozzles are different sizes to the diesel pump nozzles at least in the USA they are or so I thought.

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Matt Smith says:

My first thought was that diesel didn’t look right, it’s was too clear and viscous.

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Ithaqhua says:

Yeah, that's not gonna survive. Replace the entire fuel system. Diesel has a tiny amount of lubrication in it, for the high pressure pump. Gasoline does not. Gasoline in a diesel means the high pressure pump runs without lubrication, which leads to metallic particles infiltrating every nook and cranny of the system, which is also why the injector balance is way off and at that stage, it's not recoverable. If I remember correctly, one injector easily goes for 800.. HP pump 1,5 min.. fuel lines, tank cleansing… etc… 10k is very much a realistic estimate on this. Also, the new filters are now contaminated and need to be replaced again. I hated those jobs, they're time and pain intensive.

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Hola! tiredmummy says:

My ex has put petrol in his diesel cars numerous times (6 to my knowledge). I doubt it had anything to do with the storage tanks at the fuel station. Hes just a dumbass!!! Hes "blown up" 3 engines through not putting oil in them!!!Hes had 9 cars in 20 years… I still have my 51 reg honda civic…

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Sam Izdat says:

Hmm, the guys states it’s a “turbine power” vehicle. There are no turbine road vehicles. The guy mean “turbocharged”. I’m therefore supposed to actually listen to this guy?

  40. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Love Of Christ says:

This is common practice anytime you work with a diesel truck even though it has nothing to do with the fuel system always always get a sample of the fuel before you go throwing parts on it to see if he would fix the issue, it would’ve saved you a lot of time and effort and money if you would’ve known that the few had gasoline to begin with. So remember always check the fuel that is inside the vehicle before you start working on it it would save the customers a whole lot of money and you a lot of aggravation because most of the time customer said you didn’t fix it so why should I pay you did not fix anything. The most you can charge the customer like this is just a diagnostic charge but be honest with yourself all those parts you install before giving the proper diagnosis you’re gonna eat those especially the cost of all those items. That’s what a great mechanic does and you have a repeat business time in and time out God bless you all take care✝️✝️✝️

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars m4c1990 says:

DPF… That's some stupid ass shit.
When my DPF regenerates, it does it at the worst time possible and is not finished when I arrive at my destination.
The car smokes and stinks like hell. So go for another round with high RPM to blow it free. How Environment Friendly. NOT.
If my DPF breaks, I drill a Hole through it or buy a Dummy and Programm it out. Same with EGR/AGR, which is even stupider.

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars pydeeny says:

It's rather interesting how 'special' a diesel job seems to be to this audience, over here in the UK it's very common place, as in about 30-40% of cars in the UK are diesel, including one of mine.
I've also seen the whole petrol in a diesel thing many a time before and it's true it does a very good job of ruining your customer's day. Diesel in a petrol not so bad, and supposedly impossible although people manage it somehow.

  47. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tictactoe says:
