Fun Fact: This video has 10x+ as many views as there were actual Prowlers made…

  23. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Rulusan says:

Yeah, old cars that weren't all that popular when they were new can be an absolute PiTA to get parts for… Sometimes you even have to fabricate your own. Know a guy that actually CNC'd a old plastic part out of aluminum to replace some POS plastic part off an older car because he couldn't find it anywhere. Luckily it didn't have tight tolerance because it was just a bracket but it had to be shaped just so to fit in a tight space.

What a trooper there Mrs O steppin in with those lovely mails. Didn't even ask for a glove . That's true love right there baby !

  25. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Mavic Aerials says:

The Original mangled O-Rings could have been leaking and that was why it wouldn't hold pressure.

  26. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Charles Gould says:

You could just replace drive train fuel system etc.. then all you need is sheet metal

  27. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Chris_P_Bacon says:

If only the Prowler had a manual transmission, it may have saved Chrysler.

  28. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Malcolm Adams says:

I pay some skilled person like you.

  29. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars M Rose says:

Nothing like a 22 year old fuel soaked plastic parts to make you consider going home early for dinner, and a three Martini after dinner drink. Well done Eric ๐Ÿ‘

  30. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars boeli space says:

with plasitic fuel tanks always put ring direct back to prevent deform. or empty tank first.

  32. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Crosby Haye says:

I have a 07 express 1500 my head lights are are wacky. Left side works sometimes or only the low beam cones on but not at full brightness like not enough power. The right and left head lamp high beam fuses has no power going to it. Also the crankcase fuse # 27 has no power also.
The engine runs like new. The last thing done before this was replacing O2 sender (B2- S2).
    Any direction???
    Thanks Crosby.

  33. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Greg Petty says:

Uglier than the Viper . Love working with 40 year old VW Vanagon plastic here . Great work

  34. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Tsukki _ AMV says:

Suprised there was an access port for the fuel pump. Thought you were going to have to drop the tank. The 10k mile Prowler lives again.

  35. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars William Mason says:

Piece of crap for a pump should have came with the top

  36. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Clyde Stanley says:

That is the stupidest fuel pump set up ever. Really?

  37. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Louis Schueler says:

Thinking about it would not just the back pressure valve replacement work since the fuel pump actually pumped fuel while running just would not hold pressure when stopped

  38. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars TheProjectGuy says:

Chrysler certainly knows how to form sheet metal. Beautiful car that was a classic the day it rolled of the production line.

  39. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Michael Durkin says:

Obviously the manufacturer of the fuel tank replaced 800lb gorilla that was installing lock ring with his100 lb Filipino buddy. That's why that took works now!

Props to everyone who gets the AvE reference

Another job Well done Thank you!

  45. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daddyoh says:

Maybe it was the plastic O-rings causing the fuel pressure leak down

  46. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars French20cent says:

    Awesome job as always !

Though, I've had 2 bad fuel pumps on my cars, due to old gas clogging up the small filter on the bottom, and then the pump itself.
I would have suggested (if possible) to pump all the old gas remaining in the tank and clean it up as good as possible, to avoid clogging up the new pump.

But anyways, thanks for your videos, I learn a lot.
